Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very few on the market This USB-C KVM works exactly as expected, with only a short delay between switching. Startech has been quite helpful before and after purchasing, as I was trying to find both a USB-C KVM switch, and information on whether using a regular USB-A switch into the KVM would work. They said it probably would, but it hasnt been tested so no guarantees. It works beautifully! I needed a 3rd PC hooked up to the keyboard and mouse, and just used the monitor to switch between inputs. WARNING: be sure to check your specific computers have the capability of using USB-C for video (Alt-DP, Mini-DP, or Thunderbolt), as the specific generation laptop I have (HP EliteBook 840 G4), the USB-C is for data-transfer ONLY, whereas a co-worker of mine has a newer generation (HP EliteBook 840 G6) that does have USB-C video out capability. This will be invaluable as USB-C becomes ever more prevalent for all connections, reducing the number of cables needed significantly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swithes, but with caviats I purchased this to replace a messy HDMI based KVM. It works... ok. The big problem I found was that it doesn't always "switch" between two macs (13" macbook pro's, different generations). It forces me to unplug and plug the cable of the currently active one to get the monitor detected. Once switched, it works perfectly. I tried making sure that both laptops are on when switching, but whatever I try the monitor says "no signal" and I have to re-plug the cable to get it going, which defeats the purpose: I could plug cables easily without a KVM. I don't know if it's the power issue, as it doesn't have a dedicated power source, but I've noticed that about 1 in 5 times when both laptops are on--it works, but if the one I'm switching to is in sleep, it will not connect. Ever. I'm using a relatively recent Dell 4k monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from almost I have 4 newer laptops with USB C 3.1 ; and a docking station with all my monitors and peripherals plugged into, it also has a USB C Thunderbot port. .. . . i just need a switch to go between these .... like a 4 USB C 3.1 inputs, and a single USB C 3.1 or higher output (that would connect to the docking station) ....
