Poor service
A company should not only be graded by their product but also their customer service. These are the best sounding and comfortable headphones I have used and the pricing is very competitive compared to other brands. My first pair broke after three years of use, so I bought another pair at the end of November 2023. This second pair has broken in the same way in only 1 year and 3 months. After waiting on the phone with customer service for 30 minutes. There was no leniency on the warranty since it was only covered for one year.
I find two things wrong with this:
1. If I buy a $330 pair of headphones I expect them to last about two years of office use with no breakage.
2. If I spend $330 TWICE with a company then I also expect to be helped in a reasonable time. I had to navigate the "virtual assistant" on the phone and it kept asking me to say yes or no to a bunch of questions and after 5 minutes pointed me towards the manual for me, the customer, to look through when that wasn't the reason for my call. After 20 minutes calling again I finally reached an actual person to assist me. I'm sure they tried their best but I'm almost certain her manager said that since it's past the year mark then there's no need to honor it.
I have a few apple, bose, and Samsung products. I have had to use customer service a couple times with all of those companies and was helped swiftly and fairly. Samsung honored a warranty 8 months after it expired!
Because of this poor experience with sony despite me being a long term customer I can not in good conscious buy another product from them until I hear large changes being made in their company. I will be going with other companies like bose or apple, that may charge more, but actually treat me as a customer versus a number. I refuse to give a total of $1000 to a company in 4 years.
I will certainly be leaving the same review on Amazon as well since that is where I bought the first pair of headphones. I'm sure sony will remove this review since it's pretty negative.

Excellent features and well executed
I just got my pair of these today, and they are very much worth it for the price tag which might be a bit unethical to some, but the quality of this product very much makes up for it! The noise cancelling is great and I haven’t got to use the controlling ability for it yet but I am very much expecting it to not let me down. The only downsides I would have so far are that these headphones easily catch and pull out hair and the bass is very heavy and drowns out sound quality a bit, but that’s adjustable in the app they provide which also lets you make your own equalizer! Other than that everything else is excellent and very much worth the price!

Will not play CD's with noise cancel function.
I do not use Bluetooth and I bought this to use with my portable CD player, HOWEVER...
The unit must be turned OFF in order to play my CDs. Thus I can not use the NOISE Cancelling feature AT ALL.
Is there some way around this problem, if not , i will likely return the unit to the store.
