SonicWall SonicWave 432o - wireless access point - Wi-Fi 5 - with 1 year Se is rated 5.00 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy-to-deploy platform with prompt technical support services What is most valuable? The platform's most valuable feature is the ability to provide cloud access to configure and manage devices. It integrates with ETP solutions; thus, we don't need to run a firewall. They provide an online wireless line manager application. Its basic access point is Wi-Fi 621, which has 2.5 G connectivity. None of the competitors, including Fortinet, enables this facility on the most basic level. What needs improvement? The product's pricing is high and could be improved. They could introduce a version that is low in terms of cost, considering the market they cater to. Additionally, they could provide a variety of modules apart from 621, 641, and 681. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using SonicWall SonicWave Access Points for a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a very stable platform. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The product is highly scalable. We are working with small and medium companies. How are customer service and support? The technical support team is more prompt and responsive than other vendors. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Compared to Fortinet, SonicWall has better support services. How was the initial setup? The platform is easy to deploy and maintain. They offer a mobile application that can be connected using Bluetooth, helping with easy configuration. It allows the management of multiple branches and requires one executive to handle the process. What was our ROI? SonicWall's models, like the 621, 641, and 681, enhance performance for newer devices like Microsoft Surface PCs, commercial desktops, and notebooks from brands like HP and Lenovo. This superior technology not only improves user experiences but also boosts overall productivity. It positively impacted network efficiency, device compatibility, and the sustained value delivered to businesses. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The platform offers yearly licenses. We receive all the support services through our partners. Thus, there are no extra costs involved. However, some partners might charge for deployment services. What other advice do I have? I rate SonicWall SonicWave Access Points a ten out of ten. It provides fantastic performance and is one of the best products on the market. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An industry-leading security and wireless solution packaged in one box What is most valuable? Unlike the Cisco solution that needs a dedicated wireless controller outside of a firewall, SonicWall has everything in one box. Fortinet is close to it. What needs improvement? We have a lot of overlapping wireless networks with a lot of cheap equipment that does not run on any rules or regulations. The best way to improve the wireless network, like in SonicWaves, is to defeat these networks by isolating, preventing them, or overcoming their wireless signal. We try to do that, but I live near an airport, and the AirPortRadar glitches my wireless network every nine seconds. For how long have I used the solution? I have been selling SonicWall SonicWave Access Points for 30 years. How are customer service and support? Whenever I asked for SonicWall support, I had great support, technical references, and the solution. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy. The installation takes around five minutes. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing of the SonicWave Access Points solution is different in the US and Brazil. In the US, the solution is priced more competitively than other vendors. In Brazil, the exchange rate is a problem. To address this, SonicWall managers in Brazil are running several sales promotions and improving the price of new units. What other advice do I have? We make our customers SonicWall clients. We have a solution package: If you have a contract to network with us, we will deliver SonicWall firewalls, access points, VPN clients, and all the other equipment with the SonicWall solution. We have been selling this solution for the past 30 years. We had a customer three months ago struggling with a Fortinet solution. We convinced them that the Fortinet solution would not work perfectly during renewal. We made a bet and delivered SonicWall equipment for free for one week, and if they had no more issues, they would buy it. That's precisely what happened. The customer ended up purchasing an $80,000 SonicWall solution. The SonicWall SonicWave Access Points are a good product compared to Cisco, Sophos, and Fortinet. In Brazil, Ruckus is taking market share in some key areas, such as hotels and hospitals. They are into big solutions with thousands of access points. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
