Fits perfectly
I purchased this hard shell for my new Mac book Air M2. Fits perfectly. Does not make it bulky either still keeping it nice and slim. I only wish the Apple logo was more visible to give it the Apple look which we have all come to love. Only complaint is there are 2-3 different spots where the plastic is sharp and not smooth along the edges making it obvious there was an issue during fabrication. All in all I would highly recommend this product for the price.

Cornes cracked, but I did not even drop it
I got this case about 3 months ago. When I first put it on, I noticed that it was VERY tight on my MacBook. It was a bit difficult to even get the case on and required some elbow grease. Over the last couple months I've noticed cracks develop at every corner of the top shell and I have NEVER dropped my laptop. Today I was running my hands along the side and several chunks of the case broke off from me barely touching it. Giving two stars because I do like the the color and texture and that there aren't tabs that secure the laptop by the trackpad where my hands sit which is the reason I bought this specific case.

Spec comes through again! I only buy a new Mac Book every 10 years and so spec was my choice as the one I bought 10 years ago was still in beautiful shape! Thanks Spec*! The new cover is fab and fits and stays on - no issues!

Amazing cover for my MacBook Air
I have bought a few covers for my laptop and none of them have lasted, they have been cheaper but quality costs a bit more. This cover is good looking and protects my computer completely, would def buy again.

This case warped my computer screen
DO NOT BUY THIS CASE. I used this hard shell case for about a week with my new computer (Macbook Air 2022), and it bent my computer screen. It raised the outside edges up above the middle. When I took the case off, the computer screen returned to semi-normal, but it is still bent on the edges.
Customer service wouldn't acknowledge the damage it did, and has asked me to return the product and pay for my own postage. On a case that damaged my brand new computer!

Love the look and feel of this case. It has a nice texture and gives a little grip. I feel like my mac is well protected and I'm less likely to drop it, which if you knew me is a huge possibility with my butter fingers (-:

Fits great — ensures my MacBook Air is gonna look great
Long time Speck customer - first time reviewer. The look tone and feel of my Obsidian case matches my MacBook Air completely. Experiencing minor issues getting the MacBook to zip up inside a padded carrier - the front corners et caught on zippers. So, when I choose not to use the padded carrier, I'm ready to go quickly. The the padded carrier, it's just a few seconds of extra attention to make sure everything ready to go.

Just what i was looking for!
I had been searching high and low for a hard shell care for the new Macbook Air M2.
This case is super sturdy and doesn't add too much weight or thickness to the laptop. In fact, it makes holding the laptop more full and doesn't slip or slide out of your hands.
It snaps on with ease and doesn't budge. Different cases would lose their shape somehow and i would constantly have to snap the pieces back on, but now with this one.

The quality is fine, as it has always been. However the clear color choice should be called frosted at best or even white. It looks nothing like the 3rd picture of the clear photo set on the product page.

SUPERB MACBOOK CASE!!!
I had a speck smart shell case on my macbook pro for 9 yrs and it held up with no cracks! So, I waited patiently for speck to have a case for my new 2022 macbook air and the new case came out I ordered it and I received my new case the next day! I was pleased with the fast service and the cozy pink color I ordered is so beautiful and amazing every day I look at it for a few minutes and it makes me so happy! I looked at other cases from other companies but I had to have a speck case, there's no other case that can match up to speck! Thank you for such a well designed case

Perfect design
This case doesn't get in the way of the design of my laptop. It's super thick, protective of the front and the sides. I love it, even though it masks the color a little on the front. It's still way better than the other cases for Macbook Airs that I had from other places with my old one. It's so worth it!

I love that I can take my MacBook with me and not be concerned about it getting damaged.
The clear cover is great although it was a little difficult to get it on.

Case is not clear. Its translucent.
So this product feels solid quality... It has a nice feel to it. Only problem is, it is not clear. Its translucent. You really cant see the true color of the laptop through it... Also, I know speck does this with all there cases, but the logo being on the top of the laptop is unappealing to me. It takes away from the minimalistic look of the laptop. The logo thing is my own opinion, but the clear issue is a fact, it is not clear.
Oh yeah, also the feet on the bottom are white. Thats a bad idea. Its going to get dirty and become discolored.
Considering returning and going with a different case.

I was so happy to see Speck release a case for the new MacBook Air. Ordered it immediately in the pink shade. When it arrived, I had a hard time putting it on my Mac and the shade was off from what is on the website. A number of other concerns. Would not recommend!

Not "Clear"
Just echoing the other reviewers who pointed out that "clear" is a misnomer. I went by that description when I ordered & was surprised upon receipt; looking more closely at the ad photos I can see that all of the colors are actually frosted. I'm going to use the frosted "clear" one for now. But if, like me, you prefer an actual crystal-clear case, this isn't it. Great case otherwise.

Great fit for great protection
Although a great fit, it is listed as clear and would better be described as frosted. I have enjoyed that I no longer have to wipe off finger prints as I got the Midnight color on my MBA M2.

Does not fit!
Never fit my MBA M2. Don't recommend buying it, return shipping isn't free either. You're going to be spending money in returning the product instead of buying the product and using it.

It WARPED My Macbook!
I was so excited to finally get a sleek, protective shell for my new M2 Macbook Air. However, after just a couple of weeks with the case on, I just noticed that my screen began to warp outwards because of how tight the case is! Now my Macbook doesn't close all the way on either side, with or without the case on.
I will be reaching out to support to hopefully find a resolution for this.

Great product - I will buy again with my next new macbook
Great product so far - fit is nice and tight. Only thing I would say I dislike about it is I ordered the clear one, since I have the new blue macbook Air, and it is more frosted than clear, so hard to really see the blue shine through. But didn't deduct any stars, as it is no big deal just wanted to mention.
