Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work to 230' (70m) I ran two shielded CAT6a cables and terminated to shielded RJ-45 ends to feed two 1080p projectors. One was around 110' the other was 180' by footage markers on cable. The longer cable run would not synchronize between the transmitter and receiver. The near end would show solid blue, the far end would flash slow then every so often flash 3 times fast. I went back through the longer cable and removed all my service loops to get it down to 168' and still was unable to synchronize the ends. I ended up having to daisy chain from the working one projector to the next projector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it It works great when directly connected to the HDMI source I want to send though it. The only thing I would change about it would be to add multiple HDMI inputs. I tried using this with an HDMI 4 to 1 switch box and it didn't pick up the switcher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally up and running After quite a bit of troubleshooting I finally got this working for a lengthy 50m run. To Johnb5001 and anyone else having issues, it is highly likely down to using RJ45 ends on single core cat5/6 cable. StarTech should have a sticky on this as it comes up on a lot of boards. Industry best practice is to use keystone termination on long runs of solid core cable, and then factory-made patch cables to devices. The plastic rj45 ends are notorious for dodgy cabling. As soon as I switched to keystone adapters this fired up beautifully
