I was told I need a $300 service call plus hourly charge to set it up. That doesn't seem right if the machine is not responding to the directions we have received for set up, so I'm not happy I can not use the fax machine feature.

Print quality pretty good and faster then my previous Xerox 8560mfp which gave me 13 years of good service. Hope I can enjoy the same Xerox reliability with the 6515. My wife finds it easy to use and we already have 450 prints on it our first month.

Offered to be there after the sale to help. It wasn't a big sale to began with but they treated me like the best customer! Thanks. After the sale, shipped quickly as promised, set up easy, and Xerox support walked me through all the set up. They are great!

It came with an installation CD which I used first. Come to find out those drivers were two years old so had to remove those and install from the Xerox website. Why not just have me do that first? Everything working great now.

The setup of scanning over network is unnecessarily difficult. If you don't have an IT professional to do this for you then plan to spend 2 to 4 hours getting this to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed I have been using this printer for about two months. It is functioning perfectly now, but it took quite a while to set up the scanning function. The instructions were not clearly stated so a bit of trying different ways to get the scanner to work was a challenge. Another problem I had was getting the envelope tray to be recognized. That was more than a challenge but I have figured it out and it's working well. I resolved that issue finally and the scanner is working perfectly well. On the whole, this is a great printer with terrific functions. The color output is spectacular. I like having the option of using different types of paper and envelopes. I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants or needs a multifunction laser printer that will impress customers or anyone in general. By the way, the price was right too.

In less than 40 min. I was up and running with fax, scanner, printer, and he explained everything to me now I am a pro I really love it it handles my small business requests easily so happy I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good and Not So Good - Costs of the cartridges is concerning me. I don't yet know the number of copies that the larger cartridges will produce. The software that operates the printer is opaque and lacks an interface with a computer for easy adjustment. Plus, the production of a "test page" whenever the unit is turned on is annoying. There should be an interface program that would allow adjustments to the computer without trying to work through the odd work pad that is attached to the unit.

I asked if i would get the same tech support as I did with Dell but I found out that they dont support the printer but Xerox would. I was concerned at first but I have since found the Tech support from Xerox to be great and they are even willing to come to my location for free if i need help!!

This notification came up with no reason. Took black out put back in, stil same notification, turned unit off then back on and message went away... stay tuned...

When I went to set it up I found out that there is a WiFi adapter that is need in order to use it in the wireless configuration. It was not in the box so I have to purchase it separate. Extremely disappointed since it is NOT mentioned in the description. The description says it will setup directly to the internet. A big lie.

I previously had the Dell version of this printer and it was very user friendly, but the Xerox is not. It does a great job of printing, but usually requires many extra steps to produce the results you want, compared to the Dell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Somewhat frustrating machine This is great when you are just wanting to do regular black and white printing on regular paper. The challenges begin when trying to use the color with cardstock or unusually-sized papers. It doesn't automatically detect what is in the machine, and there are way too many combinations that have to be exactly right to get it to decide to go on and accept the print message from my computer. It took me four hours to figure it out when trying to print 5.5 x 8.5 color baby shower invitations, and I never did figure out the combination to get the envelopes to print for the invitations. I finally took them to work and used a B&W Brother and was able to crank out 25 envelopes in 45 minutes - most of that time just being the time it took me to type the addresses. I don't know that I could recreate the combination again either. I was extremely frustrated since situations such as this were the biggest reason we went on and purchased a much fancier machine with color and multiple capabilities.

Like the front load wasn't expecting a copy cartridge and toner cartridges. Bought the extra tray and glad we did to be able to load different paper type in each tray. Tray that it comes with is smaller than the add on second tray for capacity

Almost $900 to replace ink. In the process of seeing how difficult it will be to return so I can go back to the HP all in one printers I've been using for several years.

Within the same week of hooking this up, there was an error code to reinsert the "magenta" toner and restart. One we did that it said reinsert the "yellow" toner and restart. This still did not resolve the issue so we were unable to copy for a few days while Xerox sent out a replacement. It was not empty as we had just made the purchase. Would not purchase again or recommend. Seems like we were shipped a faulty copier.

The built quality of the unit is good and it means business. My last Xerox printer lasted 7+ years. It still work but just the toner is getting expensive. Been using it for a month, and good so far.

Truly an amazing printer, as you would expect because of Xerox. I switched from competitors due to their quality controls and support. Support on your Xerox printer starts the very day it is shipped, not when you receive it, much less the day you start using it. 10 days after my 1 yr. warranty ended, I am having print smear, over print issues printing a simply sheet of labels. Now I am to pay $299 for 30 minutes of support for an onsite technician, $69 for each additional 15 minutes. Almost the price of the printer itself.

Physically it was no problem except for the weight. Installing the software drivers did not go well at all on Windows 10. I was not able to install the TWAIN driver and had to use WSD. I removed and reinstalled and a different name showed up (I didn't make the change). The fax from computer is hidden in the driver. Select the printer to printer, select options, then add a fax number. Directions and documentation are at a loss. This is a do it yourself. Don't expect much help, even online. Had a HP laser and had to replace it because no driver worked with Windows 10. Such a waste, the printer is a work horse.

This is my first Laser jet printer and was scared to try Xerox printer because I personally do not have any experience with Xerox before, but so far so good. Opened the box, load the paper and call tech support. It was up & running in less than 30 mins. Printing is pretty fast, Scanning is great & Copying is awesome. Xerox 6515 DNI doesn't come with built in Wi-Fi, but Xerox will provide a wireless adapter that you have to install on the back door of the printer. I would highly recommend this printer.

All was good for about 2 weeks then the problems started, apparently some rollers, now I had to change them myself, they did send them for free, but issue not resolved. Perhaps I got what I paid for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pre-release of firmware was shipped with product Xerox firmware level 65.3.41 was shipped with the product. Current firmware release at time I ordered the product was 65.10.71 I was advised by Xerox Tech Support that firmware release 65.3.41 WAS A PRE-RELEASE version of the software. The printer should have never been shipped with a pre-release version of the firmware. My outage as a result of CDW shipping the printer with pre-release firmware was that some features do not work correctly and I had to spend multiple man hours figuring out the pre-release level of firmware had serious bugs in the features I used as primary criteria for selecting the product. Come on - get your act together and ship products with the latest firmware. Especially for expensive products such as this printer. There is no excuse for this to have happened to any customer. So too with installation instructions. Surely you must employ qualified technical writers who know how to write clear procedures. Am having a problem with the envelope feed. The feeder crushes the last third of No. 10 envelopes as they pass through the printer. Do you have a solution for this? Your product is top notch though.

We have it wired from our router for a more stable connection. Seems an update occurred and our pc's lost communication to the printer. We reinstalled the driver and it has been fine ever since.

I attempted to use this printer: Wi-Fi connecter Jammed Paper tray- opened the tray to put paper in. Tray won't close w/ or w/o the paper in it. Printer parts on the inside looks refurbished. This printer was paid for w/ the expectation that it was new. This will be returned.

When we were able to get a laser printer, we contacted Dell, and our whole world changed. Our new Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DNI did that. Having a home/office is now more enjoyable when there are things needed to be printed or created. We're taking printing to a whole new level now. Thanks Dell and Xerox, you guys Rock!!!!!

The user interface is complicated to the point where trying to do a simple task requires multiple steps. The set-up took forever. Even though I was installing it on a wired network, it either wouldn't find the network or would drop off of the network after printing something. Never could get it to scan a document. When trying to work through the difficulties, the help section would then tell me to contact my IT Administrator, which I don't have in my home. After trying to make it work for two solid days, I sent it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, Big Printer Overall a good unit. Exceptionally large, so plan for the space. Tried to hook it up to scan via WIFI and would get constant error codes. Works fine when connected by USB. Wireless printing works well. Xerox tech support was unhelpful.

Once the networking was set up, this printer has been excellent. Scanning is fast and easy. The color prints are a higher quality than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great MFP Besides being a pretty large printer for a home office, this MFP does everything needed, and does it well. I was considering a Lexmark color laser MFP because it was a bit smaller, but the Lexmark only came with starter toner cartridges where as the Xerox came with standard cartridges. I'm very happy with this device.

Had to call xerox for help in setting up fax. Need to have a password which was not included in manuals. We are still very happy with the printer.

Wireless printing is a great feature. The cartridges couldn't be simpler to replace. Setup was easy. Great print quality. Quiet operation. Incredible machine for the price. Happy, happy, happy!

I was unable to connect it to WiFi with the WiFi adapter that comes with it. Also right after turning it on the first time it was already giving me error 062-380 (scanner lamp not working. I called Xerox technical support and they hung up the call 3 times while I was explaining my issue!!

Maintenance was sent to our office twice over a period of weeks and issues were not resolved(not impressed with service). We finally resolved to get a new one shipped and ship the old one back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer if you can complete the installation.........and that's a big if Am generally pleased with the function of the 6515 but you must be a computer specialist to get everything installed. I was googling everything that I could think of to set up the scan to email function. The instructions are written for a business with an information technology specialist rather than a personal consumer. Should also consider sending the admin password along with the package. While doing the initial setup, you need to log in as an admin to establish a lot of the functions. Little did I know that I needed to download an admin guide just to get the password to complete the installation. Set up is definitely not user friendly at all.

Maybe it would not be hard to set up for someone with more technical experience. It definitely was not a plug in an go type of set up. It does make great copies

Took a little effort to find the correct drivers, but considering I got this up and running as a network printer with my total lack of tech skills speaks to how relatively easy it was to set up. Print quality seems good although we haven't printed anything with major detail requirements. Scanning is also good but I can't figure out how to scan at resolutions huge than 600x600; the specs said it can scan into the 1000s.

The only reason and this is bot against Dell, is the set up is not easy or clear for a personal printer. An IT guy might understand most of the setting. I fint it hard to set up where you scan to computer or open a progam and comtrol the scans. Like most printers i just need to inderstand this one and things will be ok. I am very happy with this printer and would recommend it to anyone.
