Impressive and useful!
An impressive achievement in design and engineering! I use it on my A74 and this lens compliments my other glass. The FE 14mm 1.4 has given me a wonderful new tool to capture photos in an entirety new perspective. It's incredibly light, sharp, and versatile. I recently did some winter photography in -10 Fahrenheit and the lens performed without any problem. He's a sample below. Thank you Sony for your commitment to innovation and engineering excellence.

Amazing experience
From photographer perspective.
Amazing lens.
Thank you Sony for perfect product.
With 14mm GM you can discover different view of photography. Street shooting is more exciting when you need come so close subject. Aberration in that situations almost doesn’t exist. Shoots are sharp and cristal clear.(also in APS-C mode) Autofocus in close situations doesn’t perform much but everything change when from street architecture you just turn to sunset and amazing landscape view in second or super wide lifestyle and then is incredibly Sony autofocus system. So multifunction lens.
Solid build. Smooth focus ring. Custom button all futures are very smart and helpful.

This lens is a dream!
I shoot night images, and the stars are perfect with this lens. It's just sweet. So much better than the Rokinon and Samyang. Light weight. Trustworthy. Makes taking pictures FUN. I love the perspective and the beauty.

Just Good
I bought this three weeks ago and tried to take some city snapshot photos in HK. The lens coverage is good and only require a few steps forward or backwards to adjust. Happy with the lens performance. Besides, the size and weight of the lens are good and easy to carry.

Good features & superb images
I bought this a few weeks ago and the lens has hardly been off my camera. I bought it mainly for astrophotography but I'm finding lots of other uses and it's great. Another bonus is it's very light and well balanced on my camera body.

Just a wonderful piece of glas.
Full stop! It is very light, easy to use, compact, lets in a lot of light, and creates a cool picture design. Really nothing to complain about.

Great lens but tricky to master
I've been considering a wide-angle lens for some time, trying to decide between wide-angle zoom (e.g. 16-35mm GM). In the end, the extra 2mm of 'stretch' swayed it for me. I am so pleased with the results (but still learning - e.g. attached Church picture has good perspective but not as sharp as I would like - my fault for not stopping down!). I've attached a few pictures showing perspective (church), 'getting it all in' (hanging sculpture in Wye Valley) and sun-stars (another sculpture)

Fantastic Lens
I do mostly landscape Phtography and switched to the 14mm GM for the advertised features. Light weight, fast aperture, and sharp photos. I switched from the Sigma 14-24 and very happy I did.

Fantastic super wide angle lens!
The first thing you notice about this lens is just how small and light it is for such a wide and fast optic. I've added this to my bag for landscape and astro and it doesn't disappoint. The other great news is that you can now use 100mm filters in front of the glass which is perfect for my needs. highly recommended GM lens

The Night Queen
Dear Friends and Fellow Photographers,
Welcome, Sorry I am not able to upload thev original file due large size and a screen shot would not justify. I bught this lens mostly for my upcoming Night sky and Milkyway shoot. But it can equally be used for landscape shoot.
I randomly shot couple of green farm on road side and I was exremly hapy with result. The shots were emmersive as if it was wrapping the scene around. Almost similar like 12-24mm albiet considerably low in weight and smaller in size. It was tack sharp corner o corner. Great capture of color and contrast. I was extremly happy with this lens.Go for it.

Truly great lens
This lens has added a new dimension to my landscape images. The extra 2 mm may not seem much more than the wide end of my 16-35 but it is very noticeable. I love the results and, if you keep the camera dead level, the vertical really are 'vertical'!
