Tripp Lite's ultra small 7-port USB 2.0 hub is the most versatile and powerful hub on the market. It allows you to connect up to seven USB devices to a single USB port on your computer. This unit meets or exceeds USB 2.0 Specifications for Hi-Speed data transmission rates up to 480Mbps. Perfect for both the mobile and desktop user. While the hub will function perfectly in virtually all cases without needing external power, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter (110/220V) has been provided for the rare circumstance when connecting a power hungry device. This USB 2.0 device is backwards compatible so that it will function with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Over-current protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages. Includes stand for upright positioning.

My old extender hub was not powered and made the connection very slow. This takes care of the problem. Now I have room for headphones, a wireless keyboard and mouse and flash drives that I move from home to office with no interruption to my workflow. A great addition to the office. No problem to set up either, just plug and and the computer found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase another in a second. This is a very nice hub. I plugged it in, added my peripherals and everything was up and running. I only wish it had a bit more weight to its base so it would stay put on my desktop a little better. Not really a problem though. I really like the five ports out the back side. I don't need to see them as they are full of my equipment. Having two facing forward allows me to easily plug in a flash drive or another seldom used peripheral. I like this hub, and would purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from usb hub ok I'm not techie. I wanted extra usb ports so instead of popping off the cover you just plug in this device and instant ports. The only issue I found is I can't find the devices that are connected through this device. And I blame it to be my un-techieness

Now, I am the proud owner of this 7-port USB connector and it is great. It comes with all the necessary wires and is very easy to install. I'm no techie, so I was relieved that it was so easy to use. I was up and running in no time at all. It took me longer to get it out of the packaging than it did to install it on my laptop and plug in all my devices with room to spare. Yeah!! I am so glad to have this "Nifty Gizmo" from TrippLite.com.

(although I do occasionally get errors from it) It is very lightweight, and is frequently pilled onto the floor from the weight of the cables....or it just tips over. The plugs are very close together, which is an issue card-reader devices and overly fat thumb drives. Strongly recommend mounting this thing to your table. A new version that is heavier and has more mounting options would be nice (so would making it metal) Overall, a good device, just a little clumsy to use.

What I like about this one is the style: Its vertical and the cables fall inline one behind the other. Most of the ones I've had took up too much space and spread the cables in all kinds of directions.

I was surprised just how small the footprint of this really was....it looked larger in the picture. I took it out of the box, plugged in the ac adapter and then into my computer and away we went. I was able to plug in printer, scanner, and 2 backup hdd's as well as well as charge my iPhone. Fantastic!!!! It doesn't get any easier than that unless tripp lite sends a techie to plug it in for me!!! Thank you.

I tried a passive hub that I was not using and it could only support 2 peripherals at a time. This device supports all peripherals without any problem. It does the job and takes up very little desk space.

When I did a search for best Hubs it came back as highest rated due to it's durability and that's what I want, something that will last a long time. It also couldn't have been simpler to set up. I wish all devices were this well thought out. Count me a Tripp Lite fan!

What I particularly liked about this one was that the hub could be placed on a stand. It takes less space on my desk, which is a premium. Very easy to use, just plug it in and go.

I since got another computer but still find this very usable since it is a laptop so i can keep all my connections set when i pull my computer off the docking station. I ended up getting another one as a gift for someone. It is also easy to make and take off connections like memory sticks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hub is Good but Packaging is a Nightmare While I appreciate how the packaging keeps the unit from being damaged during shipping, it was one of those, here we go moments that did end in a cut on my finger from the plastic packaging. I was careful. Very careful but pulling the device out of that final nesting place was difficult with the rigid plastic. I love that Tripp-Lite is a Chicago company. It is difficult to find something made from American manufacturing time from time.
