Brilliant
i wore out my SONY UST laser projector light source (running it > 19,000 hours in 6 years) and replaced the projector with the SONY 98" TV. the loss of screen size (from 118" to 98") was more than compensated for by the amazing brillance of the picture.

Sony's the only way to go
Initially on the fence between the other companies. So happy that I went with Sony

Recently bought and set up the Sony XR98X90L. As I have had the TV up and running for about a week I can’t address longevity but I can say that it has a great picture but not as good as the XR75X95K that I moved to another room. I expected a small difference as the 90L is direct array and the 95K was mini LED but it is still a great picture. I am excited for the upcoming college and NFL football season and that will be a great way to really test the TV. I bought the 98” to replace the 75” because we use the close caption feature and it could be difficult to read because of the the distance between our couch and the TV - it is no longer a problem. BTW my wife was away when I had the TV installed and when she said this is a bigger TV I replied that her eyes were playing tricks on her and it was the same TV as before her trip but she was not fooled so I confessed. Great fun!

Incredible pictures screen size. 98” is magnificen
I would say this Sony Bravia 98 inch is an absolute wonder when you realize the size of the screen. Some of the positives are a great picture for every day, television, and Google TV is the interface has added some simplicity. Some of the downside is the heavy, heavy weight of this TV makes it nearly impossible to have flexibility once it’s in place. The same goes on delivery, it took four men to get this up to a second story apartment. I live in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and flights of stairs and older buildings is very common, so be aware that if you buy one that you’ll definitely need the help. In terms of the films , I would say that it’s good. The Samsung 98 inch equivalent, slightly cheaper, but also has has crisper screen. I bought the Sony, because generally for every day television it is superior to the Samsung, but for film watching experience, the Samsung does appear to have an edge over the Sony. Overall, very happy with my purchase, and especially love the Google TV integration with Google Home. I also have an Apple TV connected, which was actually an excellent experience versus the LG TV I have in the bedroom.

Way better than the AWOL 10' Screen
I originally ordered a 10' Awol projector and screen. I sent it back during the 30 day return and ordered the 98" Sony Bravia XR. Way better and I really don't notice the difference too much from the 120" to the 98", but the picture is way better now.
