This heavy-duty USB sync/charge cable (M/M) connects your iPhone, iPad or iPod to the USB-A port on a computer, car charger or wall charger. It allows you to charge and power your Apple device, while simultaneously synching and transferring data at USB 2.0 data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps. The cable is backward compatible with previous USB generations, allowing you to use it with older equipment.
Charging cables used with mobile devices are often pulled, strained and generally abused, sometimes to the point of failure. To counter the stress of daily abuse, the super-robust M100-010-GY-MAX is constructed using UHMWPE and Aramid fiber to reinforce the conductors inside the cable. The double-braided nylon jacket helps maintain top performance and long life, while the enhanced UHMWPE and Aramid protection stands up to the strain of rigorous and frequent use. Integral strain relief gives the cable extra flexibility, reduces stress, and helps the cable move freely without cracking or breaking loose from the connector.
The 5V 2.4A (12W) Lightning cable is MFi-certified for use with the latest generation of iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. Strongest & Fastest HD Lightning Cable I've Owned
I now have two of these cables, one of them for several months. My wife has been good at destroying lightning cables very quickly, but not this one, at least not yet. Pick this cable over the other TrippLite heavy duty cable with the black and white jacket (M100-010-HD). That cable lasted for 18 months, a good run with my wife's rough use, but the jacket failed at the strain relief. The jacket on this cable appears to be more durable, maybe that's why it costs a few dollars more. I did try the Nomad heavy-duty cable, but my wife made short work of that one -- it lasted 3 days after which the metal Lightning plug came loose in the molding. She should be a UL tester. One important thing to note about TrippLite's heavy-duty cables is that the power wires inside the cable assembly are 19 gauge, the largest I've seen in a Lightning-USB A cable. This means significantly faster charging as compared to competitor cables, most of which have 22-26 gauge power wires. This makes a huge difference with long cables like this one. Only Nomad comes close, with 20 gauge power wires. There's a 2-year warranty on this cable and TrippLite has outstanding technical, customer & warranty service. I've been a customer for 24 years and they back their products. I even have a UPS system that still runs after 24 years. A truly great company. I hope the new owner doesn't mess it up.

Excellent service after the purchase!
I'm a professional musician and know the importance of quality cables and connectors. Using Tripp Lite was a no brainer. I purchased a pair of 10 foot Heavy-Duty USB A to LightningSync/Charge cables to power an iPad and an iPhone. But to my surprise, one of my cables failed to perform during a show about 5 months before the warranty was to expire. I contacted Tripp Lite and they IMMEDIATELY took the best care of me and remedied my plight! I understand sometimes things fail to perform as designed. But it's the support of a company that makes or breaks a relationship with its customers.
