10 Gb/s raid 3.1 external enclosure
This one is the best because it has usb 3.1 type B connector, the 3.1 type A is too fragile even if you never move it. 10Gb/s is the only way to go if you're using SSDs. I use these with some 3.5 -> 2.5 converters for SSD. Own 5 for over 2 years, never an issue.

RAID1 working
If you want to set RAID1 configuration.
1. Set switch (1-off, 2-on)
2. push RAID reset switch over 10 seconds.(This tact push switch is near by set switch)
You don't need to wait so long time.
Performance is fine depending on disk R/W speed.

RAID1 is not working
Got is brand new from Amazon.
Installed 2x4Gb Seagate ironwolf to use as RAID1.
Setup switch 1 to OFF and switch 2 to ON, however, it shows two independent drives instead of one mirrored.
Tried to test RAID0 - Switches ON/OFF and it shows as one 8 Gb disk - it works.
Tried to test SPAN - Switches ON/ON and it also shows one 8 Gb disk - it works.
Tried to test JBOD/PM - Switches OFF/OFF and it shows two independent disk
Tried to test RAID1 - Switches OFF/ON and it shows as two independent disks - not working as advertised.
