Excellent surge protector
I selected this surge protector after quite a bit of research. It has a very high absorption of over 3000 joules, and it has a very good warranty if a surge does happen. It also has a light that indicates when the protection is OK versus when it has taken a surge (all protectors of this type are sacrificial in that they are rendered unusable when they absorb a surge). Four of the outlets are widely spaced so one can plug in a power adapter. While I won't know for sure until a surge comes along, the unit seems very well made. I found it very convenient for my application. I actually purchased multiple units to use with my different office equipment and televisions. Recommended.

Yes, I have bought this product again and again (three times actually). I am a retired Telecomm technician
from the Bell System, and we used Tripp-Lite only. My company always bought the best. I an now using my three units to protect my computer system, and two new Full-HD TV's, and all of the associated units.
Tripp-Lite has the best Warranty service of ANY company I have ever conducted business with.

Fantastic product, ordering additional protectors.
This was a replacement for another product. I am very pleased with this surge protector power strip. Durable construction, not bulky, sufficient outlets. I especially like the length of the cord. I have several electrical devices and 47 inch TV plugged in.
In my opinion, Tripp Lite's warranty and quality of this product is great.

Great product and excellent coverage
After a recent lightning storm many of my electronics was taken out. Of course I was using cheaper surge strips and learned my lesson. Replaced with this model in my house due to great reviews and warranty coverage.

I have the unit set up in my home office. Florida, the lightning capital, is a test for any surge protector.
So far nothing has fazed this protector. Good size, plenty of easy access outlets. Warning lights plainly visible. What more could one ask?

Best bang for the buck!
2 things really stand out about this surge protector,
1) the price was lower compared to units that had less features and
2) most important to me, was the fact that it will not allow you to use it if the protection is gone. That means a lot to me and that's the main reason I bought this.
If I have a problem with something I want to know about it asap, not when its too late to react. If this goes belly up for what ever reason including a power surge, I wan to be able to replace it and provide protection for my electronics instead of having my head in the sand and "hoping everything is okay".
I live in Florida and lighting storms this time of year are a fact of life. I want to know that I'm protected and when I'm not. That's why I bought this and so should you.

Works exactly as it's supposed to. The best part about this surge protector is it stops providing power when it is no longer providing surge protection. My last surge protector didn't have this feature and I lost a plasma tv because of it.

This is what I use to PROTECT my Computer
Having been in electronics for over 45 years, I know how important it is to keep the lighting serge away from my electronics. I live in Florida and have seen the lighting hit so close there was NO delay between the light flash and the thunder. I have used Tripp Lite for many years (I forgot when the 1st one was purchased) and yes I've had to get one replaced. I don't leave my computer turned on when not in use, and I turn the tripp lite off. The problem I had was that the power switch was turned on and off so many times it, I could hear a repeating spark. This was replaced with no problems!!

Saved all our office equipment
This is our second purchase. We took a direct hit from a lightening strike. The tripp lite surge protector saved two computers, a fax machine, and a phone system. We had to replace the tripp lite as the strike ruined the phone ports. That is a small price to pay for saving all the other office equipment and the headaches and time that goes with replacement. Everything that was not attached to a tripp lite ie: credit card terminal, lights, clocks were "fried" .

So Far So Good
During spring and summer we have many power outages. I usually unplug everything when I hear thunder and see lightning. Annoying, especially in the wee hours of the night. When traveling I have to unplug all my devices, just in case. Now I if I forget, (which happens occasionally), I can hopefully rest easy.
Product is ease to set up. Plenty of room for all my devices. Solidly built.

I have purchased Tripp Lite products before and have been impressed with the protection provided. My equipment has survived a couple of lighting strikes thanks to prior products, so I have full confidence in this product. I like the lifetime warranty that says a lot about the company and the product.

Just what I needed
I live in Florida the lightning capital of the world. I live on 7 acres surrounded by tall pine trees. It seems like lightning strikes close by at least once a month. I got a few of these after a lightning strike burned out my 90 inch tv and receiver. After several very close lightning strikes that I know of all of my equipment is still protected.

After reading a lot of reviews - including many by those who had to test the protection offered - I decided on the Tripp Lite product. So far, I'm impressed. The power cord is long enough so that it's easy to place where I want it, and the actual outlets are spaced so that they're functional. I haven't had to test it against a major surge yet, and I hope things stay that way, but the warranty offers me some peace of mind.

Has plenty of spaces for the power supply's to plug in most strips hav only enough outlet spacing for corse which are getting scarce in the computer world.
Good suppression especially in the shop environment where there is a lot of electrical noise.

good choice for multimedia center
Got this for multimedia components - TV, DVD player, set-top box, coaxial antenna, etc. Works great, plenty of room for the wall-warts, nice that it can be mounted vertically on the wall. While I hope I won't need to access customer service, reading all the reviews saying that Tripp Lite's customer service was way better than the competition sealed the deal.

Promise of Real Protection
After updating most of the components in my home theater it occurred to me that my surge protector was the oldest piece of kit left, dating back to 2001.
I did a bit of research and discovered that most consumer level products don't do anything to let you know when they can't protect your stuff any more. This TrippLite stops passing current when it can no longer insulate the equipment from a power spike, I love it! Thanks TrippLite.

I will buy this product whenever I need on with many plugs.
I use it for computer and audio products. It's great because the plug holes are not next to each other so you can put larger plugs side-by-side on the surge protector. Not to mention the four farther distanced outlets at the end handle even larger sized electrical plugs. I Definitely recommend this surge protector to everyone.

An Easy Choice with 3345 Joules Protection
I realize the total number of Joules that a surge protector is rated for is not the be-all and end-all, but I'm also sure it helps. A lot of what I see in the local stores for the same price and more are about 450 Joules of protection.
The biggest factor for me was that it shuts down if it takes a major hit protecting whatever is attached to it. That's a bigger deal for me than all these insurance guarantees.
