Tripp Lite's SMART1000RM2U intelligent, line-interactive sine wave rack/tower uninterruptible power supply prevents data loss, downtime and equipment damage due to power outages, voltage fluctuations and transient surges. Requires only two rack spaces (2U) in a standard rack enclosure. Large internal batteries offer 21 minutes half load runtime and 9 minutes at full load. Maintains regulated 120V nominal output without using battery power during brownouts and overvoltages from 83 to 147V. 1,000VA / 700 watt power handling capability and full time sine wave output supports networking, telecom and other sensitive electronic applications. Includes a total of 6 outlets arranged in 2 load banks that are individually controllable via software interface to reboot select equipment on demand or automatically shed less significant loads to extend battery runtime for more critical equipment. Supports simultaneous remote monitoring of UPS and site power conditions via built-in network accessory card slot, USB and DB9 serial monitoring ports. Optional SNMPWEBCARD accessory enables remote monitoring of UPS as a managed device via network management console applications. Communications ports support messaging of detailed UPS operating parameters and line power status. Includes PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software with management support for an unlimited number of network UPS systems. Free PowerAlert enterprise management software is also available for select opportunities. Built-in accessory slot supports SNMP with optional SNMPWEBCARD adapter. Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface offers option for instantaneous power-off of UPS and connected equipment in the case of fire or emergency. Multi-function audible alarms and set of 5 front panel LEDs offer at-a-glance notification of UPS and line power status. Network-grade AC surge suppression protects equipment from damage and performance problems resulting from transient surges and line noise. Attractive all-black color scheme. It was working for many years but then battery started to die one after another. Well it was good device and I liked it performance and a lot of features in built-in web interface. Though improve batteries' lifetime would be nice. Still pretty nice product for it's price.

Good, but easily outgrown.
We use these for small IDFs that usually only have one switch in them. I really like that they have a network card built in, as these small 10-12U racks are usually out in production or up in a high bay ceiling. The indicator LEDs could be larger, with larger icons though, as it would make seeing the status that much easier. Run times are alright for a single non-PoE switch, but we have to replace these when a rack gets fuller or upgraded.

Reliability and Interactive Features are Great!
Really like being able to get information from the unit, as far as load, battery life, run time, etc. Sure is better than having to measure these things yourself, or guessing at it. Have several other SmartPro UPSs and haven't had a problem with any of them.

I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a 1u UPS
This product is used to keep my PC running when we lose power and it works great. It keeps the PC running long enough to be able to close any running programs and safely shut down the PC.

Network Closet in remote office building
We use this product in a network closet in a remote office of ours. Our remote office is a tenant in a large office tower which frequently experiences short 1-2 minute power outages over the weekend. The Tripplite unit keeps our network equipment running reliably.

One of my go to items for an IT closet
With a tight budget, I used three of these in a relay rack for network gear and all of the random stuff that ends up in a IT closet, and three provide a good number of outlets. I have a backup generator on these circuits so I don't need an extended amount of runtime, so these are perfect for the price. I really like the support of the network management card, and will budget to get those next year, as I said, tight budget.

I would buy the product again. Measure twice
Even after I called sales support to confirm that this would fit in a SRW12U13, it would not fit in the bottom space in the rack.
I had to move it up one space to clear the door.
Also there is not enough room to plug in the PDU. I had to purchase a right-angle adapter.
Works well and should protect the equipment hooked up to it.

Perfect for quiet home office/network setup
Bought this to pair with a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro and 4 poe inserters on a board in a home office closet (walk-in with an AC vent). This unit is dead quiet and works perfectly in a small vertical rack.

Quiet and looks nice
Product is very quiet, looks nice, and has room for expansion. Had all of the features I want. Only downside is that I didn't realize how I was going to have to mount this in a two post rack mount. I had to make some unexpected changes but it worked out in the end. I would recommend this product.

A must for seasonal thunderstorms
Our computers went out during a recent thunderstorm & the power outage caused the UPS to beep loudly. It happened on a weekend when the office was closed, but fortunately an employee stopped by & tried to stop the noise. She alerted us, and we called our computer technician who diagnosed the problem and ordered us a new Tripp-Lite. It came within a few days and we are back to normal.

We use these for all of our networking equipment. The monitoring card that you can install is awesome - the proactive monitoring through it, keeps us from having downtime due to a bad battery, which is something that just happens with time, use, and age.
