The P130-06N-DP-V2 HDMI to DisplayPort Active Converter 4K (M/F) connects an HDMI audio/video source, such as a computer or Blu-ray player, to a 4K-enabled DisplayPort monitor or projector. With a male HDMI input and female DisplayPort output, this converter lets you use your existing DisplayPort display and saves you time, money and effort of upgrading to a new HDMI display. It also connects DVI or mini-DVI sources to a DisplayPort monitor using adapter cables, such as Tripp Lite's P566-Series DVI to HDMI cables (sold separately).
Ideal for home theater setups, digital signage, trade show presentations and classroom lectures, the HDMI to DisplayPort adapter supports video resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 30 Hz. It also supports 7.1-channel surround sound, and is compliant with HDCP 1.3 and DisplayPort 1.2a. It transmits EDID information to ensure optimal display compatibility.
This 15.24 cm cable is plug-and-play with no software or drivers needed. If more power is required, connect the unit's built-in USB-A plug to a USB source. Corrosion-resistant gold-plated connectors and contacts provide maximum conductivity and minimize data loss. Integral strain relief gives the cable extra flexibility, reduces stress, and helps the cable and connectors move freely without cracking.

This product is immeasurable
We have new smartboards at our school this year I teach high school English, this connects to our new laptops and our smaller smartboards. I am teaching the students to be part of the 21st century not ever looking backward again we are completely online in person and this helps connect everything together. Thank you so much

Recommemd and Would Purchase Again!
Works very well...packaging, documentation are first class. It was easy to register the product. I use it to connect my Acer Monitor to my Laptop. It provides a very clear display and frees up my HDMI cable for other uses.

Perfect solution
With this converter, I was able to connect my older Dell monitor to my new HP laptop in about 2 seconds! It saved me from having to purchase a new monitor and makes working at my desk so much easier. My new laptop did not have a display port and the other converters I found were display port to HDMI--I needed HDMI TO display port. And its still easy to take my laptop with me.

Easy installation
This product is working as intended. I do get a lag, on the monitor that is using this adapter, starting up coming out of sleep mode.
