Loved the case for my new phone that I received on 11/17 until I couldn't press the on/off or volume buttons without using both hands because the case covering those buttons was so stiff. i am very disappointed. I have purchased many Speck cases and have always been happy with the product. This case was a failure for me.

I ended up wanting a case that was more decorative, so I did not buy it in the correct size. However, if you want a clear case this one is clear and I'm sure it it very good quality. I've had a Speck IPad case for 5 years, that I just replaced and only because I wanted a new color. It's held up perfectly in those 5 years and so I would expect the same quality in this phone case.

After numerous drops and 6 years the case was still protecting my phone. I learned to trust speck. I like the clear case because I can put a picture of my sweetheart on the back of the phone. So getting another Speck clear case was a no brainer. It's thin, fits in a holster, and I expect all the benefits of my 1st Speck case.

This case also did not seem to protect the camera lenses well enough. The lip around that area needs to be slightly higher. I did love the way it looked on my phone... too bad I had to return.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and without the case, nervously carried it around until the Speck clear case arrived. It looked as though the case would arrive on time but the USPS got it close, then drive it away from my address and finally delivered it nearly 3 days later, so don't pay extra for "faster" shipping, it's pretty much a scam on the Postal Service's part.

Has a border around the front screen and has a border around the back camera so they don't get damaged

There's a nice lip around the front to save on the glass possibly hitting the floor. The case is pretty slick, so if you are clumsy or things slip out of your hands, this case likely will, but, it'll protect your phone during the fall.

I searched and searched before finally settling on a clear case with a black rubber border. I was perusing the internet and came across the speck clear case. Trust and believe o could not be happier with a phone case, more so than I am right now. Plus, I've dropped my phone twice, and not a single flaw to the phone. 10/10 Would def recommend for someone who wants to show off the color of their phone, a picture, a sticker, etc… all while maintaining the perfect amount of protection. Thank you Speck. Love you all!

The buttons on this are literally impossible, especially the volume ones. It makes the case unusable. I'm seriously hoping Speck redesigns this or they may lose me as a customer.

I can't exactly remember but i feel like that one had more cushion on the inside while this one is just hard plastic all around (minus the buttons). It looks nice and clear. (Have not got the phone yet)

The case feels great in hand and in pocket. It's just a little thicker than I would prefer but I also understand they are protecting my phone so I'm good with it. Good front lip protection as I often set my phone face down. My ONLY complaint is that the buttons on the bare phone are really pleasant to press but almost difficult to press with the case on. I'm getting used to it, and I'm sure the phone is also well protected in that area, but I had to complain about something. Not a complaint, but something to remember that if you have oily hands it will show on this case. Then again it will probably show on just about any smooth case. However, it wipes off very easily and cleanly. Overall, love the case. Well done Speck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Couple Issues The side buttons (volume/shutter) are very difficult to press, especially one-handed. For example: screen shots and selfie-mode shutter use are difficult. The power button is easy. The rear-facing camera lenses do not appear to be very protected as they are at the same level with (flush with) the back of the case. The raised lip/edge is much shallower than the raised edge around the front screen. It only comes up to be level with the lenses, not above the lenses, which would provide protection. I've had this case on my 12 pro max for 5 days. Haven't dropped it yet, knock on wood. The case feels sturdy though does add some bulk to the phone.

As I'm sure you know by now from reading the reviews you know that the volume buttons in power button are very stiff. It is quite hard to push them to the point where you have to move your phone to a different position in order to have the finger strength to push the buttons. This case is impossible to take off of your phone. It's truly horrible, taking the case off the phone feels like you are going to break the phone it takes a lot of brute force. The cherry on top of why I hate this case is that it doesn't even fit correctly. There is room between the case and the phone on the back so when you hold your phone it will make a plastic crackling noise. The case is not grippy at all either, the only thing I like about this case is how clear it is. I'd like to save you some time, if you are looking for The most secure case you can get go with the OtterBox defender If you are looking for a secure case that also has a lot of functionality and is still slim then go with the mous limitless 3.0

I got a clear one, as I've seen that it doesn't turn yellow and it really protects the phone very well. I have dropped it numerous times with no damage at all to the phone. I do not particularly like that it can be tough to pop out the phone from the case. I love to clean my phone regularly so this may be difficult for me to achieve quickly without some effort. I do like that the side buttons are easy to use with case.

I had a clear Speck case for my iPhone SE the whole time I owned it and when I took the case off the phone it looked brand new. Only downside is that the old case discolored, hopefully this case doesn't do the same. Also wish this case was a little less bulky. I bought a black Speck case for my husband and son and I really like the feel and thinness of it. Phones are big enough as is.

One day later, when I tripped up the stairs at school and completely SLAMMED my new, precious phone off the concrete, I was worried. But what for?? I'm careful with my phone but appreciate knowing it'd be safe if it took a tumble. It has clattered onto the wood floor from the couch without problems. I can feel the cushioning ion the corners but don't feel it's adding too much bulk. Happy with it.

I'm replacing it because it's too hard to use the volume buttons - the plastic is just too stiff and I have to push really hard on the buttons for them to engage. I bought this because it was so highly rated for iPhone 12 pro max by respected websites, so I'm very disappointed.

It is a little hard to press the buttons but I kind of like that so I don't accidentally press the buttons. The "bump out" on the back extends beyond the lenses so provides some scratch protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice clear case I bought this case for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max I haven't had the keys very long yet but so far I really love it it really is a super clear case it feels very strong and sturdy if it's tightly around the phone you can feel that it will keep it very well protected also the way the texture is or coating however you want to call it feels like it doesn't get dirty or a bunch of fingerprints and scratches it's smooth all around really let you show off your new phone the only thing I don't like is that the areas were you push the volume buttons are the power button you have to push it a little bit hard but maybe that's just because it's new so it's very firm but nothing that's a big deal I really hope that it does stay clear the way it claims and it doesn't yellow overtime but the great thing about spec products is that they have a lifetime warranty can just keep getting new ones if that happens I've always got in my products from here and I've never gotten A scratch or crack on my phone since using them

This case is great in terms of quality and I can already tell it's gonna take a lot of beating before it breaks. But, If you're looking for a case that has softer buttons that doesn't interfere when you need apple pay or to take a screenshot, then get something else.

The case is very hard to get on and off, the buttons are very hard to press, and the case cracked around the volume and lock buttons. However, the side buttons for Volume up/down and Power are very difficult to press; like the material covering the actual buttons is too thick. Frustrating when trying to use the volume or power controls, or trying to take a screen grab. Also, the case could use a better grip along the edge along with a cover for the power connector on the bottom. A decent amount of protection for the phone, but at times frustrating from an operational standpoint.

The raised bezel is higher for the screen and camera compared to other brands, it looks good on the phone and it's very protective. It provides the perfect amount of thickness to the phone, all the ports line up perfectly and the buttons work flawlessly all with adequate amount of drop protection. I will always purchase cases and other accessories if it comes to it from Speck :)

The same thing happened to my daughter several months ago. Both of us had to get a brand new phone. I called to see if Speck would at least replace the case with one that works better. They feel like it's not a case issue. It's a matter of how the phone hit the ground. So, since the case didn't break, only the phone, they won't do anything about it. I feel the case just doesn't protect the phone well, since on both occasions, the phones shattered. I trusted Speck. Not anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, clear, and slim (yet slippery) I love the clarity of the case, and it's slim yet feels very sturdy and solid. I don't like how stiff the volume button covers are, hopefully they just need to break-in and will loosen up with use. My other complaint is it feels slippery, not as grippy as I'd like. Still, I'm overall very pleased so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should have bought the Black Presidio2 Pro Instead I purchased 4 brand new iPhones recently with 4 different colors (2 iPhone 11 yellow, and purple) and (iPhone 12 pro max, Pacific Blue and Graphite) for 2 adults and 2 kids. I was told since I have 4 different colors to buy clear cases to show off the colors and Speck was recommended by a friend. So I purchased 4 Speck perfect clear cases for the iPhone 11 and 12 pro max. All have same same issue with the side volume up and down do not work properly. 2 of my kids (iPhone 11 decided to keep them since they gor little better and they got used to them. Our 12 pro max ones are really non functional and you have to press really hard to adjust volume up and down and it makes squeaky sound when you do so. iPhone 12 pro mac is a big (6.7" and heavy phone ) and the speck clear cases are very slippery and I believe I made the wrong choice and bad investment. Not looking at Speck website and reading the reviews, I regretted NOT buying the Speck Presidio2 Pro (black) that my other friend has has and recommends highly. I don't know what to do. My son said he is willing to keep his even though he would rather get the Presidio Armor Cloud Clear/Black and I prefer to get the Presidio2 Pro (Black). Otherwise I will stay unhappy and keep looking for optoins maybe consider buying teh Otterbox.

My initial choice wouldn't arrive until 2 weeks after my new iPhone Pro Max, so I was looking for something temporary. WELL, the initial choice arrived and I sent it back, keeping this one instead! Although the fit was so tight my for senior fingers I cannot apply or remove it myself, I think it is the right case to protect my pricy new phone without adding more bulk. Although there are no additional grips, it doesn't slip in my hands. I feel confident that it was an excellent choice to keep this case!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did not protect my phone from a two foot drop on tile This is my second speck case for iPhone and I have loved speck and pumped my entire family to get specks as well. Sadly, I was very disappointed when I dropped my phone on a tile floor. The phone was in my hand and I was sitting on a chair. So, not more than a couple of feet from the ground. I am devastated because my phone's entire back is cracked and it will cost me approx $600 to fix it. DO NOT BUY THIS CASE if you don't have insurance on your phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible Portions Yellowed Over TIme I've had this case for about 6 months. I wanted a clear case because I liked the color of my phone. So far the protection has been pretty good. I've dropped my phone a couple times and it's still in perfect condition. However, I've notices that the flexible portions of the case around the buttons have turned Yellow over time. This looks pretty ugly. The buttons are very stiff and hard to press, even after 6 months of daily use. Also, dust gets trapped behind the case fairly easily. And since the case is clear, it obviously shows through. I find that I need to take it off and clean it out at least once a week. I'll probably try a different brand for my next clear case.

It does not have the grips on the side but it is still fine to hold and does not slip. its been 2 weeks and it still looks new. Hopefully it will last the lifetime similar to other speck products.
