The U460-003-3AMB USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB-C Portable Hub/Adapter expands the potential of your tablet, laptop, MacBook, Chromebook, smartphone or PC's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. It's ideal for adding a thumb drive and other USB peripherals, charging a mobile device, and accessing data on a memory card - all at the same time.
The plug-and-play U460-003-3AMB requires no software, drivers or external power. Connect the reversible USB-C plug to your source device's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. The fumble-free USB-C plug connects in either direction to ensure fast, easy connection every time.
Three USB-A ports accept USB peripherals, such as a flash drive, mouse, keyboard or printer, and each provides up to 0.9A for charging smartphones and other mobile devices. All ports support fast USB 3.1 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and are backward compatible with previous USB generations, so you can continue using older peripherals while getting high-speed performance from new devices.

I would buy this if I were you!
Awesome card reader. Compact, yet holds a big punch! I'm clumsy at times and have dropped this thing often....just dropped it now....but it LIVES ON and ON and ON. Great quality and fast! Small enough to carry in your shirt pocket!!! Yessss. I would buy another....oh, wait....I did buy another. I have two and have recommended it to my colleagues. Great for photo and video!!

Tripp Lite --- USB and SD card read/write
What I wonderful tool... with the new computers coming in with limited ports, this was a great way to extend my USB ports and get the SD card read/write capability back on my computer.

I have had my first of these products for some time now and it has served me very well. It is a quality product, which is why I have purchased a second one for my office. I have always had good service from my Tripp-Lite products.

Works nicely with my MacBook Pro
I was looking for a card reader with a USB-C connection, and this Tripp-Lite reader was the best I could find. Its form is compact and it works with both SD and microSD cards. Good design, and reasonable pricing.
