Rated 5 out of 5 by from DU8000 Great basic tv Got this as our bedroom tv. The living room tv was also a samsung quantum hd tv. This one is better because the remote is rechargeable by light or usb-c. The processor is also faster and menu is more intuitive unlike the first one where i had to use a roku device to make it faster and simpler. As to the picture quality, there is some light bleed but for the price i kind of expected that, as this model is one step above the basic model.

Being a member of Best Buy's Geek Squad service, I called scheduled a repair, and discovered it would be about the same cost to get a new tv. The technician brought the new tv out the same week and had it installed in no time. The new tv took some time to figure out as all of the settings and start up had changed since my last tv. The picture is great and operation is easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Duped and Disappointed I needed a new TV and wanted one compatible with the Philips Hue sync app/hue lights. I learned that only Samsung TVs were compatible with the app. I decided to buy a Samsung TV for this reason and spent time confirming that the TV I was about to purchase was compatible with the Hue Sync app. At the time of my purchase Samsung specified that any TV of 2022 and newer was compatible. I purchased the TV, and for about 6 weeks the app worked with my TV and lights with no problem, it was a great feature. But then, one day I turned on my TV and a notification popped up stating that the Hue Sync app had been removed from my TV. It is no longer available to download when I search and I can no longer use the app. I received no notification prior that this was going to happen. So, shortly after I purchased the TV, Samsung updated the "compatibility" so that only higher tier TVs are compatible with the app. I'm very disappointed as this is simply greed. It's not that my TV isn't compatible, it's that Samsung decided it should no longer be compatible because they want people to buy a more expensive TV. I spoke with Hue and they confirmed that Samsung had removed the app from certain TVs, it was not Philips/Hue's doing. Samsung was not able to restore the app on my TV. If this had happened in the return window I would have gotten a compatible TV from Samsung, or potentially just returned it and gotten a different brand. Unfortunately though, I am now stuck with the TV and a disdain for Samsung.

This Smart TV was easy for me ( a 77 year old senior citizen ) to set up; the on-screen instructions were excellent. I am enjoying the vivid colors of this TV. My only issue is the two support legs. I had the 2 men setting it together place the legs so that the TV would be about 4-5 inches above the console. However, after 2 days, the left support moved to its lowest setting, and 2 days later, the right support leg did the same.

Picture delivers good quality. What I don't like is that every time I turn it on, it defaults to fireTV instead of my being able to switch to my cable feed automatically. Also, although I may be behind technology, no headphone jack is bothersome for my older headphone hookup.

Scanning the on screen QR codes during set up caused my Samsung phone to lock up even though I didn't have a lock screen activated. I could never get the phone unlocked and ended up having to buy a new one!

Checked with WiFi provider for speed and cell phone speed is 10x faster than tv. Husband called PC Richard & Son and was given a number for service. Someone coming on Tuesday.

I purchased it in November 2024 and had to file a manufacturer’s warranty claim by January 2025 (less than 2 months later) because a thick black line repeatedly appeared and disappeared on the right side of the screen, obstructing my view of the picture. A technician came to my home, took the tv away for servicing for over a week and when it was returned, I experienced the very same issue as soon as my apps were up and running again. Sadly, I’ve purchased what I considered to be lower end televisions in the past (i.e. Vizio, LG, etc.) for roughly the same price with much better performance so this may be the last Samsung TV I buy going forward.

Streaming services work well with only limitations caused by internet slowdown. It’s still up and running. No complaints and when my parents were looking for a new TV, I helped them pick and setup another Samsung TV

Once you get used to it it's simple to navigate through the options. You can buy a second remote for less than $20.I only shop Samsung now....good picture and a good price.

This TV has been amazing, easy to set up plenty of preloaded apps and options, vivid color, very consistent with the sound and volume, easy to click through from one app to another. For someone who isn’t tech savvy this has been as close to set it and forget it as I could have hoped for. Thanks Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I expected Some background: I am 75, I have had Samsung tablets and phones since 2006. When my 55" Vizio died, I purchased a 50" Samsung because it was a great deal. But it drives me crazy. Only a few of the icons are loaded and I have to search if I want to watch something, like Pluto or Classic Movies+. I still haven't found the space key in the search screen. Over all it is a good TV, the picture and sound are great. It's just not user friendly.

It doesn't come with detailed instructions, navigating to my streaming channels is a chore, the menu display is small and difficult to organize and the remote itself is tiny. Wish I'd gotten a tutorial from the salesperson.

The only thing need to improve is please update the program more frequently. Not just every couple of month. And if you can add sport live even better. Like world cup. UEFA. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tv is amazing I've had my 55" Class Crystal UHD DU8000 for over 1 month (5 weeks to be exact) and I absolutely love it. It was extremely easy to set up, I have my roku & nintendo switch connected. My picture is crystal clear, I wanted this tv mainly for motion xcelerator feature, and I love the way my tv looks. I feel like I was cheating myself out of a better visual quality all these years. Samsung has definitely upgraded this feature b/c about 4 years ago I had a tv with this feature and it made me dizzy, and I returned it; happy I tried it again. The audio is perfect I never have to go pass 45, I don't really use the Samsung tv part because I have a roku, but when I was testing it out it was cool I've been using Roku for so long I prefer that. So if you're looking for an upgrade highly recommend this tv 10/10.

No way to customize. b) Pressing Home button stops current viewing and you must re-select viewing option. c) Could use a little more technical information. d) User Manual needs a major overhaul. Samsung should spend some money to contract an 'User Interface Analyst' to redesign the User Guide. e) Have the User community test the manual. f) Very unclear/cumbersome to add an APP and perform other tasks.g) Remote control could have been larger to accommodate the elderly and people with mobility issues. h)

Factory remote is way too small and awkward.... Channel selection and favorite listing is difficult and you have made the tv to smart, allowing it to think for me.. KISS..

It has taken over two weeks to get a replacement and it is supposed to deliver today. I’m not even sure if the correct remote has been sent. I gotta say. I am disappointed to say the least. If the replacement remote doesn’t last longer than the first one did my Samsung purchases will cease.

It took a long time for me to figure out how to set that up routinely without having to interrupt whatever we were watching to re set it. Even now last evening it just out of the blue shut down the iPods in the middle of a movie.

Darker picture when viewing from the side than last Samsung TV we purchased. The remote is too small and much more difficult to use (no numbers, any signs on the remote not colored enough). Will look to see if there is a replacement remote that is easier to use. All areas with controls are too small.

It’s a great size, has fantastic picture quality, and because it’s Samsung, it integrates with my other Samsung devices easily such as my Samsung soundbar, or displaying messages when my Samsung washer/dryer complete their cycles, etc. Even the remote ‘self charges’ constantly having a solar back to it that keeps it charged all the time without ever having to change the batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I am very disappointed in this tv. The picture is not great and the sound and how you adjust it is horrible. The “mini” remote is poorly done and complicated. I would return but so much bother to pack up etc. Does not compare to my old Toshiba.

I'm not an electronic guru, and the setup instructions were severely lacking. After I finally got it to function, it would shut down after about 1/2 hour. I was getting ready to return it and my son got it to stay on! SO - watch out if you don't have a youngster to help you get it going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from T.V Great . Customer service not so much I've purchased nothing but Samsung Tv's .This is my 14th. My issue is not with the television as much as it is with custemer service. My remote stopped working ,no lights ,nothing . I called custemer service and spent almost an hour trying re-sets ,reprograms ,unplugging the tv etc. Finally she wanted me to take the television off the wall to take pictures of the production numbers on the back.i explained it was flush mounted and that was not an easy task. At that point she told me she was unable to help me any further. I explained that the remotes from a few of my other samsungs work on this tv. Issue was a bad remote . It was 2 months old .I purchased a new one online .Problem solved .This was poor customer service . Not wise to risk lossing a loyal customer over a $30.00 remote . Disappointing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good picture and otherwise a good tv. My first tv lasted under one month. It would not go on. We did all the troubleshooting. Nothing worked. Was on the phone with customer service for over an hour. Still nothing. Ended up returning for an exchange . Replacement delivered and one week later same thing happened. The problem is that the connection wiring from back of tv to the wall outlet. This was found out by mistake when we touched the back of the tv connection and the screen came on. We believe the plug going into the tv is not a secure fit. We had to secure the plug by using a covering of tape to hold the plug in place. I think Samsung should be aware and fix this issue.

Their lack of concern is beyond belief. The repair center they recommended won’t return my calls or even Samsungs calls. And still I have a malfunctioning product and no answers up to this point.

The TV changes channels by itself right in the middle of a program. It doesn’t connect well with apps, especially Paramount +.The picture gets grainy after watching for several hours and a lot of times won’t refresh. If I could still return it I would. Would NOT recommend this TV to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice picture. Overall good. Overall quite satisfied. Dark scenes have very low contrast, expect that from this type of TV The only real complaint is Samsung TV Plus. This app autostarts with a random channel. It is impossible to control or to remove. The only way I can live with it is to turn on parental controls and block everything. The TV still autostarts with Samsung TV plus, but is unable to play anything. Samsung, please give customers control over this app!

The picture is nice, however there appears to be a limitation on the volumn and depending on what I am watching it can be hard to hear the shows. Really didn't expect to need a sound system to watch tv. Also not fond of the home menu. Compared to the previous QLED I had, the menu/remote seems clunky and can be frustrating to find what you are hunting for without having to go back to home multiple times.

It gets hrs and hrs of use a day and no issues with over heat or weird lines on the screen. When I bought this TV it leveled my gaming set up quite a bit from the little 30in tv that was not even 4k hahah.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY DO NOT BUY. If you have an older model Samsung (before 2024, keep it. I bought a 2024 one and have done nothing but regret it since then. Previously, I owned a Samsung (without so called Smart Things) that was great. Smart Things ruins all in this tv. I moved and had to give up that old Samsung and got a good price on a Toshiba. Greatest TV I ever owned. User friendly, great remote, no complaints. We moved again and had to give up that TV. Our son has an older Samsung and convinced us to buy this 2024. It has been nothing but a problem. Hard to navigate, small non easy to read remote and definitely difficult to use with our computers. Would never buy Samsung again.

To have the privilege of owning a 55-in is awesome however my only complaint on the TV is the TV Guide it has never loaded 100% so that you can see what is about to come on you always have to click on that page or that channel and for it to pop in but all in all I love my TV thank you

Particularly for an antenna (not cable) user like me, this set has annoying interface issues. Let's start with the remote. It's very basic, requiring scrolling to change channels...no direct access. There are other limitations of the remote, such as not being able to access the channel guide. I was able to work around those limits by buying an inexpensive aftermarket remote on Amazon that has direct access channel keys and a Guide button. Like most modern TV sets, when this set is turned on it defaults to a home screen. For over-the-air or Samsung TV channels, each time the set is turned on it displays a random Samsung TV channel, not the last channel viewed. For streaming, I've had trouble either getting or accessing all of the apps that I need. For example, Britbox won't display on the app list, but can be accessed by voice remote. Paramount seems to be unavailable entirely. On most sets that I have experienced previously, the external inputs function in isolation. Not so here. When I try accessing some of those missing apps on a Roku stick, the main interface tries to merge the content causing a freeze-up or other problems. Discovering what was going on with that conflict was annoying and time consuming. With the exception of the app limitations, a cable TV user will likely be more satisfied with this model. For those using an external antenna and streaming, I recommend purchasing a third-party remote control. While I gave this set 4 stars, if I could it would be a 3.5 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV, Poor Remote I absolutely love this TV, the features, clarity of picture, ease to attach external units, all great! The only issue I have is the remote that comes with it. The thing is "solar powered" but can also be charged via a USB-C cord. Having said this, it is always slow to react with the TV, especially noticeable when trying to conduct a search and it cannot activate the letters. It has no ability to fast forward/reverse outside of 10 second intervals, and the volume button must be pushed for each increment rather than holding down to lower/raise the volume. Must admit, I have had name calling deep discussions with it (out of earshot of anyone ??).
