Rated 5 out of 5 by from Floppy case The protection seems good but I bought it to write on and the way it folds under the iPad, it is very floppy and uneven and difficult to write on. It is very nice looking but ordering the light pink was definitely the wrong choice. The outside has a kind of fabric-like material that I could tell would quickly stain heavily. If you're buying this only to watch with it though it would suit this purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product, except added weight/bulk for Apple Pencil I have used an earlier version of this product for an iPad for a few years and have been pretty happy with the weight and protection it provides. I bought this one for a new ipad pro 11", and it is basically the same product. However, there has been space added for an Apple Pencil, which I don't own and will probably never own. This adds unneeded weight and bulk to the product, and I would probably not buy again unless I intended to use a pencil with it. I would readily buy the case again without the wasted space/weight added for the pencil.

The interior is soft/microfiber-style and the exterior is leathery and stiff. There are plastic components that hug the iPad into place and overlap the edges slightly - it does not add significant weight and the color does not transfer to the iPad. It's easy to insert and remove. All in all: I really like this case.

The only thing I don't like is the pencil holder makes it difficult to make a screen shot or access the buttons. I don't use my pencil very often, so I wish the holder wasn't there.

I don't like how there isn't anything over the buttons, just around the buttons so it's a little hard to actually press the volume buttons or the on and off button. Also I wish I could stand up a little better. It always falls down even though there are spaces for the iPad to stand in

We are always very careful with our electronics and the one time the iPad fell it shattered completely. There is really no point in having your iPad inside this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just dropped it off to the post office to return. I've got a Speck cover on my older iPad and it's held up well. I'm sorry to say that I'm disappointed in this one. The inside backing is only sticky paper. I actually had to press down in spots to remove wrinkles and bubbles. This sticky paper extends out to where the pencil would go. It'll be torn up in no time. The place where the pencil attaches is open. The pencil could fall out anytime if the magnet lets go. Don't purchase this cover. Spend the extra $20 for the nicer one. It has a pencil channel and the inside backing appears to be nicer.

I do have a slight concern about the clasp, which seems like it might not last forever, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if that broke after heavy use. ipad is easy to get in and out, and I like the microfibre interior. Profile is good, and doesn't add excessive bulk.

More resilience than any of apple's options and affordable. It neatly accommodates Apple Pencil while it charges. It has a clasp so even if the magnet comes loose the Apple Pencil can't go anywhere. It props up easy on a comforter unlike apple's case. It is quite sturdy so I won't tear it or wear it out for the lifetime of my IPad. This case has me utilizing the IPad Pro for many things I went to my laptop for before with the apple case. A great, well designed little jacket for my expensive cellular IPad.

This is my third speck case for the IPad Pro, this very one but in red, and the 7ft fall case in purple, both going strong after a year. The color is just like the picture (baby light pink), I was looking for a pink case to match the aesthetic of my items but I didn't want to compromise protection and with this case, I didn't have to! It has a space for the apple pencil where it allows for it to stay connected and protected, which was very important to me when looking for a case. * Something to keep in mind is that it will get dirty a bit faster than other colors but it's not too bad. * Overall 10/10 Love this case and will repurchase when the time comes.

The plastic that cracks is very think. We have several ipad and have always purchased speck. I have tried calling and sending messages. No responses.

The only thing I wished it had was more grooves to be able to angle it back further. It doesn't block any sound from the speakers or the mic. The snap does just fine with the pencil.

I had a similar Speck case for an iPad Mini and it was very handy, not too heavy, and had just enough tilt to be comfortable for internet browsing. I got an new iPad Pro 11" and tried the Apple smart folio - too heavy and not a good grip on the back. I tried the Brydge keyboard but that was too heavy and I'm not a fan of the grippers on the edge. What I really want is a light, high quality, backlit portable Bluetooth keyboard that doesn't require another bulky case. So, since I was happy with the Speck before, I tried it again. The iPad Pro 11" is much different than the mini 4, and still this Speck case does an excellent job of providing protection and convenience, and has more options on the tilt function, and a handy clasp to hold it together nicely, with the Apple Pencil slot inside. I'm very happy.

Inside the case are a bunch of grooves to firmly set the angle of the screen. Finally there is a great latch to insure the case in closed in your bag and the iPad is off.

After my iPad Pro slipped from it's Apple magnetic keyboard folio (again) breaking the $300 screen, I did what I should have done when I bought the iPad and purchased a folio that actually protects the device. Having had great results with Speck products on my cellphones, I had no hesitation in purchasing Speck's case. It holds the iPad snuggly and the slightly raised edges protect the glass in case I drop my iPad. The felt-like inner cover adheres to my jeans when I prop the iPad against my leg while sitting. An unexpected and very practical utility. While the Apple keyboard was a convenience, I find I'm becoming more adept at using the screen keyboard. I still have it if I need it or I can go to the desktop for serious typing.

It has auto shutoff/wake, a place for an Apple Pencil to sit underneath the cover, a stand that I can prop it up on sideways, or you can just fold it back and hold it in your hands at a normal angle! It's also protective and ensures that the screen will not get damaged. I've already bought two Speck cases for myself, one for my iPad, and two for other people are gifts. I completely recommend this case and this company in general, it's my favorite brand for protective phone cases!

After 4 years, with the dog chewing on it, the cover coming apart among other things, I hac to replace it. I was hoping that the quality would still be there and it was. My new cover is hot pink. They have made a few improvements to the product like the magnetized bar is longer. I just love the new cover!

The only thing I would change would be for the case to be more sturdy in the typing configuration. When I put the case in the lower typing configuration, it tends to slide down as I am typing.

My favorite thing about this case is the color (purple/plum) and the fact that there is a typing angle. It helps when you don't have a wireless keyboard to attach. The typing/reading angle is beneficial to where you don't even need a separate keyboard.

To take a picture of the screen it is hard to get your finger on the button on the right side and the top button at the same time because the case sticks out passed the iPad for the right side button. My previous case was not like this. I was so disappointed in this case and will try to find one without that piece of case sticking out on the side.

It was a bit tricky to take my iPad in and out, but I think that's a good thing for me. I plan to keep it in the case nearly all the time. The outside of the case reminds me of a raincoat or suitcase cover, and is nicely textured. That makes keeping my grip on it easier and more safe feeling. I feel very comfortable carrying it in the same backpack as other books and papers. The latch wasn't what I was expecting, but I actually prefer it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unfortunately, I would not purchase this case again I purchases the red Balance FOLIO 11-inch iPad Pro Case directly from the Speck website. PROs: The color of the case is very vibrant and beautiful. The design on the case is functional with a slot that protects my pencil while charging it at the same time. The case is not heavy and has the perfect hold. CONS: I have only used this case for a week (8 days) and already the case has some wear and tear. The plastic "leather like" material on the outer surface has begun to chip and tear at the corners of the case and at the fold sight. I keep my case on another pouch so I am sure that these are not scratches but usual wear and tear. I am not sure why Speck is using a "cheap" material at a not so cheap price point. I am very disappointed because it seems like I will need another case end of the month. Speck has no exchange policy, so I am basically stuck! My other complain is that the delivery box came damaged with a sticker from USPS stating that they received it as damaged.

This one seems rather flimsy, I hope it doesn't break. Also the edges of the part that closes, the lid if you will, are bent upward. Hopefully with use it will lay flat. Right now it does not lay flat. I purchased this case because I was not happy with the old case I purchased when I got my iPad Pro. I felt this was very expensive for a solid color case. I really wish you could come out with some other colors and even patterns, like your iPad cases from previous years. This is my fifth or sixth Speck case, so I really like them much better than other brands. There isn't a lot out there for the iPad Pro 11 inch with accommodation for Apple Pencil. I'm attaching a photo of my favorite iPad case by Speck. Sure wish I could get this for my current iPad...

It does a great job in covering all sides of the device with cut-outs for the microphone, speakers and buttons. The case feels really sturdy and secure. . I'd definitely recommend this case as an alternative to the Apple Folio case.

The case can handle riding on the 4-wheeler or gator around the pastures gathering pictures and data on cows and calves. One minor thing was that when I put a stylus in the case, the stylus got dark marks on it where it touched the case on two sides. I don't keep my stylus in the case now due to the permanent discoloration. If you don't mind not being able to use the built in pencil holder, it is a great case.

I bought my iPad a year ago and immediately bought a case, but unfortunately it was a real let down. Since then, I've been trying to find a case that actually lets me charge my pencil and store it without taking the ENTIRE CASE off, and finally found this one! It provides plenty of protection especially since my iPad is in my backpack while I commute around the city and to school, and it's been great since. This is a great case especially if you own a pencil, and I couldn't recommend it more!

Initially I wasn't impressed as the case was received with a gray spec in the plastic making it look dirty. I thought that the case would be secure enough to protect my iPad, but the corners (without dropping it) are peeling away. The case just doesn't seem sturdy and itself is easily damaged. The front of the folio easily dents. This case is definitely cute, but I don't expect it to last.

The apple pencil can be placed properly. The design of buckle is also very clever. Nevertheless, the product has a strong smell. I am not sure whether it comes from the paint but I am sure it is a smell of chemicals.

The pink case does have the space to store the new Apple Pencil like the other color cases even though the picture doesn't show that. This is my 2nd speck iPad case and I've loved both of them. I also like how there are multiple levels to prop it up. It's protective yet thin & sleek. My only critique is that I wish they offered more colors. Only 3 of the colors have a spot for the pencil.

But within 5 minutes of being inserted, the screen cracked from top to bottom. Customer Service was utterly unresponsive and seemed unwilling to acknowledge that the crack was not the result of a fall. DO NOT BUY THIS.

The color was perfect, a pretty light pink, but I noticed immediately that when I was charging my Apple Pencil that the case wouldn't close. I held on, hoping it would adjust over time. Then, two weeks ago I noticed the inner folio fabric started to wear off almost immediately, and now I'm worried it scratched my screen. I only use the iPad for note taking, so I was disappointed to see so much wear, and I'm hoping it doesn't continue. I love Speck Products and was super excited for this case. I wonder if I just got a bad case... wish I could return it but I couldn't tell if the warranty allowed since I have had it for three weeks. If it doesn't cover it, I'd be even more disappointed because for almost $40 I expected a much better product.

It also is not made for someone who drops things a lot. I am overall happy with my purchase. I just have to treat it like it's fragile. The price was good. I would buy again.

I was a little disappointed that Gen 1 of this case did not support Apple Pencil charging. Speck, amazingly, sent me the Gen 2 product for free when it was released. It's a beautiful, sturdy case. The Case is now fully compatible with Pencil charging. Speck took care of me by fixing their own design flaw. They have won over a new customer.

It's lighter than the Folio Pro model, but offers a bit less protection. The back on the first one de-laminated around the camera opening and shortly thereafter the case broke right at the camera opening. It lasted about a year. She liked the case so much that I bought her another just a couple of seeks ago. We'll see how this one does. If she breaks this one, I'll get her a Folio Pro. Pros: Lighter than Folio Pro. Same great screen positioning as Pro model. Cons: Back panel de-laminated from case. Case cracked around camera opening when dropped from about 3 feet onto a tile floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A balancing act Wanted to protect my new iPad right away and thought this was the best option in the store I was in; had I more time I might have shopped around for a better option for tying and writing positions provided by the case. This case does protect my device but the case balances in place when in the typing position. I asked customer service for guidance about how to position and secure the case so it doesn't constantly slip. They couldn't admit there was no mechanism to keep the case in the position as suggested by the imagery (see attachment). There was a lot of back and forth on how it depends on how I was folding my case (okay there's only two ways to fold this and I showed the image as advertised on their website that was in question). Good case for daily use, but difficult for typing and writing. Good for reading and Netflix. Not for a working professional.

The one thing I worry about is the top of the folio (the part that covers the screen) seems like it could get dirty easily. So far, so good though!
