Includes an initial "start up" visit to be conducted at the customer's site during normal business hours. On the agreed-to day, a technician will be dispatched to the site to conduct an internal inspection of UPS's power module and battery pack, set/assure proper configuration of the UPS, inspect and verify the installation of the input and output wiring to and from the UPS devices, and train users in the UPS's diagnostic, operational, and troubleshooting features. Start-up visits must be arranged at least five working days in advance.
For opportunities involving multiple SU6000RT3U, SU10K, or SU10000RT3U units, at no additional charge, Tripp Lite can arrange for the technician to meet during normal business hours to consult with the end user's electrician at the site before the electrical installation commences. Pre-start-up visits must be arranged at least five working days in advance.
If needed, start-up appointments can be arranged during non-business hours for the customer's convenience, but there is an associated off-hours premium charge for this. Start-up visits must be arranged at least five working days in advance.
The on-site warranty program provides 24/7 toll free telephone access to technical support. If necessary, in break-fix situations, a technician will be dispatched to the customer site to troubleshoot the problem and make repairs or adjustments. We advertise the on-site warranty as "next day," but actual execution is usually "same day" for calls placed before 5:00 PM in covered service areas. No premium charge applies for break-fix service visits made during non-business hours.
For customers who purchase one or more auxiliary battery packs to connect to an UPS covered under the on-site warranty program, Tripp Lite requires that customers purchase start up service on such battery packs as well as an on-site warranty of duration equal to that of the UPS to which they are connected.
Zone charges apply for customers whose sites reside outside a covered service area. We can discretely quote start up and warranty for locations more than 350 miles from a covered service area.
Preventative maintenance service visits are not included under this program, but can be contracted for separately. For critical installations, we recommend preventative maintenance visits be conducted by our technicians at least once every two years. We can discuss more details about this option if the end user is interested.
