I already had my HomeKit setup to use with an EcoBee4 thermostat. No issues at all. I am looking around what device I should automate next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good concept, but unreliable and buggy!I've been running a mix of Weemo switches and plugs for about a year now with Apple HomeKit. The Weemo bridge is still a requirement to get the switches to communicate with HomeKit, although new firmware updates for the plugs is supposed to let them work without needing it.What I've found is that I have to power cycle the Weemo bridge regularly (probably as often as once every 4-5 days or so?), or else random devices stop being able to be controlled via HomeKit.I kept Googling this issue, trying to find a solution -- and all I could track down was a guy who once worked for Belkin writing the embedded code that the Weemo Bridge uses. He said it was "full of bugs" - but the company pretty much eliminated his whole software development group and was no longer able to update/maintain the code that's in it. So customers are pretty much stuck with the product being glitchy. I also saw people who actually had to set up a Weemo Bridge on a Weemo Plug and configure the plug to turn the power off and back on for the Bridge on a schedule to keep it working right. Ridiculous!

I also have my home devices linked to another voice command device. The Bridge actually executed instructions (turn lights on or off, etc.) more quickly than the same commands through a competing device. Very happy with it!

I no longer use Alexa, she would always take 5 seconds or longer to respond to the Wemo switches/plugs (if at all). Now with Siri, as soon as you prompt her to turn on a light, it’s on before she says ok, instantaneously. I am generally impressed with how quickly and seamless the operations are. Thank you Belkin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to set up and works wellthe setup instructions are easy to follow. setup is easy. siri can now control my light switches.i didn't realize that it must be plugged into the RJ-45 ethernet port of a ethernet router/switch/hub/modem. Also, it needs a usb cable to power it. It would have been cooler if it was either wifi or it could get power over ethernet.

I would say it was the easiest WiFi device install I have performed. The Wemo devices I have immediately showed up in the Apple home app. Very pleased with install and performance.

Don’t like that dimmers and mini plugs will show up twice in HomeKit, but that’s not a big deal. Have noticed that sometimes I’ll lose control of a device if it loses power, but they all come back pretty quick. Good little device!

Can’t see why it doesn’t since HomeKit is authorized via software now. Couple more lines of code (I know, a few more) and the job is done.

I’ve had SmartThings for a number of years and it has worked well with the Wemo ecosystem but having the bridge allowed for more control through the HomeKit system. While it’s a nice feature to have, it’s absolutely not necessary but if you’re predominant system is HomeKit, then this is a must have.

It finally dropped and I love it so far with one exception:Before you add the hub make sure you like the names of the wemo devices. Changing the names after the hub has been added seems to break the reliability of the Siri integration. Reset the hub and start over and everything is great. I hoped this can be resolved with an update. With this minor exception I still have to say good job Belkin. One request could you add three way switch support.

Seems to integrate well with the Apple HomeKit. The only surprise I found was that the bridge needs its own power source. So you’ll need an extra outlet near your router.

It discovered and connected my older wemo wall switches and outlets quickly to my Apple HomeKit. Vast improvement with installation compared to the extremely wonky installation of older (2-3 year old) wall switches I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works flawless. Setup for HomeKit not so pretty.Everything is working flawlessly once it is set up. However, when sitting up in HomeKit it crashed the first time. Then the second attempt it was just a little odd. When you go to set up it takes you to the App Store for HomeKit. Well I don’t need to go to the App Store because I already have HomeKit. But then you have to click ‘open’ for it to open and HomeKit and then you have to add the accessory from there. It doesn’t explain it very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Communicating with SiriIt seems to have issues communicating with Siri. I’ll tell my device to turn on or off and Siri says ok but the device doesn’t respond. I’ll tell Alexa the same statement and it responds right away. Powering off and on the bridge seems to fix the issue but that gets old fast having to keep doing so.

All wemo devices instantly are available to home kit.Minor issue with having to choose between Wemo name and HomeKit name. Haven't had enough time with it yet but using Home Kit rooms concept doesn't translate within wemo. So I intend to transition to only home kit interface and rules / scheduling.

Works great with all Wemo products but unable to get it to connect the Nest through Apple Home. Also, the micro USB cable is too short, only 3 feet long so you need to have a power source close to your router.

Took just a few minutes installing the bridge and realized I had cause a hiccup with the mini's since they had already been connected directly to Apple Home. Once I removed the mini's and add them using the bridge, all was fine. I now have about 12 mini's/switches connected, share both the wemo app and Apple Home with wifey. Everything has worked well and we love the Siri capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wemo Bridge running great, 2nd week now!Wemo Bridge Hardware has been working without issue so far and the install with the Wemo app was pretty easy. I purchased the bridge to connect an older Wemo Light Switch to Apple Home and that's where I had a problem. The Bridge "setup process" duplicated all of my HomeKit ready Wemo Mini's I had previously installed in the Home app. Fixed by removing all Wemo devices from Home App. and re-running the Bridge setup process. Now all of my Wemo devices are running through Bridge without issue, there does not seem to be another choice. Assuming I have this right, and if this information was provided up front I could have saved a few hours. All-in-All happy with the bridge so far and hope to see more devices (sensors in particular) from Wemo soon.

In addition, shipping time was very slow also, especially for the price. The only reason I bought thru Belkin.com was the 40% off for the new bridge. I would not use Belkin.com again based on this experience.

I had 3 insight switches and 3 wall switches and wanted to create scenes so I could control groups of devices. I'm still debating whether to go Alexa or HomeKit in home automation. This bridge works flawlessly. Instal was as easy as plugging it into my router and power. HomeKit on iPhone recognized it immediately and scanning the install code on the device or the card that comes with it worked without a hitch. The bridge is small and unobtrusive. One of my switches is about 55 ft from the bridge and router and it works well too. I'm very pleased with it. The sale price (-40%) was a great offer.

Time to look elsewhere for a vendor that properly supports their products. Philips Hue perhaps.So frustrating to have invested all of this time and money in to the Wemo ecosystem and now it's all a giant waste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy setup and BOOM everything works!The 4 WEMO devices I use (three plugs and a switch) have been rock-solid for more than a year of use (two in use every day, two rarely used). The additional of Homekit support is a great bonus, and makes me much more willing to add more WEMO devices.Setup is the easiest I've experienced for a home automation device. Find an ethernet port (on your router, or somewhere with a direct connection to your router) and a USB/electrical plug and you're 75% of the way there. Add the WEMO bridge to the iOS Home app, and then click OK to add all of your WEMO devices to the Home app, one at a time. I changed a few names to simplify asking Siri to control the devices (name changes done via the WEMO app), and everything has worked flawlessly.

When it works, it works fine, but the problem is that I have to reboot it roughly once a week--it loses contact with Homekit. Also there is no obvious way to upgrade the firmware. Homekit sends you to the Wemo app and and the Wemo app sends you back to Homekit.

It’s easy to setup. All you do is plug it in and open the Wemo app to do a quick setup. I think the problem people are having is making automation rules in different apps.

The Wemo app which is supposed to control all of the Wemo devices via Wi-fi, has always only worked in the following manner, at least with an iPhone. Once you get your devices set up, you cannot use wi-fi in your home location. The wemo app when connected to your own network will not find more than one or two wemo devices. The solution was to turn OFF wi-fi and connect via cellular. Then it worked just fine. And, that meant that IFTTT worked great. It wasn't on my home network. Now, I don't have to use Wemo app to control my Belkin devices. The Wemo bridge works with Apple's HOME app. Now I use it to control my Wemo devices. It's even faster than the Wemo app ever was. So, my thanks to Belkin for finally solving my problem.

Now they do and through home kit, the devices are incredibly responsive and quick compared to before in the Wemo app. I am very happy with the Wemo Bridge which happens to have a very small footprint: 2 1/2" square X about 3/4" high.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would be great - but isn't for meTook a bit to get working - adding the bridge into Apple Home wouldn't work - took a number of resets and Wemo App restarts before everything had added permissions and the planets aligned. The next three major problems1) renaming wemo devices to make sense in Home seemed to work, but, once again, needs every device running the Wemo app to close and restart before names will synch up correctly. Got there in the end, but....frustrating.2) the Wemo devices work great when I'm home on wifi, but remote access is a complete FAIL. Sometimes works, but mostly not, and all Wemo devices and the Bridge are marked as Not Responding. 3) Home Automations just don't work reliably to Wemo devices, or at all. Home Timed operation of Wemo Power Insight = fail. Home Triggered automation from Eve Motion sensor to Wemo power switch = fail.This last part is the show stopper for me. I'll hang on for a month hoping that there are some firmware fixes, but this is not a functional Bridge as it stands.

I recommend renaming rules in the Wemo App the same as in Homekit. My original rules through the Wemo App continued to work well for the lamps I had programmed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wemo Bridge - simply easyThe Wemo Bridge was easy to setup. Just plug it into your router/modem. I plugged it into my Eero then opened the Wemo app. The bridge showed up and started adding items available for Apple Home. Awesome.

The Home app found it and....it JUST WORKED! Now I can say - "hey Siri, turn off the driveway lights" and, presto, it's done. Thanks Belkin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t support bulbs or makerI specifically bought this so I can operate my Wemo bulbs and maker without a script running on a raspberry pi. This hub only works the 1 switch I have, but I don’t care since the raspberry pi already does that and now I have to keep it on. Totally worthless unless they update it to work with the rest of their stuff, which should have worked with HomeKit from the start!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not always workI have had the bridge for about two weeks now and when I first got it I was happy that I could finally use my WeMo devices with Siri... however half the time the bridge will not be responsive and I find myself having to go to the WeMo app to turn on and off lights... when it does connect it works as intended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works, but lacking Demo Link SupportJust showed up this week and was fairly easy to install and setup. Working well with home kit and Siri. Just wish it supported Demo link light bulbs -- even if just the groupings I have in the Wemo app - vs. each bulb individually.

You simply plug it into power and ethernet and set it up in the Wemo app. For some reason I always think that the white light should stay on all the time, but it doesn't.A couple of times I have had to deal with the "not responding" in HomeKit and had to reset the bridge and or devices. Not sure if it was my fault, Apple, or Wemo, but fixing the problem it easy if you're familiar with logging in to the bridge with the IP address and web browser. If you're not too techy, it might be confusing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Appreciate finally connecting to HomeKit!I have enjoyed the WeMo line of products for years and now am enjoying the ability to control my WeMo devices via HomeKit. The setup was a breeze, although the device did lose connection via HomeKit once within the first week. After power cycling the WeMo Bridge, everything worked properly again. I would give 5 stars if not for the disconnect within the first week.

Take a picture of the back of the WEMO Bridge from the Home App.7. Rename Wemo's as necessary8. Have a beer to celebrate.Caution, you cannot have the WEMO app programmed for your devices AND program the Apple Home, it's an either or situation.

I can not only turn the lights on and off with Siri now, but I can see if they’re on and off no matter where I am in the home app, where my other smart home devices are, all on the home screen. No more fumbling through multiple apps for each separate device. Setup was a breeze and it synced right up to my wemo devices quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wemo Plugs Respond so much faster with this HUBI bought the Wemo HomeKit hub because I thought it would add some easy access to the switches on my iPhone and increase the responsiveness of my Wemo switches. It worked like a charm. I don't have to constantly refresh the Wemo app to get a solid connection anymore it connects to the switches on the first try. I also like how you can notate the plug function as lamp or fan on the homekit app. It makes finding what Wemo I want to control easier. The hub also ensures a stable connection for all my Wemo plugs. I have some really old Wemo plugs and sometimes they would drop connection to my wifi and require a restore to work again. Thanks to this hub all the Wemo devices stay connected without requiring a restore.

Belkin came through with their promise and it was "Worth waiting for" with a special price to Wemo owners too.Thanks Belkin !

After connection to my network and adding the hub to Homekit, I had the option to set my switches into their proper rooms in my home. Now all my WeMo devices work with Siri.

It at least makes it worth it to be able to use HomeKit with my existing Wemo devices. It was fairly easy to set up, although it did take a couple tries before my devices were responding in the Home app. A pleasant surprise was that my old Wemo smart plugs (not the Minis) actually worked with the Bridge, despite not being explicitly supported.

It took about five minutes to set up, and everything work correctly the first time through set up. I am very happy that I now have my Wemo compatible with HomeKit and the Home app. Hopefully we more products in the future continue to be innovative and work just as well. A great product if you use iOS or HomeKit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Started out great, but then...For the first two weeks everything worked as advertised. I set up the bridge to work with Apple's Homekit and it was great. I don't know what happened, but now nothing works. I've reset all devices, including the bridge, reinstalled all apps (a couple of times), cleared data, etc. etc. It's definitely a great idea and when it worked it was great. There must be some significant bugs to work out, though.
