I would buy this product again.
Keeps Cisco switch and PF_Sense router on line during power bumps.
Used at home.
The only downside is the constant fan noise.
Used Tripplite before in enterprise situations and was impressed with their battery life and longevity.

Good product.
I am replacing many UPSs and found the pricing to be very good compared to the other companies. They have only been installed for about 3 weeks. Other Tripp Lite products I have used in the past have functioned great.

Homelab friendly UPS for heavy users, but noisy
Moving from an SMT750RM2U to this Tripp Lite SMART SMART2200RMXL2U. Obviously the big change is the run time. I went from about 8 minutes to 45 minutes for my ~300W load. For my homelab use, this powers my security system, home automation, networking, and NAS.
As a home user, I prefer little to no sound. While I don't hear the fan running under my conditions, there is an electrical buzzing noise that's persistent all the time. Looking at other reviews, this is normal, and the unit performs correctly.
So why would I recommend this as a homelab users?
- Price... $1k for 2200 VA is great value
- Integration... works with NUT without any issues, unlike my old one which requires a Legacy card to work
- Expandability... There's an Anderson SB175 connector on the back for expandability. That's an expensive feature for the other guy (which mine did not have).
What I don't like:
- The noise is unwanted. However, all the other fans from network and server equipment mostly drowns that out.
- The green LCD doesn't read easily from an angle

Worst support. Takes weeks to get a reply.
The product stops working randomly after a few months of use. I understand this can happen but the problem is the support is teribble. It takes many followups and takes weeks to get a reply. A company is as good as their support is. Stay away from Tipp lite. I will never sell this again to my clients.

Quality Product easy to use
After a power failure and loss of communications, I went right to our approved vendor list.
I saw Tripp-Lite listed and knew from past experience they would fill our need.
The installation and user directions were clear.
We installed it in our rack and allowed to charge for 24 hours before making final connections to our equipment.
I really like the display. All needed information is available constantly.

I've used Tripp-Lite product for several years and prefer them over the competition due to their reliability, ease of configuration using the Additional Battery Pack configurator as well as the Local PowerAlter software. We run a public school is a rural location prone to power outages, brown outs, and a 50 year old Generator when we need it. The Strong SMART2200RMXL2U with an additional Battery Pack keeps the District Office running for several hours for WiFi, data network, VOIP and voice switches. The school is not hospital critical, but parents want to be able to reach the D.O. when bad weather, storms or power outages hit. Our main Network Operations Center has been on a Tripp-lite for all servers for several years. Battery change out is straight-forward. Thanks

We would buy these every time
We currently utilize over 25 UPS machines and the entire IT team thinks that Tripplite's Smartpro UPS are absolutely wonderful, they guarantee peace of mind for all of our switches in the case of a power bump. Management software is great, and simple easy to navigate. Tripplite's extended warranty for registration is also a significant bonus for a district our size, knowing that any and all issues we have with these machines will be handled urgently, and with care.

Great customer service is worth buying this product again
This one was a new one because I had to do a RMA on the old one that died on us. It was less than 2 years old... I believe the fan on the front went on it. It was making a loud noise that just seemed to get louder at time went on. It was dust free and always cleaned. I just think the motor on the fan went bad which would cause the temps inside the unit to increase and eventually trip out. We would hit the breaker and the unit would start back up again, but not the fan.
The customer service was fantastic tho!! They sent me an RMA code and sent us a new one within a few days. They even paid for the shipping label which UPS came to pickup. UPS came to pick up the UPS...

Peace-of-mind for long 3D prints
I have two 3D printers and their in-line exhaust fan connected to this UPS. Of course, the UPS is not meant to support the printers for long periods of power outage but, it gives me real peace-of-mind for brief power problems. Having even a short power glitch cause a print failure 20 hours into a 30-hour print can be heartbreaking. This UPS has already caught several power events in just a few days and my prints continued on with no problems.

Product was easy to install with battery pre connected. Instructions for full configuration of ups should be included in the manual. I had to contact support on process for snmp configuration and waiting for response.

Very easy to setup. Super easy to rack and configure.
With the addition of the snmpwebcard setting up my power management was a no brainer.
Hardware support is great as well. Had a small issue with my snmpwebcard upon arrival. One support call later and it was back up and running.

Not a good long term solution
This is the second one I had to purchase. The one before it lasted 3 years and I tried to replace the batteries in it but the LCD would not come back up. I had to replace the whole unit.
