Awesome for My Work-From-Home Setup!
The DV4K is a perfect solution for my work-from-home workstation setup. As most people have experienced this year, I need to have a workstation at home where I can be just as productive with my laptop as if I were in the office. This docking station helps me do just that! At my workstation, I've got dual 4K monitors, a keyboard, mouse, and external SSD all hooked up and this docking station connects it all together like a champ!
I love the convenience of plugging in a single USB-C connector to my laptop to transform it into a full desktop setup. It's super easy to connect and disconnect when I want to take my laptop to the couch or back porch. The 100W charging capability is more than enough for my laptop and it charges the battery about as quickly as its dedicated power adapter.
In addition, the 4 USB 3.0 ports are great! I like to keep a 1TB SSD drive in an external enclosure connected to the docking station for quick backups. I get great throughput and have not noticed any slowdown when copying files compared to having the drive directly connected to my laptop. I also love the built-in gigabit ethernet port: My ultraportable laptop has Wi-Fi only, but the port on the dock is great to get extra throughput and reliability when I'm at my workstation.
Overall, I'm very happy with this dock. It's a big upgrade to my work-from-home setup and it helps make staying productive at home easier.

Good, but occasional phases out.
Seems to be pretty good. Except occasionally, it seems to fail (monitors blink and go blank). Unplugging the device for a couple minutes seems to solve the issue. Is it overheating ??

Very bad product - only supports 1 - 2 resolutions
Supports low and high resolutions only - this is not a useful product when it comes to M1 whatsoever

This thing is powerful! I got the ultimate hookup. My little computer lab is all connected to this device and works perfectly. Its small and doesn't take up a lot of room and thats a big plus for me. Thank you

Plug and Play Easy to setup and Works
I been working on this docking station for over a year, it was easy to set up (dual monitors and it has never given me any problems - still works great!

Poor Linux support
I bought this dock in order to extend the functionality of my laptop and use it as a workstation. While initially it worked well enough, driver support for Linux is so far lacking that it is essentially a useless product at this point. More so if you're running an AMD/NVIDIA combo, where external displays must be driven by the dGPU. Every kernel update seems to break the functionality of DisplayLink, and it takes them several weeks to produce a semi-functional fix for their user base. An update from 5.12 to 5.13 has rendered this device unusable for external displays. While on 5.12, I was able to drive an external display, but removing the dock would cause the computer to hard lock. The last time I had any stability was roughly 5.10, with mesa <21. For the time being, this is an extremely overpriced USB hub as far as my use case is concerned.

Powering laptop
All is working, except power button to power laptop when lid is closed, i cant find any way to make this work and manuals are useless concerning this problem. I have had HP dock and there was big power button on top of the dock and worked well.
With this dock it seems, that i have to every time open my laptopt and power it from laptop power button...not good.

Only dock I've found that both works, and charges an HP 360 Spectre 15
I've been searching for several years for a dock that works. None of the docks offered by HP will provide multiple display support and charge the Spectre 15, because it requires 90w of charging power delivered through the USB-C port. This unit works, and works flawlessly. Thank you Targus!!!

This was a replacement. I had movers that stole my universal adapter cord and the lap top power cord. I had to buy the entire set up since the USB adapter cord was not sold separately. This docking station works great!

Another great product by Targus!
So I can say this does exactly what it’s supposed to! It is sturdy and light-weight. I was pleased by the look of it. It came with a usb c connector, and a converter in case your computer doesn’t have a usb c. It also comes with a bunch of computer power adapters to fit most computers, which is awesome! I first used it for my pc to two monitors and it worked great. Then I tried it with my laptop, and again worked flawlessly. There’s a tiny light to let you know if it’s on or off, which I like. I had no problem setting it up, everything was simple. Overall I’m very happy with it. It makes my work much easier!

Powerful Docking Station
This 100W Power Docking Station does exactly what I need it to do. I used it for my two monitors that I have been trying to connect for a while. The instructions are very informative and couldn't be any simpler to set up.

Decent Docking Station
Recently got this item. The set up took a little longer than anticipated because the instructions were not that clear. It tells you to download a driver, but does not show you exactly where on their website to find the driver installation. I have Mac and after I installed the drive I had to just reboot it and was then able to use the docking features. After that it works as expected and I was able to extend my desktop and utilize the USB ports.

Super Great Features!
I love it! It's not to big and bulky and has every plug that we needed in our home. We have quite a few different devices that we plugged in and this has definitely got the power to handle them all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Good but older generation ports
Works great with 2 screens but wish it had the newest usb ports. This is the weakest link in my set up since my computer has USB-C 4.0 Gen 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 Ports.

Convenient and Compact Size
I like the way this Targus USB-C universal DV4K docking station makes it easy to connect two monitors to my laptop, because it's handy to have extra monitors when I'm working. I also like that it connects to my smartphone and powers my laptop and phone. It's small size makes it handy, too, because it doesn't take up a lot of space on my desktop.

Saves the day.
Since I have been working from home, I have wanted to keep my laptop connected to my monitor and keep it charging also. Now I have an easy to use docking station with 100 watts of power! My USB-C connects easily to the HDMI port and charges my laptop while I am working, all from one box. It doesn't get any easier or clearer than this. There are other features that I have not used yet, but now I look forward to finding a use for it. This definitely cleared up my work station and got it less cluttered. Thank you
