So for first purchase of my iPad cover I naturally chose speck. Not disappointed. I was able to get this on a holiday sale. The case is sturdy, sits upright, also protects against chafing and is very nice and minimalist in design. There is a camera cover that you can toggle flip on or off and it leaves enough space for the Apple Pencil to magnetically stick.

I was alone in the room doing some work when I accidentally tapped the iPad with my elbow. It now has a cracked screen which will greatly reduce its resell value and is annoying to look at and to use.

I'm able to fold back the cover and hook it with the latch. I was also looking for something that I could prop up on my lap or chest while laying in bed and not have it fall over if I touch it. The case provides enough support for this and I'm able to use the iPad propped up while laying in bed. I also really like the auto wake/sleep feature and the covering for the camera. I also like that the Apple Pencil stays in place and doesn't fall off. All around this is the perfect case for me!

Has a place to store an Apple Pencil as well as a covering for the camera which is easily opened when using it. I think they thought of everything with this case. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed - iPad damaged in minor fall It's fit and finish are adequate but not worth the price. It's asserted level of protection doesn't actually pan out. On day 3 my brand new iPad in its equally new Speck case fell from a counter well less than 4 feet high. Despite Speck's claims that the case protects against falls from a height of four feet the iPad in its Speck case with cover closed was significantly damaged - the screen shattered. In addition the cover doesn't lay flush against the face of the iPad when closed. One corner isn't square and flat. The front cover generally doesn't hold its shape very well. Finally, I guess that the cover has no magnetic closure so the iPad doesn't turn off when the cover is closed. A real annoyance. I give it two stars rather than one because it looks good, has decent materials and I like that it accommodates the Apple Pencil. Overall I'm very disappointed and it's nowhere near what I had expected.

I think this case is excellent it has great fit and support and although I haven't dropped it yet it seems like it would resist damage as is has a little lip above the screen height. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn't stay in its standing grooves very easily if you tap the screen too hard.

Something else that made me throw away my past case and get this one is that the case allows your iPad to have direct contact with the Apple Pencil making it super easy to charge even if you have a protective case on the pen.

The adjustable base options are perfect and I use all five for varying needs. My oldest is 10 years old and still looks like new. You'll not find a better product on the market for tablets.

I've been using Speck cases on my iPads ever since I got my first one many years ago and they have always met my needs. However, I'm a bit disappointed in this one. I got this case, along with a new iPad Pro, as a Christmas present. After using it for a few weeks, I realized that the auto sleep/wake feature did not work! At first, I thought that my new iPad might be defective so I placed it into my wife's generation 1 case and the feature worked perfectly! Obviously, the issue is the case! This has negatively impacted my opinion of Speck products and will definitely effect any future purchase decisions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The pegs/notches that hold it up aren't sturdy The pegs and notches that hold the tablet into a certain position constantly fall down with just the slightest movement. They don't hold it up very well at all to be honest. Meaning if both pegs on each side are notched into one of the tilt positions and it's on your lap and/or bed if you move it will fall down and need positioned over and over again. Which is really annoying when you're watching a video or FaceTiming. Other than that the build quality does seem good and sturdy.

I flap that covers your camera when not in use is awesome, since most cases don't offer this option, it's genius! Since the iPads camera usually doesn't get used very often, this addition makes sense, and the magnet built into the case to keep the flap from moving, holds very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mixed Bag Speck products usually knock it out of the park. All my iPhones (started with the 4s !) have been in Speck cases. This one is not quite there. Overall good build quality. Light weight and yet full edge and corner protection (except where you need to access buttons, ports, or charge your Apple Pencil). Even at that, with the cover closed and snapped, the Pencil remains secure. I have mixed feelings about the cover flap for the camera…while it provides good protection there, it is an extra step to uncover the camera when you want to use it. I actually bought two of these…first one took a fall and the plastic tab on the back broke, leaving a sharp plastic edge exposed. Annoying, but I figure that's on me. Importantly, the Speck case did its job with no damage to my iPad! So I bought another one. My main complaint with this case is its stability when propping up the iPad for viewing or typing (I connect an Apple Mac keyboard via Bluetooth). The interface between the ridge on the bottom/left side of the case body and the grooves in the cover is simply too minimal to hold the iPad unless it is resting on a perfectly flat table. Anything under one part of the cover or resting it on your lap and it's highly likely the case will collapse to the flat position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sleek and great quality case, would highly recommend Great and affordable case – I use it for both writing with the Apple Pencil (has a great spot to keep the pencil secure so it doesn't fall out while you're walking around) and also works great with a wireless keyboard. Chose this over cases with the keyboard included because I only use the keyboard on occassion and rely more on the Apple Pencil or watching videos etc. so would highly recommend. Also like how it doesn't rely on the magnetic grab to keep it in place

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed This is a perfect fit for my new iPad Pro and pencil. Well made. Works as a good stand for hands free. It is also a good solution for the camera lens, which produces a bit from the iPad itself and seems easy to scratch. The little magnetic cover takes care of that fear and does not get in the way of taking pictures. A huge improvement over the previous version, which didn't fit the new lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case I got this case for my IPad Pro 2020. It fits perfectly. The edges are hard plastic so removing the iPad many times will probably cause scuff marks. It feels pretty cushioned and sturdy. There is no magnetic close but it does wake when opened the case. Would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great as a case but needs work I really like this case. I find it that it protects my ipad well and my Apple Pencil fits snuggly in the little pen holder it has. I like that it has a clasp to close the case and holds everything together well. I do not like when I am trying to write on my ipad the case continuously falls when I have set up at a writing angle and I write ALOT. So that definitely needs work. Otherwise cool case.

The lined interior has always helped keep my iPad scratch free. The cover for the camera lenses is an interesting and useful concept.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, sturdy case I'm so grateful I was able to find this case! I was too afraid to use my ipad until I had one, and I couldn't ask for a better one. The case is sturdy, there's plenty of room to hold the pencil without it getting pushed around, and it's easy to prop open to hold the iPad up. I like the grey color, and it doesn't seem like it will get dirty easily.

It was advertised to do that, but it does not. It does not appear to be lined up properly, I have written to customer service to see what they say. This is my second one and recommended to a friend and they are having the same issue. I would not recommend this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case but wish it had magnets! The case is great for what I needed: multiple viewing angles for watching tv & drawing and easy charging for my Apple Pencil. I love how this case props up the iPad using the outer cover. Some cases, like the Zugu case, puts the interior cover on the table when propping up the iPad, which seems dirty to me. I wish the case had magnets to secure the viewing angles and to magnetically close the case. The physical clasp is fine. It makes my Pencil very secure but cheapens the look in my opinion.
