Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart TV/wifi issues the tv is great! picture is great! however it will not stay connected to the wireless wifi and its in the same room as the modem. i have other streaming devices that stay connected i just didn’t want to use a device on a tv with smart technology built in to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont Buy A Samsung TV i purchased a 8 series / 65 inch curved tv a little over 3 years ago. i have loved it up until recently a dark spot spacing top to bottom in the middle of the screen appeared. i mounted the tv when i bought it in the only acceptable spot in the living room and it hasn''t moved since, so its not like it was damaged or anything. now obviously the warranty is out of date, but this is something that should not happen. when i call c.s. they tell me to do picture test or reset which doesn''t help and theres nothing else they can do. upon researching online, this is a known issue with this model. just for comparison, i have had a TV from another company for nearly 15 years that still works fine. my family, friends, and i are now done with this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor costumer service when i boutgh this tv, i was excited because i always wants a samsung smart tv, i bouth it but i keep it in the box for a month becuase i was moving to a new house, when i moved i installed the tv set it up all good, after a few months star to have problems with the wifi, the tv didnt recognize any wifi network.. i bought this tv from brandsmart usa.. a technitian from brandsmart come to my house and change the wifi card and it works for a few weeks but still having the same problems, the only way the tv have internet is via ethernet...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broke right after warranty expired bought this tv february 2021 and it broke on october 2022 a few months after warranty expired. out of the blue there was purple and green lines across the screen. customer service was not helpful at all. very disappointing since my vizio lasted about 8 years until i sold it and it was still going strong

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this TV through amazon tv needs replaced too often if you use hdmi. grey spots show up all over the tv picture, and any kind of help from samsung was just adjust the brightness ; which made it worse by turning down the brightness. color is fine watching their samsung online tv , but black and white backgrounds or the basic samsung home screen just has grey spots all the time. which is perfect for them that it started happening just as the warranty expired. i bough t the tv april 10, 2021 ; and the grey spots started happening in december 2021 ; wasn't even a year for me. their warranty expired in november 2021.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful picture that grabbed my attention a beautiful picture for an led tv at a price above many not so good led tvs, but less than near qled tvs. i don't rely on tv speakers, but this tv knew the parameters necessary to easily connect, operate and use my high end sound system. the tv supports well beyond the apps i use. my only disappointment is the need to reboot the tv every two or three days once it freezes (no blue screen of death!) to regain control of the tv (support services did tell me of this remedy).

In January of 2023, maybe December of 2022 I noticed some bright streaks of light that travel vertically from the bottom of the screen. After doing some online research, I discovered that it would take a qualified technician to diagnose the problem. I purchased the tv for approximately 2500.00 dollars new, I find it difficult to believe that a tv that cost that much would only last 5 years and 8 months. Before purchasing this tv I was a huge Samsung fan, however with the purchase of this tv and the amount of time it took to develop this problem, I am reconsidering purchasing another Samsung product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed after a year (After warranty expires) this was a great tv until it wasn’t. first failure was wireless wi-fi and remote stoped working. had service out for a $100 out of pocket. they thought changing the small receiver on front of tv ($65) would fixit but it did not. they said only other isue could be the main board ($600 w/labor & another visit). i said no thanks. so i now own a not so smart tv that is hard wired and working using a 3rd party remote. recently tv started to turn itself on at random intevals so now i have to unplug when not using. iimagine just a matter of time before it completely fails. never had these issues with sony tvs in 40 years of ownership.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to service Twice screen would go dark, you could tell there was something on but you could barely make it out. first time they sent someone out to service it they replaced some chip. it worked just long enough to get me out of warranty. the next service they had to replace the entire screen unit. they still honored their warranty and i didn't have to pay extra, but it was still a hassle and i was without a television for weeks. my other samsung smart tv was purchased in 2013 and still works great. not sure why all the new stuff is worse, i thought technology was supposed to get better?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful picture when it works. i bought this tv in november 2020. out of the box it worked fine for about a month. then, the backlight started failing. i pulled it out from the wall to start trouble shooting and to check connections and the picture flickered on and off. i tapped the back of the tv and the backlight came on. this has happened repeatedly ever since. i have been dealing with samsung on this topic without any satisfaction. i have been treated as though i don't know what i am talking about. i have sent videos to them. i have spent hours on the phone with them. it's been months. no repair man has shown up. no offer to replace the defective device. i gave it one star because i could not give it zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless programing i upgraded from my samsung 45” tv to this one, and wow this is an excellent tv. the picture is beautiful. the sound bar is awesome. there are so many apps and channels and endless movies. i am very impressed with the whole package. and the price was unbeatable! excellent package deal. i am very happy i purchased this tv . it got delivered very fast, just a couple days. i have it mounted on my livingroom wall with a heavy duty wall mount that extends, swivels, and tilts. it way cool. i really wanted to get the 3d glasses but couldn’t afford them yet. i’m looking forward to watching a 3d movie on one of these smart tv’s. i would highly recommend this tv to everybody. great deal. very impressive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed so disappointed to purchase this 2020 smart tv just to have it not be compatible with the 2020 tuscan family hub refrigerator (rf28r7551dt) we purchased last month. you would think that samsung would have it together enough to make all 2020 devices compatible with one another. assuming that same year devices (regardless of the model you go with) are compatible is something people should not do...lesson learned.

Apps R terrible. in doing my research, i had read that the samsung remote were difficult, but i had no idea a remote cold be this bad! who knew not all brands of tv's carry all apps. i figured a smart tv could download any app. nope! samsung's can't download the peacock app, to mention one in particular. and when the tv is turned on, or you switch from smart tv to cable, the banner covers 50% of the screen and stays there for what seems like forever! i would rethink buying a samsung knowing what i know today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my already lofty expectation! the television arrived three days after i ordered it; and it arrived in pristine condition. setting up the television was super easy; and the picture was exquisite! hands down the best hd tv that i have ever owned; and i have owned them all from olevia, to panasonic, to vizio, to sharp, to lg. i simply cannot adequately convey just how pleased i am with this samsung crystal uhd; it simply provides an incredible viewing/entertainment experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV died in about 10 days this is a beautiful tv. great color, perfect size and features. it also died 10 days after i brought it home and set it up. while watching tv, i happened to be holding the remote in my hand and it vibrated and then the tv went off. it now cycles on and off, and thats it. have talked to samsung, and supposedly a repair person will come this week to fix the tv in my home. honestly, i’ll believe it when i see it. extremely disapointing. but, it was fantastic for 10 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Picture & Great TV i did a lot of research before buying because i wanted a quality tv with a great picture at a reasonable price. was feeling overwhelmed so went into the store and spoke with a salesperson who helped me make the decision to go with this tv. the picture is incredible and bright and crisp. the smart features are really good and easy to use. setup takes less than 5 minutes. i've always used a sounds bar, so can't give any input into the tv speakers, but i highly recommend this tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing, Just Amazing! i've only had my tv for 2 weeks now but i love it! i hooked it up to my old bose cinemate gs series ii home theater system which is about 13 years old and it works great. just an fyi i had to purchase a digital to analog audio adapter cost about $20. unless i would not be able to use my old system with my new technology tv. over all the picture is great, size is perfect and i love that i can connect to the internet so easliy! got this tv on sale for $649 and i have no regrets. but only that my 7 year old has already mastered a lot of the features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sonos Home Theater Soundbar Incompatible samsung and sonos to confirm that samsung tvs specifically have known issues with hdmi-cec e-arc compatibility with the tv sending an audio signal to the soundbar. the beam works otherwise with all other wifi synced speakers and only connects to the samsung tv for a few minutes before dropping. help! firmware update? cec settings? i have turned on hdmi earc anynet settings, played with auto signal detection settings, of course plugged it into the designated e-arc input, changed hdmi cables, ordered a samsung compatible arc compatible hdmi cable on amazon (it's on its way), and plugged and unplugged other hdmi devices in case they were interfering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just wow! we saved up so we can finally buy a larger tv than a 55 in. we purchased the 65-in. this tv is so big and wide and tall and we absolutely love the picture quality. unbelievable. i definitely don't have to wear glasses to see our tv anymore! i was surprised at how lightweight the tv really is. worth it to pay the extra to have best buy geek squad hook it up. wished we had done that thinking it would be easy to do it on our own. it was but with a little difficulty programming it at first. i suggest paying the extra to have geek squad come out and hook it up in your home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Perfect the quality of my new samsung 65" 8 series is incredible. viewing the tv shows now seems like the people on the screen are actually in the same room as me. the fact that you have your own tv provider as well as other apps like netflix or amazon prime is standard, but with samsung you also get the samsung tv plus channels. i was not aware and so it through me at first. not knowing where these channels were coming from. i adapted quickly and enjoy the added opportunities for viewing. the sound from the samsung tv is much better quality than my old tv's. the motion rate is 120 with a 60htz native rate. that gives you a smooth picture because it adjusts to the rate that is needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase Wonderful TV i have had the tu8000 65 inch tv for approximately 2 weeks. it has a great accurate bright picture. the search features and tuning features are seamless they work so well. it has option of using bixby, google, or alexa for voice control and content search. it is a grest product easy setup took about 10 minutes from unboxing to setup and watching. i think if you are considering a new tv with a budget this is an amazing choice. i would recommend this tv to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smartthings app this tv is amazing the model 8000 65 inch the picture is amazing the sound is amazing the internet connection is ok if your internet connection is far from your tv get an extender call your service provider about one! i also had someone come out and install my wall mount and set up my tv for me and made sure everything was working before they left! ie:sound,picture,cable,internet,apps. if you sign into samsung account you get free samsung tv on your tv with internet connection! the reason for 4 stars smartthings app doesn't work on my samsung tablet 6 since it doesn't have cellular connection its only wifi! it works on my unlocked phone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great all around i see a lot of the negative reviews reference dark spots in the corners and that the resolution isnt as good as expected. well, when it comes to the dark spots im gonna go on a limb here and say while unboxing the tv and mounting it or putting it on a tv stand it probably wasnt handled with the best of care. if youre having resolution issues its probably not really the tv but more your cable provider and or type of internet speed you run. i run 300mbps and the picture is great! another thing i see people complaining about is when you view the tv from the side or at a bad angle it doesnt look good. well yeah, no duh it doesnt look great from the side lol! ive been buying samsung for almost 15 years and i have never had any of my purchases

Software is terrible. saftware and interface is terrible and doesnt' work. took forever to get this unit setup - over an hour before i could watch anything at all and i am still not able to install apps. there were login issues, the tv would tell me i wasn't connected to the internet for some things but not others. software is excruciatingly slow and the set-up on the smartthings app simply does not work. the response to anything is slow (using a wired ethernet connection so they can't blame my wifi). apps will not install on the tv, you choose install and nothing happens - it looks like it is going to do something and then it just goes back to give you the install choice again and again. i am in the it field, and i would be fired if i released software that works like this...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not good for streaming hulu we purchased a new samsung 65" chrystal uhd tv because we had several issues with our other samsung qled that couldn't be fixed by the experts at samsung or the repair men that attempted to fix it. needless to say we had the same issue with the new tv. we ended up bringing it back that same night and purchased a different brand cause we are not dealing with several phone calls or repair men trying to fix it. we had issues streaming hulu. this tv is not made for streaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working Person's TV if your the average american working person, and you want great tv that doesn't cost you thousands of dollars. this is the tv. the picture is fantastic on it. i recommend movie mode. i'm a av guy as my second job. and i see and hear a lot of equipment. i would have given it 5 stars,but the interface is a little slow at time. i'm connected ethernet, and i have 200 plus down speed. i notice when opening shows in the amazon app that is lags a bit. but that might be the developer of the app faut. the interface doesn't know what xfinity flex is yet. you'll have to use the remote that comes with the flex box. also,make sure you get a good 2.0 hdmi cable if your running into a receiver. my first night is was having buzzing issues and audio drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Audio problems galore picture fantastic. best buy service fabulous. we really, really wanted to keep this tv, but the audio problems made us return it. before buying, do yourself a fabor and google audio problems. we tried everything. bought new hdmi and new optical cables. reset audio. reset tv to factory in order to get updates. we studied and studied and tried everything we found. the audio “falls out” intermitently some times we could go for a day ir so with no problems. then the drops would happen for no apparent reason. best buy people worked with us and helped us. we could never fix it. we returned it on last eligible day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Picture and interface the blacks are terrible and there are white marks all around the tv. especially top left and bottom. samsung replaced the entire screen and the same problem happened. on top of that, there is now a buzzing noise from the speakers after the screen was replaced. i am currently waiting for them to exchange the whole tv. i have read that these white spots are a common problem with this tv. i have always been loyal samsung fan but i will stay away from them. avoid this tv at all costs and no settings can make this tv be any better. customer service has been pretty decent. but if the exchange doesn't fix all my problems i will be disputing with my cc company. this tv is an inferior product and samsung knows it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't buy another samsung tv. this is actually my second tv. the first one was damaged out of box. when i got the replacement i was excited but i quickly found some flaws that i dislike. one tizen is extremely slow to respond, like it's a computer stuck on dial up. some apps don't use the full force of network bandwidth. i use sling and streaming with it wired in the app is only getting 8mbs! smart things took ten times to set up then once it was they kept having some kind of communication issue and no longer will see eachother. when i bought it it had a 120hz sticker on it but it doesn't actually run in 120hz it's 120 motion rate which in 4k is 60 hz. worst part about it being a samsung screen? it's backlight is horrendous and i have bright spots on the edge of my screen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remote? absolutely love this tv. picture so sharp, i feel like i can reach out and touch the actors. that said, connecting the remote is odd to say the least. it does the tv fine. oddly, it turns on soundbar and works it fine until you turn it off. it turns the tv off but not the soundbar. also won't turn the cable box on or off. does all the functions of the box, but again will not turn in on or off. i'm still having to use 3 remotes?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from “TV BROKE SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE”!!!!!!!! Meanwhile my family and I can’t enjoy time together watching tv!!!! Since our tv started malfunctioning a week before the manufacturer warranty expired, which we hadn’t owned the tv for even a year!! Figured well we will just file a claim and I’m sure samsung will fix it at no cost, since that’s what the manufacture year long warranty is for, so I called excessively trying to resolve the issue & ended up being told I basically pay out of pocket for everything in other words I may pay more then what my tv is worth!!! My wife was severly sick with covid 19 and was in the hospital for a couple days, when she returned home she didn’t quarentine comfortable because we have no functioning “samsung tv”!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good TV it's a good functional tv. nothing spectacular,but is all around good. we've had it two weeks and it has had no issues. it replaced a 50" samsung that had a broken screen. everything transfered effortlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Quality after researching several brands, we purchased the samsung series 8 4k uhd 65”. it is a great television for watching movies and sports. we also added a samsung soundbar and wolfer for a great theater sound. the best value on the market at best buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality i just bought the 65" and set it up. simple to use, quality is great. the issue i'm experiencing is there is a yellowish tint when there's white. i've tried playing with the setting to fix this issue but have not come up with a solution. i almost thought this was the perfect tv. its too good to be true!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent picture quality there are a few things that disappoint me about this tv. first, when using the optical audio output, the volume control is non-functional... this causes problems when trying to use a bluetooth transmitter to enable the use of wireless earbuds. second: unlike an older samsung smart tv i own, the new os (tizen) cannot play a large number of videos i have on an external disk drive. this is an important feature, for me, and might cause me to consider other manufacturers when buying a new tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not buy Had this tv for less than 3 years and same problem everyone else is saying with picture going out. This is the answer I got. The approximate cost would be around $450 - $500, and it might be higher or lower depend on the parts required and the service fee.
