Made from recyclable materials on the inside and out. Using fabric woven from recycled water bottles, 26 to be exact, the 15.6" Cypress Hero Backpack with EcoSmart® is thoughtfully designed to protect your work essentials while also protecting the environment.

Built to fit 15.6" laptops, this EcoSmart bag features a dedicated padded compartment to cradle your laptop, plus boasts a large main compartment, a secondary compartment with a workstation, and a convenient front quick-stash pocket to provide you enough room for your everyday essentials.

Its smart design also features adjustable, ergonomic shoulder straps and a padded back panel to ensure a comfortable fit, as well as a pass-through trolley strap for easy transport on luggage.

The Bottle Reborn

This bag was designed with the environment in mind. By using GRS-certified recycled materials, 26 plastic bottles were kept out of our waterways and landfills, shredded into small flakes, re-polymerized into plastic chips, and heated and spun into yarn that was stitched, and sewn into the fabric of this EcoSmart bag.

Decided to go with Targus because it looked good/well built, had good storage space/pockets, and was about $100 less than the other packs.

I still use it every day. I've looked for nicer bags, but I haven't found one. It's just the right size, has pockets in exactly the right places you need them to be, and looks really nice. I've worn it down a lot, but I will probably just buy another one when it expires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stiff but good this is a great back pack structurally and pocket-quantity wise, but it is VERY stiff. if I try to take something out of it by swinging it around my body, it doesn’t work. I always have to take it fully off, which is a little annoying when all I’m trying to do is pay for a coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great commuter bag, too cumbersome I was given this backpack and it's a great option for someone who wants a LOT of padding and lots of space for folders/notebooks/etc. The quick-access pocket in the front is handy and while I don't use all the internal organization, it's appreciated. The padding on the back and straps is also quite sufficient. I can see how this would be an ideal commuter bag for lots of people. Unfortunately for me, the pack itself is relatively heavy and stiff and I find it to be rather cumbersome (fwiw I'm a 5'7", somewhat petite person). This pack has three compartments (laptop, main, front) and I could do with just the front and one combined main/laptop compartment - if you made a "slim" version, that would be my ideal. I also have back issues and this pack did well for that in terms of it's design and shape, but the heft was too much in addition to the laptop/etc. I need to carry.
