The U8000F didn’t just change my TV; it fundamentally changed how I interact with my home entertainment. ?The most jarring, life-altering difference is the Crystal Processor 4K. It’s not just about native 4K content, which is predictably gorgeous; it’s the way this processor breathes new life into everything else. My classic movies and standard HD streams now look sharper and more dimensional than I ever thought possible on a budget-friendly set. The combination of 4K upscaling and the Color Booster feature creates a palette so vibrant and deep, it feels like colors are physically leaping off the screen. The picture and video quality are outstanding. I had someone purchase an LG for me at one point, but I did not care for it. Before that, I had owned a Samsung TV, and returning to Samsung has only confirmed why I prefer their products. I’ve long been a fan of Samsung, from TVs and phones to tablets and computer monitors. When the time comes to purchase appliances, I plan to choose Samsung for those as well.

The home screen "Smart Hub" is the absolute worst and it makes me hate this TV. In fact, I loathe it with a passion. The hub is cluttered and full of recommendations that I cannot remove. I want to see my downloaded apps so that I can launch them as needed. I do not want recommendations. I do not want banners with inappropriate content at 85" up for my children when we just turn on the TV. I can set parental parameters, but then I've got boxes with a stock photo of a lock. The navigation for settings is clunky and things are buried in miles of tiles that I just don't care about. I wish we hadn't bought it. I wish we had returned it. Do not leave LG for a Samsung.

The picture quality isn't much of an improvement from my 2019 Samsung but I am satisfied with it because it has a lot more features. Only problems I had was when setting it up. The picture to show what way the feet went in the bottom looks like they go in the other way. The back of the TV is loose on the bottom but it works fine. I would still recommend it for the price and it is well worth the money. Also works great with Samsung 5.1.2 Soundbar.

It's large size makes it easy to view from the kitchen since we have an open floor plan. I love this TV.
