The Targus® Sustainable Energy Harvesting EcoSmart™ Keyboard combines Bluetooth® and advanced solar technologies with post-consumer recycled materials in an eco-friendly, full-size keyboard. Manufactured from up to 85% recycled material and infused with antimicrobial protection, this keyboard helps to prevent the growth of microorganisms, while helping to protect the environment - even its packaging is recycled. It's primarily powered by solar cells optimized to harvest light from a variety of light conditions (including indoor lighting) and connects to up to 3 devices using Bluetooth® SoC, which means its extremely low-power capabilities makes it 3 to 4 times more power-efficient than other Bluetooth keyboards. And, this keyboard features Targus DefenseGuard™ Antimicrobial Protection. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An interesting little piece of technology I purchased this keyboard and mouse a few months back and I am loving it so far. I have had a few issues with the keyboard and mouse malfunctioning but I find it can be resolved with a quick restart (things like the mouse automatically opening new tabs when I click something and the keys acting like shortcuts instead of letters). I have also noticed a significantly annoying delay in typing response but I enjoy the keyboard nonetheless. If you're debating purchasing, I recommend it but definitely get the warranty insurance.

It looks sleek and I love the "recycled" design look in the color of the keyboard. It really was so easy to hook up and change from one computer to my ipad by the touch of a button.

The only reason this lost a star was because of the price. I personally couldn’t bring myself to spend this kind of cash on a keyboard. If you are super into tech and the money isn’t an issue, I’d highly recommend!!

The sustainability factor is a pretty cool unexpected feature as well. I do find that it will disconnect itself now and then which can be annoying but it’s easy to connect again. The keyboard itself is easy to type on and works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great This keyboard was easy to setup and works great. It is a heavier one though. It charges through USB-C which is good. A full charge on it last a good amount of time. Definitely recommend trying it if you like wireless Bluetooth keyboards.

The keyboard is a little heavy as all solar things tend to be but I was able to use my tablet for a day and still going. The bluetooth connected easily and the keys are nice to the touch - a little tight but not where I have to press hard. My only con is that I wish it was smaller. This defintely a FULL SIZE keyboard! Bigger than my laptop keyboard. I'm going to attach it to my phone when the board dies out! I love that it is ecofriendly and that everything is recycled. Makes me feel like I am doing my part. Overall, this is great keyboard and I will be looking into other Targus products to share with my family.

It’s super Iightweight and easy to use. It harvests power from indoor lighting. It’s a full size keyboard with long charge life. It is compatible with most computers. It’s comfortable to use as well. You can take it anywhere from home to office and on the go. It truly is an amazing piece of technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Input lag I was disappointed when I tested out this keyboard and had trouble getting it to connect to Bluetooth and also it has input lag as well. If I don’t type on the keyboard for a few minutes it lags up a bit when I start trying to type something. The feel and quality is nice however and like how it’s backlit as well and solar powered. Just so sad with the input lag I wouldn’t recommend if you type a lot or game but maybe just for casual browsing.

The keyboard combines sustainable solar power with bluetooth, embracing technology as a much needed tool at our disposal. I like the antimicrobial coating because let's face it, we use our keyboards a lot and they are exposed to a lot of germs. The keyboard was plug and play and it is easy to use. A USB-C cable, compatible with the keyboard, is also included. The keyboard has weight to it and it looks very durable. The keys are responsive and I like the backlighting options. The bluetooth can link up to three devices while maintaining its low output which is pretty awesome. This is a great keyboard to have if you prefer a more sustainable option, prefer a wireless keyboard or are looking for a full size keyboard to connect to your devices. I highly recommend this keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Got this a little over a week ago and it’s a nice keyboard. Charges easy the first time and seems hasn’t needed to be plugged in an again. It’s in my office so hopefully the sunlight that comes in will keep it charged! Easy to pair as well. It takes a few seconds to connect when not used overnight, but it Ms good to go after. The only thing I don’t like is that the lights for the caps lock and number lock are not turning on. I’m sure there is a way to do it, but it is not in the instructions that came with the keyboard. Also spent a little time trying to lookup online l, but no luck.

It stays connected with no problems, and I love that it’s sleek and slim. There is a solar panel strip at the top that helps charge it. It is pretty heavy, but that doesn’t bother me because I don’t carry it around. Great product!

The solar bar on the top is gives it a unique look and the length of the board makes it comfortable to type on because my hands aren't so close to each other. The back light is a really nice touch. I love to use it all the time. I like that theres more than one way to use it in case you can't use the sun, like with a cord or Bluetooth. Its perfect, I love it so much and I'm going to use it for my freelance work!!

My household is a split household so it works great for that. You can also have three different levels of brightness on the keyboard so the keys can have backlighting or not, up to you, and it's super easy to change. It comes with a "quick access" manual on all the easy ways around the keyboard and it works so well. Love it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a backlit wireless keyboard I like! This full-sized keyboard is the nicest of the wireless type I have ever tried. The keys have a light, quiet touch and short-travel switches, not unlike those on a laptop. I especially like the adjustable backlighting. I have my one computer connected to a TV set, and it is nice to be able to see the keys when needed, but have the backlight turn off automatically when I start watching a video. There's a bank of solar cells near the function key row that easily recharges the built-in battery during the day, and I have yet to need to charge it with the provided cable. One feature that I hadn't expected was the ability to pair with up to three devices, which lets me use it with my phone or tablet as well. I have had several other Targus products over the years and this is yet another great one.
