Tripp Lite's SMART1200LCD Line-Interactive Digital UPS System offers voltage regulation, surge suppression and long-lasting battery support for personal computers, network workstations, home entertainment systems and media centers. Internal UPS circuits support entry-level PCs or individual VCR/DVR components during power failures. Prevents data loss, viewing interruptions, lost recordings and loss of component programming. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) circuits regulate brownouts and overvoltages from 75V to 147V back to usable levels without using battery power. Offers complete power protection with support for upright tower, flat shelfmount or 2U rackmount installation in an attractive all-black cabinet design. Includes 8 battery-supported outlets. Built-in USB and DB9 serial ports enable optional unattended system shutdown without data loss in case of extended power failure; cabling included. PowerAlert Software available via free download from www.tripplite.com. HID-compliant USB interface enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Great customer service.
While I enjoy the product received, I have had some issues with batteries needing to be power cycled. I don't think this is the fault of the manufacturer, but I had some stellar customer service from the help desk when I needed to inquire on the nature and solution.

Very good product.
I am using the SmartPro LCD to protect and suppliment the power necessary to ensure my stereo system components are safe along with my plasma TV and Kef subwoofer. The only litem of the UPS that I consider somewhat objectionable is the volume of the cooling fan. It has a 24 db noise floor which I have to increase the volume accordingly. Otherwise, I am very happy with its performance and functionality.

Solid product. Active cooling fan is not silent.
Excellent size for being rack mounted (though it's super heavy, as is expected). My only complaint is that it's relatively noisy (It has an active fan for cooling that is louder than most of the other equipment I have in this rack). I don't expect that in most scenarios that this is a big deal, but it has lead me to adding some small sound-proofing around where it is racked. I wouldn't describe the fan as loud by any means, but in a quiet room it's definitely above whisper volume, and easily detectible.

What a great option for a complex user :)
So far I am completely impressed with the SmartPro LCD 1200 ! Not only is it providing clean power so my network. But I have it connected with my pfSense firewall for monitoring. The UPS is simple to use and easy to set up.

Use in a marine environment for audiovisual electronics ... single unit able to power all component given 8 outlets. Fairly compact for capability and fits well into cabinet (similar footprint). LCD screen provides excellent status of overall 'health' as well as load information. Highly recommend when uninterruptible power required. Also like the ability to change only battery as and when required. Previous unit in this application was not serviceable.

Great for the purposes I use it for.
Great small ups for a few devices. I have a few switches, fan, console pc all running on this. Battery says 1 hour of uptime. This was purchased to mitigate any brown-outs, surges and short blips in power. I was easily able to put this in the rack myself. Would purchase again.

Great for small offices
We are using this device at a remote office location that gets intermittent outages quite frequently. The UPS works perfectly to keep the equipment up and running for power outages that are less than 1 hour and protects from power surges. The UPS is small, and easy to use. I'd recommend this product for a small office that has a wall rack to mount into.
