Rated 5 out of 5 byLan from Would buy this in the futureHad a bad lightening storm last month and lost a bunch of electronics tvs, cable boxes, dvd players, ps4 :( had everything hooked up to one of those normal power surge strips that they sell everywhere... guess they weren't up to the task... found this product and it looks well made, easy to hook up and gives me a little more piece of mind knowing my stuff is better protected then those old school strips. I wound up purchasing 3 of these. Very happy

There is scarcely a piece of electronic equipment, be it a computer or something as mundane as a coffee maker, that isn't protected. I have been impressed by the quality of Tripp-Lite products, by the warrantees they offer and by their customer service.This is one of the smallest, least expensive surge protectors offerred by Tripp-Lite, and one of the least versatile. The HTSWIVEL6 provides twice as many outlets, cable protection and phone line protection in a package that is only slightly larger and slightly more expensive. It is also rated at 1200 rather than 1080 Joules. Both devices can fit behind a cabinet that is set flush against a wall, or behind a flat TV that is mounted on the wall.Where I think the HTSWIVEL6 has its niche is where space is unusually tight, as behind a wall-mounted TV. It has just the right number of outlets to power the TV, a sound bar and perhaps a cable box or streaming device. The coax connectors provide protection from surge from cable or satellite connections or from an atenna. In contrast to other devices, the outlets on the sides are perpendicular to the wall, allowing for some transformers to fit. This setup may be adequate for a bedroom TV, but it doesn't come close to meeting the needs of most home theater setups.
