Excellent picture quality and good sound
Yet again another fine product from Sony. Very happy to add this to my A7rii and a6300. Bought this specifically to push myself into more film making and I’m glad I did. This camera is a full featured film camera that delivers excellent quality. If you are thinking about it go ahead and pick this one up, especially at this price point.

Great camera for the price.
Honestly, this is probably the best bang for buck you can get right now. Sony autofocus, colors, and just features in general make it amazing. And I’ve used it to match with fx9 and fx6 and it’s flawless. I love it.

Perfect Entry Into the FX Line
The FX30 is a great entry (or re-entry) into Sony's cinema line for filmmakers. It's a great run-and-gun option with professional features and professional quality.

Came out the box broken
Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to fully test out this camera because the sd card slot was broken when I received the camera. I got all my settings changed then went to put a card into slot1 and the depressor is jammed on that side and won't work. Slot2 works fine. And apparently instead of exchanging the camera for a working one, I now have to wait a few weeks for Sony to "take a look" at the product (which I unfortunately have a shoot in a couple days). So once I get a working camera I will update this review but for now it is sitting at a 3 star.

Vipetv loves the new FX30
Hi I love the new Sony FX 30 cinema camera. It fits in well but what I do I have shot over 15,000 music videos and some documentaries and short films and I always wanted a camera like this just for cinema.

Excellent camera
To get all the feature on thi camera is well worth the price.
Pictur quality is up there Excellent.
The low light is not as good as my full frame but aceptible in most scenery
I do miss the evf there is none on this camera

Fantastic Cine Camers
I’ve added this FX30 to my A7iv and A7Siii and now have the perfect setup for multi camera interviews. Early testing when using this as a run-and-gun camera are showing excellent results - as good as I could have hoped. I love the integrated audio handle and was pleasantly surprised by the weight and balance. I’m used the adding metal cages and handles to my other cameras, which are very solid, but weighty. The FX30 with handle is significantly lighter and so much more usable for extended off tripod shoots.
