TDK CD-RW discs are rewritable media that allow users to overwrite data directly and repeatedly, and are playable on all CD-ROM drives equipped with MultiRead functionality. They feature a storage capacity of up to 650MB (74 minutes) of high-quality digital audio recording time. TDK CD-RW discs comply fully with Orange Book Part III specifications.
TDK CD-RW discs utilize an exceptionally stable phase-change recording material to allow numerous rewrites and long archival life. Phase-change recording uses a laser to change the reflectivity of discrete areas on a disc surface. The recorded marks differ in their reflectivity from the unrecorded areas of the CD-RW disc. These differences in reflectivity are read by a laser pickup as digital data.
Note: 10X High Speed CD-RW media should only be used with a high speed compatible drive.
