Balance FOLIO is a slim and stylish tablet case. This case securely holds my IPad in place and provides good protection as well. Not crazy about the toggle, which I don't use, on the side but that's my only negative comment.

I like the new features like the camera cover, pen holder, and magnetic back flap. Durable, and has already survived a few drops. Wish it came in more and brighter colors. I got pink to match my pink iPad. It's more of a dusty mauve. The inner suede-like liner attracts dust and pet hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straightforward and lightweight I bought a new iPad after my old one fell and broke, so I decided to get a more robust case. I have not dropped this one yet, but it appears to offer somewhat more protection than my previous option. The case is lightweight enough that using it in bed or on the floor is no problem. I like the little latch to keep the case closed or open. The stand was a little non intuitive to me initially but after figuring it out it is easy enough to set the laptop standing at different angles. The camera flap is gimmicky and I probably just won't use my iPad camera, rather just sticking to my iPhone. All in all, I am happy with this case, especially for the discounted holiday price!

Purchased the balance portfolio 11" iPad Pro for my new iPad Apple Air 4th generation which fits perfectly in it. Also has space for the Apple Pencil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fragile, inferior This cover is clearly an inferior product and Speck's warranty is not as good as other companies' warranties. The Speck Balance Folio cover on my iPad Air (3rd generation) has never left my house and is consistently used only on a recliner or in bed. It has never been dropped and has only been used by me, a retired school media specialist. It is literally crumbling around the edges. After only 19 months of gentle use pieces have broken off in the corners and sides leaving sharp edges that cut my hands and snag my furniture upholstery or bedding. I called to ask for a warranty replacement but was told the warranty was only one year. I have an Otter Box cover on my phone that has held up for three years of being tossed in a purse, having been dropped a number of times, and having had much more rigorous use. It is in perfect condition. I was offered a 30% coupon for purchasing a new Balance Folio but I ordered an Otterbox cover instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plastic retention clip broke. I received this case in October of 2021, the plastic retention clip became brittle and has snapped. Due to this the cover flops back and forth. I wish they made this part replaceable, as the case is perfectly fine, but is rendered almost unusable by the small piece of broken plastic.

I think Speck products are the best protection for phones and wanted this for my iPad. I love look and the various viewing angles it holds. The flap for the camera is great idea. Priced fairly for excellent protection.

Thank goodness that I have not dropped any devices yet to test this. The color is great. This iPad case fits my new pink iPad Air 5th Generation perfectly. I can hear from the speakers on both sides of the iPad Air. The inside is soft and the outside is durable and the case has a latch to keep the case closed and secured. Great product!

So went on Speck's website, found one I thought would work, chatted with someone to confirm it and then ordered the case. It fits perfectly and has several new features that my older one didn't -- a cover for the camera lens and a more stiff case when sitting the ipad up to use. I just wish they had a better color selection. Typical boring colors - could use some more upbeat and colorful ones.

I love that it has the fold down corner so you don't have to open the case to unblock the camera for pictures. As usual, like all of my speck cases, it's durable and protects the device well. I also love the feel of the case. I'll probably get another one just so I can switch up the colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks decent, hoping it lasts Purchased for our new 2021 iPad Pro 11". iPad arrived today and the case fits well and looks good enough. This new iPad is a replacement for our now retired, well-loved 5 y/o iPad that lived in a very similar Speck case it's entire life. This previous Speck case held up extremely well, though it should be noted that the older case was made with *much* nicer feeling materials…Feels like corners have been cut on material quality here and that's similar to my experiences with Speck iPhone cases over the years too (which I've since stopped purchasing in favor of other brands). Makes me a bit uneasy and dubious of this case's longevity, but we're pretty easy on our iPads so we'll see. Beyond mat'l concerns, my main knock on the case is that a version isn't offered without extra room for an Apple Pencil - I'd much rather have a narrower case available for those of us who won't be using an Apple Pencil where that space is wasted…suppose we may be in the minority for that with this iPad model though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case This case is the style I am used to. I don't care for the tri-fold style and I don't need a keypad or pencil. The quality could be better, but there are features I like. The camera cover works well. The grooves on the stand allow for various height settings, although it's not as stable as my last Logitech, which is not made anymore……occasionally the iPad slips out of the shallow grooves on the stand. It opens and closes/turns off well. The funny little clasp does work it you want to latch it (I never do) and really doesn't seem to get in my way. The ring part of the clasp is on a tight elastic piece and the part that would hold the pencil is small. My husband has the Presidio model Speck case (only comes in black) which is similar, a little sturdier, made of a different material, a little heavier, and encloses the sides more. The pencil holder is more enclosed on his and the volume buttons are covered (mine are not). I like mine better for my uses because it's a little lighter and easier to manipulate into different positions. It probably won't last as long as his has a lifetime guarantee and mine a one year.

You can set the iPad upright to watch or scroll at an adjustable angle, lay it down propped up for typing, or lay it flat for writing. I love that it locks on the side and leaves just enough room for my pencil. And it comes in purple, which is my favorite color and look great with my rose gold iPad. Great product! 10/10 would buy again.

I gave it 4 stars because when I dropped it the plastic frame broke at the top. This has happened on 2 of these cases. The first time I thought it was a fluke, but the 2nd one broke in the exact place as the first one. An obvious flaw in the construction of this product.

There are slots in several places which hold the device at several angles for viewing. It fits very snug, so it won't get damaged. The outside texture is nice and easy to clean
