A full-frame24mm to 240mm zoom range allows this one lens to cover an extensive variety of shooting situations with 10x effective zoom range, making it ideal for landscape, snapshots, portraits and travel where reducing luggage is a priority. The ability to switch from wide angle to telephoto without having to change lenses also means that more of those fleeting moments that make great shots will be captured. The advanced optics include 5 aspherical elements and 1 ED glass element, achieving high-quality performance in a compact overall design. An advanced linear motor drives the focusing mechanism for quick, smooth response throughout the extended zoom range. Handheld telephoto shots and low-light photography are facilitated by built-in Optical SteadyShot (OSS) image stabilization. Like all other FE lenses, the design is dust and moisture resistant.

Sony SEL24240 - zoom lens - 24 mm - 240 mm is rated 4.20 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to lens. Lite to carry easy for close ups. I bought this lens about 5 years ago. Used for lot of my bird shoots but now I have 300mm to 600mm but it weights 7 pounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 24-240mm lens Compact for what it does and quite heavy. I bought it to use as my 'standard' lens. But the AF is sooo slow. I've pretty much gone back to using a manual focus 28-200 for many things

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice zoom range but lacks sharpness at full zoom I bought this lens at expensive price assuming Sony lens reputation is excellent. However this lens falls far short of my expectations. Firstly the focusing ability is not quick. I need to constantly zoom out and then zoom in slowly for live action shots. By this time the special event was missed. Secondly, the zoom at full zoom 240mm results in pixels which are slightly blurry and not pixel sharp. This occurs even when I’m shooting 20 ft away and for objects 300 ft away. For a lens that costs four figures I expected much better. Lastly this lens doesn’t have a AF/MF (manual focus) switch. It’s too late for me to return the product to seller. Wish Sony had some firmware upgrade or customer return policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I love the versatility of this lens and the image quality. I wish it was lighter weight but I can live with that. However I am disappointed in focus speed as it has a hard time keeping up with my a6000’s ability. I have three other lenses which are very rapid focus which I use when I need fast focus speed. A little disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile all-rounder In today's cheap and easy travel get-a-ways and escapes, all is not really that cheap when it comes to baggage. I have been caught many times for extra payment, primarily as I travel with 12 -15kgs of camera gear,(includes underwater housings, strobes, etc.). This lens allows me to cut my weight without too much compromise on getting the quality shot. It is wide angle enough for landscapes and a great zoom range for getting in a bit closer or pulling the frame in. I'm not a pro, so I can't go into techie speak, but this is my main lens for land based pics. I have taken shots of a village near Exmoor from a hill 1200m from the church, to zoom in on camera screen and read the time on the clock. A great feature is the lens has a very positive wind in and out for zoom. I use a quick fire shoulder strap and despite the camera dangling, there is no lens creep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super functional I recently switched from Nikon D700 to a Sony A7II. Over the years I had acquired a lot of lenses for my Nikon. Starting over was rough but I am so happy I did. I know I will invest in some quality primes over the next few years but because of my previous experience I knew that starting with a long range telephoto zoom was a no brainer. It’s the type of lens that was kept on my Nikon 80% of the time. Dxomark has the 24-240 ranked last for all of the tested Sony full frame lenses. I have never been a pixel peeper. I am an avid hobbyist and I primarily shoot my family, vacations and the awesome activities we get to do living in Alaska. Whatever technical quality and sharpness you sacrifice with a long range zoom is easily outweighed by the convenience of having one lens that can do it all. Another feature that I appreciate is that the barrel extends ever so slightly (maybe 2-3mm) as you widen out fully to 24mm. This prevents the possibility of lens creep without the need for a locking switch. The A7 series of cameras are amazing and the photos that I get out of Lightroom definitely exceed all of my needs for quality. I have yet to take a picture and think to myself, I wish the corners were a little sharper. By winter I will pick up an ultra wide prime because the only photos that I take where I value that corner to corner sharpness are of the night sky and the aurora. For the first lens after the kit however, unless you have a primary type of photography that you shoot an overwhelming majority of the time, it only makes sense to start with a decent quality lens that can do it all. I can’t imagine any photographer not having use for a lens like this in their collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens! I bought this lens to use on my Sony a7r. This is a great, all-around lens. It resolves the 36mps quite well, and the fact that I don't have to keep changing lenses is a super reason for my buying this lens. I am quite pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great General Purpose Lens I bought this lens and a Sony A7ii in March 2019. I found it ideal for travel photography where you need such a range without need to swap lenses. Bring able to switch from wide angle landscape to telephoto wildlife is idea!. Without this lens many shots would have been missed. The only poor pictures out of the 4000 I have been taken are due to me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 24-240 lens is a very average lens, not sharp Had to sell it after a couple of months. Not sharp at all, and slow to focus. Went for the Tamron 28-200mm instead as very sharp and smaller/lighter. Sorry SONY, this lens is definitely not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday all-around lens. I have purchased 3 of these lenses. I use them for two-camera shoots as well as for everyday good-to-go lenses. A bit less sharp on the edges, but coupled with the a1, well it does what I would expect and I am very satisfied. Not a G-lens, but good results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jack of all trades, master of non. Its not particularly light, and the autofocus is not blazing fast, and aperture is not constant throughout the range. But if you need ONE lense that can cover the 24-70 and 70-200 focal range, this is for you. It is reasonably sharp for a super zoom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build and versatility This is my first and only lens for my new Sony Alpha 7 mk2. Took it with me to Costa Rica to take wild life photos and was so glad I did. Most photos were taken on full zoom and I had to use the manual focus so that animals were in focus instead of the leaves and branches in front / behind. The lens makes this much easier with the focus ring. Lens is not suitable for close up macro photos, although if you step back and zoom in you can still create macro shots with a very steady hand or tripod. Portrait photos are also gray with this lens. A good all rounder, particularly useful for beginners like me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Run and gun legend Had this lens for about a month now and I have taken over 10,000 pictures with it. Being used for both photography and video I can say it holds up very well. I have done astrophotography timelapses for 8+ hours into the night with very sharp focus all the way through. Using this lens wide open for interior shooting works well however, not the fastest lens so you may stretch your ISO a bit more with the f/3.5. Absolutely makes shooting B-roll footage a breeze. The wide range of focal length gives many options which makes this lens ideal for a one and done type of lens for those who aren't concerned about having the absolute best quality in every single scenario. Overall best all-round lens for multipurpose use in my opinion, love it! *Note this lens is a tad heavy so expect to have a very sturdy tripod if you plan on mounting it*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Operator I wanted a lens that covered a wide focal range, the FE 24-240mm does just that, it’s the right size and weight and compliments my A7 IV body perfectly. The operator is smooth, fast and pin sharp. My first outing was outside shooting at the longest focal range in overcast conditions, this did not phase the lens at all, the photo results have been excellent. This lens is competitively price, and is worth every penny. A great Sony lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatility and quality Very impressed by the quality of the images and the versatility of the lens. I use my Sony a6300 mainly on holiday and it's a joy to be able to have one lens for all types of shot, whether it's landscape, portrait or anything else. It can feel a bit bulky when compared to the size of the a6300 but I quickly got used to it and don't find that it has hampered me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Qaulity bought this at the beginning of March and from the moment I took it out the box I knew I had bought a quality product. Felt amazingly sturdy and compact. For a trail run I took it down to the local fish quay to get birds in flight. The focus was extremely fast, the zoom was smooth and silent and the size made it easy to point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10x Zoom Great quality lens for a 10x zoom. I bought to use on holiday and as a walk around lens on my Sony a7mk2 and possibly my a6300. It's a surprisingly large lens and heavier than expected but I'm pleased with the AF speed and sharpness. It's the best 10x ish zoom I've used. On the a7mk2 it's reasonably well balanced. On the a6300 acceptable. APSC focal range is 36-360mm so pretty good for wildlife and nature. Great addition to my e mount lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality, but zoom ring is too tight The product is great in terms of versatility, giving an excellent range from wide to telephoto. For the 6000 series this represents an effective 36-360mm. The build quality of the lens is very good and feels pretty robust, with the only downside being the zoom ring. It is so tight, that when you change direction of turn the lens will move slightly on the mount. I have tried other copies of the lens and this was consistent across multiple lenses. For me this was a deal breaker as I found the effort required to adjust zoom was causing camera shake, particularly when zoomed in to the 200-240 mm range. I would advise trying this at a retail store to make sure you are OK with the zoom ring before purchase. Image quality is very good, though there is some loss of sharpness particularly in the corners at both ends of the zoom range. Overall a good lens, if you are OK with the stiff zoom ring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Happy Bunny I bought this as a gamble as I wanted to have a lens that would cover a wide focal range for my motorsport shooting. I have been shooting MS for over 10 years now and during that time I have worked my way up in my equipment. I started out with Nikon and over the years built myself up to pro spec glass across all focal lengths (including a 500mm F4) but early last year I decided to move to Sony for MS (I had already made the jump to Sony for my landscape work in 2016) and have not looked back. I have two A9 bodies and got the amazing 200–600mm at the start of the year that blew me away. I wanted something that would cover the lower focal length and to have the lightest possible bag to carry around the track. If you had asked me a couple of years ago to consider what is essentially a fancy kit lens for what I do I would have laughed but I took the leap having read a couple of reviews and I am more than happy. The lens is used for panning and nothing else and for that purpose it serves me very well (bearing in mind that I’m using it on an A9). I am sure that if I was using a 70-200mm 2.8 (which I had in my Nikon setup) there would be slightly more punch and sharpness to the image but the weight gain would negate it for me. If there are any negatives I would say that having a steady shot switch would be a bonus (leave it switched off in the camera menu if you are panning) and I wish that the zooming action was smoother but that’s about it! I am coming back from a days shooting with so many more keepers than I used to with my Nikon set up and have probably lost half of the weight (maybe more), which matters a lot when you are at a race track. I find myself wondering around more as everything is in one rucksack and easy to carry. As I said, I am a happy bunny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from truely useful I ummed and erred for a long while before buying this lens. I read many not so good reviews, in the end the incredible versatility was what pursueded me. I can carry one lens and cover a huge range of focal lengths, no swapping lenses at awkward moments or in difficult places - it allows me to concentrate on the task at hand, taking photos. The picture quality for an oppertunistic photographer is very good, more than acceptable. If you have the intent of "setting up" a photo, this is not your lenses, but if you you are out walking and want the option to take any photo, it is brilliant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Lens Solution I’ve been searching for a single lens solution to cover landscape, family, air shows and general travel for some years. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good all around 35FF lens! Not the sharpest, not the lightest, nor smallest or fastest, nor the cheapest lens. But you do sacrifice those to get a 10x zoom lens good for 35FF with decent image quality. It is middle of the road overall, but it does deliver a lot if you are a practical person who wants decent and good images, not perfection Price is a bit stiff for many, but for what it can do, it pays for itself in time. At least, that's better than buying 3-4x lenses to the same range and close to the same aperture. Think how much you will pay for a 70-300 G OSS and something in the 24-105 rrange to cover the same range! The lens is hefty and not light, but still lighter really as it is made for 35FF sensors. AF speed is ok, not linear motor fast, but decent, especially for video. It does tend to slow down a bit at the long end. But this could likely be due to the smaller opening, than the AF motor itself. Also, if you use older cameras like the A7-2, it will focus slower vs the A7-3 or A9. IQ is very good. Not fantastic, but very good for a 10x zoom. If you crop or zoom in on the image, there's much detail. Contrast is a bit low though, but you can always add contrast post. Resolution is more important though as you can't make that up post. The lens works best from 24-135mm. past that, IQ goes down a bit. Stopping down a bit, helps, but not by much. Vignetting is not that bad but it's more found at the wide end. Color is ok, nothing skewed. Neutral is the word. I already have the amazing Tamron 28-75 f2.8, and IQ-wise that is very close to a prime from 28mm to 75mm. But in some shoots, I missed having 24mm and a much longer reach. I can switch to ClearImage zoom to get some reach, but I can't recreate 24mm. I also don't have to buy the 70-300 w/c was more expensive, though more reach and carry 2 lenses in the process. Sometimes, you just want one lens to do it all. Another bonus is if I get an a6400, this will effectively be a 36-360 lens! Good for some field sports/action. This might also spare me from getting the new 70-350 which will cost about the same. Pros - -10x zoom - sharp in the center even at 240mm (soft in the corners though) - works best from 24-135mm wide open - weather sealing - no lens creep - excellent build. Inspires confidence. - easy to use (just stick it to the camera and you're ready to go!) - AF-C in video is smooth, not abrupt - manual focus ring is smooth and does not jump or overly fast/slow Cons - - heft/size. Not exactly portable - weight - OSS is not as good as newer lenses - AF is slow at the long end and not as fast as newer rail type AF lenses. - no AF/Manual switch - no IS on/off switch - not very sharp due to the compromise in the 10x zoom, but sharp enough for most usage. - lens can be large for small hands. Summary An underrated lens. It is really a solid all-in-one lens for a 35FF camera. It is not as sharp as other lens, but it isn't really that soft overall. In fact, it is very sharp in the center and is best from 24-135mm. Past that, it's still holds detail specially in the center. I can always carry my 28mm f2.0 to complement this lens in case I do need something for low light and excellent sharpness but without carrying anything more heavy or big/bulky. The lens itself is a bit on the bulky size and weighty, but not as much if you are to carry 2-3 lenses to cover the same range. If one is going on vacation and want something versatile, or you are going to an event or shoot and you don't know what to expect, I think this lens + a 28mm f2.0 (or a 35 f1.8) would pair nicely for those times you want 95% covered. If you want something smaller and lighter, maybe going aps-c is the better. Problem is, there seems to be no 10x zoom lens at this time that spans 24-240. The closest is the 18-135 (27-202mm 35FF equiv). Not exactly 240mm nor 24mm at the wide end. You still have to go 2 lenses, and add the 55-210, which is not as good, nor has weathersealing as this lens. But still, going aps-c may be another solution if one still wants to cut down more on the weight and size. Overall, it is a good all around lens. Too bad, not to many people think highly or much of this lens. -

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets expectations Big, bold and versatile. Heavy but perfectly suited to the A7 mk3. Especially well balanced as a unit for carrying in one hand by fingertips. Photo quality is maybe not as sharp as the best primes available but not disgraced in any way either. A great choice for everyday and travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great walkabout lens Unless I'm going out specifically taking wildlife photos, this lens has all the range I generally need - 1 lens means less weight, no changing & greater chance of getting that fleeting opportunistic shot. I am very happy with image quality, build and size. Go on, get one - I'm sure you won't look back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FLAWED GEM This is a great 'all-in-one' lens which takes great pix. However, there are two 'faults' (ignoring the fact that it is expensive!). They are: i) Weight - this is a heavy lens. On my A7II the combination is pretty hefty. I might point out that I am big bloke, so this is not such an issue, but for someone of lighter stature this MAY prove to be a problem; ii) On my example, the zoom ring rubber is a horrible mottled grey/black colour combination, looks almost like it is perished. The rear ring is pure black (as you would expect). I'm still considering a warranty repair claim - I presume this is a one-off occurence. This was NOT a grey import, but sourced new from a major UK retailer. A lovely lens, then, but may not be suited to everybody. If you don't mind the weight, the other issue may not bother you, in which case I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from General purpose zoom I recently bought a Sony Alpha 7ii body and wanted a broad range zoom to go with it. This 24-240mm zoom lens was the perfect solution given the limited supply of zoom lens designed to work with full frame camera’s. The lens is slightly bigger, and heavier, than desired but still gives me the versatility that I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this lens! My last zoom lens was a DT 18-250 mm standard zoom, and when fully extended would have some light flare and poor resolution. I have found this FE 24-240 full frame lens to have better clarity at full extension making for better enlargements. It weigh-in 7 oz more and worth the weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERSATILE BUT HEAVY I bought this versatile lens for my A7Rii body because it offered a wide range of focal lens and because, given Sony prices, it was the only one I could afford. In use, its proved its worth with excellent quality shots across its range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flimsy mount This is a great all-rounder lens - no doubt. But that is downplayed by the flimsy mounting system that shakes, rattles and disconnects the electronics. Had turn off and on once in every half hour to reconnect the electronics between the camera and lens. Decided to return the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sony Travel Zoom FE Lens 24-240 Bought for Travels (Holidays, Days out, etc) to replace the kit lens 28-70. Although a little bulkier and heavier, it does give me the wide aspect and zoom capabilities I have missed on holidays. I had to replace my carry case as the lens is longer than the kit one, a new skylight filter (72mm), upgrade the Gorillapod for the extra weight, and upgrade the cameras firmware for the lens. Easy enough to use on zoom and focus, I often use either auto or manual aperture (custom settings). The lens hood is very handy for the bright outdoors. Photos so far appear to be bright colours, stable aspect and good overall quality. No problems on shake or blur, and I am pleased with the lens performance in various lighting conditions. So I am happy with the purchase to date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Travel Kit This is a fantastic lens for travel! It's silent, quick, and reliable. This lens is very sharp for photographing objects from the size of a grapefruit to a statue. If you're going for tons of detail and challenging situations (low light, complicated contrast) you may want to stick with your primes... but you know that already. If you're looking for a single lens to take day-time photos of a hike or tour a city, this is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Lens ideal when travelling light I have only had the lens a few weeks and have not really put it to the test. However I am sure it will fulfil the role I bought it for - maximum versatility when travelling and really only want to carry camera body and one lens, as I shall when in Italy in May. The good feature are that it is full frame - hard to find in "travel" lenses. The consequence is a relatively restricted (10x!) zoom range and size and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SONY 24-240MM LENS I love the quality of this lens and it's construction. The only reason I did not award 5 stars was because it erred a bit on the heavy side but that can be a good thing meaning it is well constructed. It covers a wide range from 24-240mm which is basically all I need for what I do.However if I am shooting a very special occasion then I would put on my Zeiss 55mm f1/8 lens where the quality is just outstanding although it is limited to what you can photograph. The 24-240 gives me all the range I need with more than acceptable results. I would definitely recommend this lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Glass This is a lens that stands alone when you consider zoom range, weight, and sharpness. It's maximum aperture leaves a bit to be desired, but, If you combine it with the Sony Alpha 7S - this is a combo that can go anywhere and shoot in any - and I mean ANY situation. This is a perfect example of a modern, well designed, high tech piece of gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one I just got too tired carrying three or four lenses around to get that one shot. Truth is it took too long to fit the correct lens to my camera then the moment had gone and a truck load of dust and stuff ready to invade the optics. Sure the lens is big and perhaps too heavy but lighter than my previous set up. The lens is sharp from portrait to landscapes. A better than expected solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ONE great versatile lens for the A7-R This lens hasn't been off my camera since I received it. Why would it be? It's sharp at every focal length. It does vignette at 24mm, but it's very slight. The lens is heavier than I thought it would be, which just means it's a lot of glass. "Optical steady shot" seems to be working fine, whether or not the camera is on a tripod. So it's not fancy. No bells, no whistles, just a good all-purpose lens, which is what I've been waiting for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best single lens FE solution at this time. SONY FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 on A7s The lens, appears to me, to be surprisingly sharp for a super zoom. I think I am going to stop reading graphs and charts. After several days out on the desert with this single lens I am really impressed with the convenience of framing shots quickly over a broad focal range. Many shots would be very difficult to obtain in the rough terrain without a backpack full of lenses and a lot of hiking time. I never go on the desert alone and I almost never go with fellow shooters who would be patient. You can make the shot and keep moving. It is also easier to protect a single camera and lens from wind, dust and rain. As to the images themselves, the SONY FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 on A7s creates an amazing raw file with wonderful shadow detail. I keep forgetting that I am working with smaller images than my A7r. There is also an image quality that I can not describe. This lens likes this camera. Having said that, the lens is certainly not perfect. It has a very stiff zoom. Wide aperture enthusiasts need not inquire. It is a great landscape lens. If the lens performs as well on the A7r, a compact super wide along with this lens would (pardon the pun) cover the whole landscape in a small package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way Better than Expected! I'm Very Impressed! This was the first lens I bought for the A7RII when I switched over from Nikon June of 2016. I was amazed how sharp and how fast the focus was. It got even faster after the software was updated on the camera. I have seen some youtube reviews of this lens where they try and talk down it's abilities due to the fact it's not a 2.8 lens throughout the zoom like on the G Master zoom lens. Don't listen to this as this lens performs fantastically! Well worth every penny! You will use this on every trip you take where you don't want to keep swapping lenses! Also I shot in the rain, at night, holding an umbrella, at DisneyWorld during the fireworks at a 1/50th of a sec, 6400 ISO and the shots were excellent! Get this lens! (OK, it is a bit heavy but you won't miss the shot!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent versatile lens A heavy lens with a good solid feel, I use it with my Sony a6500 camera. Slightly heavier than I would have liked but worth it for getting close to the subject. You can also take reasonable wide shots without changing the lens. So far I have not used a tripod with the lens and find the photos straight from the camera need very little sharpening if any. Glad Paul at UK Digital recommended I buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Poor Kept the lens over a weekend and sent it back to the supplier probably the worst lens I have ever had. Sad really thought this was my answer to a great travel lens on reflection the varying reports on line were correct some were good others bad I might have had a bad copy who knows. I have a great variety of Sony lenses both E-& FE mount and could not be happier with them we really need a good travel lens like a 18/24 to 105mm Sony are sadly lacking in this range and you cannot rely on Sigma to cover what you don't have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing image quality While I wasn't expecting prime quality from this lens I was expecting it to at least be on a par with similar superzoom I've used with other systems. While not terrible the image quality is not great and the slowness of the lens at longer focal lengths means in anything other than bright light you have to use high ISO settings which further compromises image quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fair all-purpose lens for good light. The good --- Wide range 24mm to 240mm, 10x. Extends out with firm zoom ring. Extended lens will move back under pressure from the front. I cannot judge the effectiveness of the Optical Steady Shot in the lens because I have an A7ii with Steadyshot in the camera itself (which works great unless you have it on a tripod in a vibrating car). The limitations --- f/3.5 at 24mm, f/6.3 at 240mm maximum aperture restricts your ability to get more light in dim settings requiring a higher ISO which may result in more noise. Minimum focus-able distance with zoom is about a yard/meter so macro close-ups are not an option, The bad --- Occasionally, The locking mechanism between the lens and camera clicks loose when twisting the zoom; disconnecting the autofocus, f-stop, and the shutter itself, requiring the camera to be turned off and back on to reconnect it. On average, this has happened to me about once per 1-2 hours of use. Very annoying. I would only recommend this to a friend after they fix the loose mount issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Lens, Inferior Mount I was so excited to get this lens. It fit my needs perfectly. Unfortunately it didn't fit the camera perfectly. Basically the mount on the lens is made from an inferior material that hasn't been accurately machined or heat treated. (I'm an Aerospace Quality Manager and I know a little bit about this type of thing) There is an unacceptable amount of play in the locking mechanism. Using the telephoto ring causes the play to be very noticeable. And as you turn the ring back and forth over time, the locking pin pushes into the metal on the lens mount pushing metal up and widening the slot for the pin. In the one month I had it, that slot continued to widen. Yes I returned it. For this price, the mount must be hardened stainless that should be machined to a tighter tolerance and fit snugly. If they fix this problem I will buy it in the future. But I will take a close look before I do.

Although this new one is heavier it means I rarely need to also take my 55-210mm lens with me when I go out as I now have this one lens covering the range of the other two. Even better - when fitted to my A7 it still fits into my shoulder bag.
