It is child proof in the sense that whether they drop the case or not, the tablet is cushioned from the fall. Fits nicely for my iPad Pro 10.5 inch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for my iPad This is an updated version is of the one I am replacing except this one has the magnetic closure whereas the older version had an elastic band to hold the top flap in place. Truthfully, the elastic was felt more secure. The magnet that the newer one has is not very strong and slides around easily. I am not sure it would remain in place if dropped. I still like it but preferred the older version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed The iPad case is supposed to fit my 7th Generation iPad, but one of the corners presses down on the sound button. I had to cut away part of the one corner. My previous iPad case was excellent, so I bought the new one from Targus. This new one is extremely disappointing- hopefully my fix works, if not, I will have to toss it and get another brand
