The Isobar is the best surge protector I've found! After having random equipment failures with competing brands' units, I decided to research the best surge protector I could find.
The Isobar has the lowest clamping voltage I've found (In my opinion, more important than joules for overall protection), great EMI filtering (desktop speakers are SILENT compared to other power strips), and Tripplite's customer support is beyond amazing.
Having insurance for connected products, good diagnostic lights (wiring fault detection and ground detection), and knowing no unprotected power will be passed through (Isobar cuts power once surge MOVs/other components wear out) is great for peace of mind.
I will absolutely buy more Tripplite products, and the Isobar series is by far my favorite. I have a bunch of the "Super 7" strips for travel and use around the house, and they are excellent too. From the blocky, industrial design to the flat plug, it seems there's very little they could do to improve it! Maybe add usb-c charging to the "Isoblok" 2-port wall plug?

I love this product. You get what you pay for. It is built very well and solid. There are no corners cut making this unit. I feel confident that it is properly protecting my expensive music studio electronics gear. I especially like the metal housing; much more sturdy that cheap plastic. These are the Real Deal.
Sturdy Metal boxes that won't catch on fire or melt (like plastic). Trustworthy surge protection w/ a guarantee.
Multiple stages of filtering to isolate your "noisier" electronics (like printers) from the rest of things.
I own several of these, (and some 4-Outlet models, and 2 that also handle phone lines and (coax) cable TV/internet lines as well). Oh, I also have the "wall-hugging" unit for my Microwave oven.

TrippLite surge protector is the best. I have a very old tv Sony for 14 years and had sound problems, image was disappearing, after I connected it into a TrippLite surge protector all these problems dissapeared. I will buy another tv but I do not have to rush. This old tv will last thanks to the TrippLite. Thank you.

Just what I needed in one package
I bought this to protect my laptop, printer, monitor, etc. This unit is just what I was looking for in terms of Joules and clamping voltage. The clamping voltage is 330 which I've seen to be the gold standard. For less than $80 you can't go wrong.

I would buy and recommend this product.
I use this product to protect my home entertainment system containing a cable box, TV, Sound System, DVD player and Video Streaming box. Having one unit like this one is less congestive than having more than one power strip. Also there is good spacing in between the outlets allowing for a few of the large 'head' plugs to fit. It would be even better to have larger spacing between the outlets.

I always wanted this unit, Always used tripp lite protectors, This purchased was an update I have a modem , router and server connected to it. It solid built. Due to severe weather conditions ie: Lightning strike I lost a lot of electronics all were connected to Tripp Lite Protectors . Some equipment made it and some did not. The company backs their products and I will continue to use them. Great JOB!

Tripp-lite ISOBAR 6-Outlet surge protector
After completing my review of potential surge protectors at a reasonable price, it was a no brainer to pick the isobar 6-outlet surge protector. I bought two (2) and use one for my main computer system and the other for my Nakamichi surround sound system. Only time will tell how they handle the next power outages and surges from my power company. The units are constructed well and with the lifetime guarantee, I am confident these units are built well and made to last.

Best surge protector ever!
I was recommended an IsoBar since I had a noise problem on my guitar and bass amplifiers. Noise on the AC line would end up being audible in some circumstances, and that is quite annoying. I'd prefer the audible noise to only be the one I play.
I installed an IsoBar 6 and plugged my amps and effect pedals to it, and all the noise is filtered out! The multiple filter banks works wonder and prevents the noise from propagating to the all the devices connected to the bar, and blocks external noise from reaching the connected devices. The IsoBar allowed me to segregate my audio devices from everything else (which is in itself a step in the right direction), but the IsoBar is doing a lot more magic behind the scene. 42/10, highly recommend.

I would not by any other product but Isobar
I had one of these units but it gave its life to save my computer equipment! There was an issue with the power company and I lost the neutral coming into my home. I had a large power surge in some of the circuits in my home. The surge was energetic enough to fry the Isobar unit but $25k plus of computer equipment and 2 monitors remained safe. I am a fan for life!

I use this item to protect my stereo system (receiver, amplified indoor antenna, CD player, tape deck, turntable, powered subwoofer). How do you assess a product that just sits there silently, not apparently doing anything? It hasn't caught fire, developed a smell or a hum. There's been no damage to other electronic equipment in the home suggestive of a power surge event. Will it work if there's a surge? I hope so. Actually, I hope that I never find out! I bought it on the basis of reputation, reviews, and price.

I own 5 Tripp-Lite Isobar surge protectors in 4, 6, and 8 outlet sizes. They are the best. The surge protection has high capacity (more Joules) than most. The diagnostic LEDs include detection of proper grounding as well as polarity check and protection status. The heavy duty on/off switch is illuminated and includes an overload/short circuit breaker. MOST OF ALL, the case is metal, and the outlets are independently mounted sockets, which means that risk of fire due to faulty appliances or internal circuit failure is greatly reduced. The plug is right-angled, so it allows safer clearance in front of the wall socket. These may cost more than the competitors, but they are worth the price.

Gets the job done
As of this time, what is plugged into it is a:
1. desktop PC
2. LCD monitor
3. CRT monitor
4. coaxial-ethernet adapter
5. PC speakers with built-in amplifier
6. empty (for whatever misc device)
The green LEDs are a bit bright, but my view of them are blocked by my monitor so it doesn't seem to be an issue even at night in a pitch-black dark room using a monitor with good black levels (a CRT in this case) combined with a dark theme on my PC and my monitor brightness at 0 and contrast at 65/100.
I like that the switch is lit and switching it from the on and off position is "crisp" and distinct enough that I can even flip it with my toe without doing the issue I've had in the past with other devices where, when pushing with my toe and not quite doing it "perfectly", it'd cause the switch to kind of "flicker" going on-off-on or off-on-off which can't be good for computer electronics.

Quality products with an excellent warranty.
I had the ISOBAR6 for about a year and half before it failed. No storms or power surges, it just stopped delivering power. I contacted Tripp Lite and they are replacing the unit at no charge.
I've used Tripp Lite products for over 35 years, this is the first time one has failed. This particular unit is used in a recording studio and has worked well.

Past experience helped me decide.
I am familiar with this product being used in an industrial environment to protect sensitive equipment. It worked well, so I chose it to protect my home PC. My power company has difficulty keeping the power on during storms and at other random times. Short outages and flickering power ups are common. Who knows what kind of fluctuations and spikes are being delivered to my outlet. I feel confident it will provide the protection necessary to keep my computer safe from anything coming down the line.

Simple installation. The protection between connected devices is fantastic. I have used there before in my home and commercial facilities. I have never had a power related issue wit anything connected to one of these. This one is protecting a 77" TV and all the related components.

Solid protection for my devices
This surge protector is very sturdy and well made. The layout works nicely for me to place a variety of plug sizes. I bought this because my sister has these and it saved her expensive computer items during some unexpected power outtages during a home remodel. The surge protector absorbed all the shock and was fried, but all her devices were saved. TrippLite has awesome customer service and sent her a replacement quickly without any hassles. I've used TrippLites for years at work and home. In cramped locations, I've used the mounting holes on the back to attach a wood mounting plate that was attached to the wall. Much easier than 2 screws in the mounting holes. I like the air gap formed by the rear mounts, helps keep the electronics cool. Metal enclosure is safer than cheap plastic. Last week I had a cheap plastic non-Tripplite surge protector melt while I was in the room. If I had not been present, would it have started a fire? Probably! Go Tripplite!

Great added insurance for all my electrical gear
I first encountered Tripp Lite many years ago as a crew member shooting a television commercial on location.
I kept noticing that each department cart (camera, sound, video, director, agency, client) had this industrial looking "power strip" which received power from the generator truck and had all the cart's electrical components powered through it. When I asked the sound tech about this setup he explained that given the costs of individual components on any given cart - having a Tripp Lite Surge Protector as the "last sacrificial lamb" before a complete cart meltdown (due to whatever unforeseen event might take place) only made economic sense and Tripp Lite was the best.
Since then all my electrical equipment & systems (kitchen appliances, office, media office, media entertainment, utility provider portal, tool shop, even individual air conditioning units) have always been protected by Tripp Lite products. Wish they would return manufacturing stateside but still find their products of the highest quality.

I'm an electrical engineer, a musician and a gamer. I would not protect any of my gear with anything other than a Tripp Lite surge protector. My house is about a hundred years old. I've used Isobar surge protectors for years to keep gremlins away from my amateur radio equipment -- they've never failed me yet. Now I've found another use foir these great devices. We recently purchased a split-king number bed that has frame-adjustable sleep positions. These beds are relatively expensive and have electronics that are not warranted against surge damage. All documentation included with the system specifically describes the need for surge protection. In my case, enter a known winner -- a Tripp-Lite Isobar unit. While it may be more protection than the manufacturers recommend -- it does allow me to sleep better at night since we live in a state that gets a lot of electrical storm activity during the year that could cause costly repairs without adequate protection.

Slight buzzing noise in load
Works well. There is a slight buzzing noise from the surge protector on load, but I can't hear it from beneath the desk.

Worth the extra cost for reliable protection
We have 2 protecting a modem/router, 2 computers, 2 monitors, a laser printer and an electronic sewing machine that cost more than the computers. Long experience with Tripp-Lite equipment and good reviews from reliable sources influenced our purchase decision.

I would buy this product again to protect my electronics
It is good for protecting your everyday equipment like laptop, desktop, table fans, etc. I like the six outlet protector and the warning lights that tell you if the line is OK or there is a fault with the ground wire. The customer service is excellent, if there is anything wrong with the product.

Living in an area which is prone to power surges. I needed a quality surge protector for a new gaming PC. Now the PC as well as all the peripherals are protected. The Best of the Best Chicago Company
This is my 4th Tripp Lite product this year alone. I have been using Tripp Lite products for over 25 years. Now retired and redoing my Stereo and Tv set up I again went with Tripp Lite. Quality is the key here and Tripp Lite has always done a great job. Thousands of dollars worth of vintage and new stereo equipment is now protected with Tripp Lite. I don't have time to mess around with lower quality surge protection which are way overpriced. Having been in the Consumer Electronics field for 40+ years I don't settle for less.

Feels like a beast
So far it's working great. We used to get some occasional line interference. This seems to hellp noticeably, at least for now. It it is hidden behind a cabinet, so thank you for the long cord to get it there.
