In front of your existing servers, it provides the full suite of Modus™ filtering and intrusion prevention features, including perimeter defense, sender authentications and accreditation layers, Denial-of-Service (DoS) protection, hacking prevention, and attachment blocking -- all managed together within two powerful filtering engines that ensure optimal and unequalled accuracy in catching threatening email and ensuring versatile email policy management.
ModusGate Appliance also offers sophisticated management features such as integrated email caching, email VPN, application to unlimited domains, alias management, disk space management and much, much more. The ModusGate Appliance is based on the same powerful Celestix Scorpio II appliance platform that supports other leading security applications.
Wherever ModusGate is placed in your network, its operations can be monitored using a real-time dashboard display, SNMP, and Windows™ performance monitors. At a glance, system managers can determine the system’s complete operational status and view real-time usage statistics. Gateway operations can be managed either locally or through ModusGate’s convenient web interface.
The ModusGate™ gateway software is extremely efficient. It can however, be deployed in a multi-node ("blockade") configuration to add additional performance and redundancy to existing networks. In this configuration, user settings, and quarantines are centralized between multiple nodes. A two-node combination does not require a load balancer.
