The Robotis® Premium is an educational bioloid kit based on modular DC servos. Students can build 29 robots with enhanced mobility, from a 1-DOF bot to an 18-DOF humanoid. The Robotis bioloid kit includes assembly tools and the RoboPlus GUI-based programming software. There is a gyro sensor, an IR sensor and a distance measurement sensor for the movements of the bots, as well as a remote controller and a Bluetooth® module. Digital packet communication with a daisy-chain topology makes cabling easy.
The educational robotic kit includes the high-performance CM-530 controller, which features an ARM processor. The controller has five DYNAMIXEL (TTL) connectors, six external ports, one communication port and a built-in microphone and buzzer. It works with a LiPo battery and a DC jack and automatically checks the status of the battery. The RoboPlus Task app allows students to program their robots with a C-language-style icon-based method, while the RoboPlus Motion app is an inverse kinematics engine.
