Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Picture Quality This television was a great purchase. I absolutely love the picture quality, the settings to make changes the way I prefer them. Setup was extremely simple. The only things I don’t like are the remote and speakers. The remote is very small and can be easily lost. The speakers are very low in sound. I found myself having to really turn up the voice high, however, I purchased a Samsung soundbar and subwoofer and that made a huge difference.

It is truly amazing and by far unmatched to any other television brands that can only try to compete towards this exceptional standard of modern day TVs. I'm an avid gamer as well as a huge movie enthusiast that wants nothing more than to own a personal television that visually captivates an audience such as myself that through unbelievable immersing intense graphics with auditory sounds speakers the connection delivers an impact I can only explain as an otherworldly experience. Until anyone actually purchases this television to see for themselves, as the saying goes "seeing is believing", then my words of descriptions alone will never do it justice. The specifications are unique and does not even come close in comparison to my LG TV if I being completely honest. I wish everyone searching for that one affordable TV that goes above and beyond could do themselves a favor and make the smart choice in selecting a Samsung as it continues to be life-changing for me which as a consumer I feel it's only right to share. So, if SamSUNG you a song while reading this. Let it be music to the ears and listen and make that smart TV choice now. ??

I also purchased a slim mounted bracket and it looks extremely nice on my wall. I would definitely recommend this tv. Picture is great quality and I hooked up surround sound using the Bluetooth feature.. Samsung have it for a great price so purchase it. You won’t be disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Mid-price TV I had a seven year old TV that was the top of the line in 2016. This old TV had an amazing picture and outstanding features. However it was not possible to download some of the newer streaming services so I wanted a TV that could. I knew it was inevitable that it would die one day. Before it did I decided to mount a second 55" set above it to be able to watch multiple sports events at the same time. Also I was looking for a TV to replace the old one when it eventually gave up the ghost. I purchased a name brand TV and placed it on top. I was amazed at how poor the colors were so I bought another name brand TV and replaced the first set. The picture and colors were better but still poor when compared to the old TV. So I bought this Samsung CU 8000 Crystal TV and mounted it above the 2016 model TV. Finally a TV with colors almost as sharp as the old TV. A TV I could live with if the old TV were to die. As if on cue the old TV, after 38,525 hours of use, was visibly dying about six weeks later. The Samsung was brought down from secondary status and became my main TV. The picture and other features make it my primary TV and I am very pleased with it. I recommend this TV to anyone looking for a TV that presents colors that are close to true and not spend a fortune to get there.

Sound and color bring out the best in movies, sports, and regularly scheduled broadcasting shows. I can listen with ear buds at times if I do not want to disturb or be disturbed by people talking. I definitely recommend this TV to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Issues I bought my tv about 2 weeks ago at Best Buy with the 2 year Geek Squad plan. Have had issues with the tv losing the signal on occasion. Seemed to happen mostly in the morning. Would work fine the rest of the day, mostly. Had cable company come out and checked all my equipment and it was fine. I called the Geek Squad...no help. Went on YouTube and one site said to unplug tv for at least one minute (said to make sure to do the full minute, or you could it overnight) Seems to be working better, for now. Fingers crossed. Otherwise tv is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed I bought this brand new TV 3 weeks ago for my father. I have a Samsung Series 8 TV that I bought 4 years ago and it works like a charm. So I said to myself, my father needs a new TV and mine is great so I’ll buy him the same one. Man was this a major mistake. First let me start by admitting that the picture and sound quality are fantastic. Crystal clear and he loves it. It is connected to a cable box and we have no problem watching the TV together on the cable box. The problem is with the apps. EVERY SINGLE APP we installed freezes and crashes while we try to stream shows and sporting events. My father is not technologically savvy, so I tried to buy a TV that was very straightforward, and didnt need much explaining. He simply wants to open the app, turn on the show or sporting event that he wants to watch, and watch it. We’re really not asking a lot, but apparently when it comes to Samsung, this IS a lot to ask for. I called customer service for an explanation as to why this is happening and we went through the troubleshooting and that did not help. The woman on the phone explained that while the TV was under warranty, if the technician came out and found no fault with the TV, we would be charged. Obviously there is a problem with the TV otherwise I wouldnt have called!! What is the point of a warranty if we’re just going to be charged behind our backs anyway? I am extremely disappointed with this TV and Samsung in general. Suffice it to say, we will NEVER buy another Samsung product again, and will NEVER suggest anyone buy a Samsung product. We replaced our old TV with this one because the picture was starting to fade. It is the biggest mistake I’ve ever made and I’m absolutely disgusted. I plan on throwing this TV out immediately and buying a new one. I want to thank you for wasting my money and my time, but sure enough this will never happen again because we will never be purchasing another Samsung product again. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for manufacturing such a terrible TV.

However, when turning on the set there are an unbelievable amount of cluttering choices for cartoons, violent videos, Netflix, Hulu, Disney junk,, and so on. ALL DISPLAYED. A giant totally cluttered screen ! All I need is 'On and Off' with channel selection and volume control. The rest gets so off base that my wife only touches On or Off. Any misstep and the TV is out of control without lots of buttons to try to get back to a desired channel. Could the satellite reception have a part in this constant confusion? Our other slightly older "Smart Samsung" has the same connections, but no opening trash or confusing control choices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV with many small problems It’s a 55” advertisement. Links to the Samsung store! Icons on the app bar that you cannot remove that say sponsored right below them. I paid ~$500 for this TV, I wonder what the sponsor paid! Hulu app work differently than my old Hisense. Once you go back to the Home Screen it closes out to the main menu when returning. Hisense let you resume a show from where you left off. I wasn’t a big fan of how it detected my Xbox X , but it actually runs fine. The remote is a little small and lacking , and sensitive tossing it on a cushion could cause it to mute the volume.

Easily sets up and I was ready to watch my new TV in minutes. Didn't need any help from the husband either. I surprised him with it for this years football watching. We previously had a 35 in our living room and since moving, we needed a larger screen. While shopping for our new TV we had looked at several and almost bought a different brand until we compared them side to side. Samsung had all the features we were looking for. I'm big on sleep timers, can't afford to leave it on all night anymore. Thank you Samsung for making a GREAT product at a reasonable price.

I am able to navigate the menus very quickly with rarely any slow downs. The ability to control third party devices from the TV is amazing! Hands down I would recommend this TV to anyone who wants a nice upgrade in their entertainment space. 10/10.

Regular watching, games, sports...it is all brilliantly displayed. 4k resolution is amazing and so realistic looking...almost 3d. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this model. You dont need to go spending a ridiculous amount of money for a quality tv..look right here and take my word for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crispy Imagery meets clumsy controls. After our flood incident, I was on the hunt for a new TV, and I ended up eyeing a Samsung 4K UHD TV. What really sold me was the picture. Seriously, I've seen my fair share of 4K TVs, but none of them popped quite like this one. The depth of the picture is something else—like peering into a crystal clear pool. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The UI? Kind of a letdown. It's a bit like they tossed all the apps into a "Games" category and called it a day. It doesn't ruin the experience, but it's like finding a sock in the silverware drawer—just feels out of place. Beyond that, the TV's pretty stacked. It's got a truckload of free channels I didn't even know existed, and getting my streaming apps hooked up was a walk in the park. So, despite the weird app placement, this Samsung TV is a solid win in my book. Also the price was on point. I purchased mine at Best Buy. It was totally worth it.

If I was buying again I would have bumped up to the QLED for better pictures during the day and depth of color. But overall I am very satisfied. I’m now seeing YouTube as a channel and love watching Apple TV. I like the voice remote to more quickly search. I like to Blue Tooth to my Bose headphones for better sound. Will ask for a Soundbar this Holiday season. Sounds fine but you need the extra speaker quality to enjoy music videos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad with Sports Must read! I got my 55” in July. Loved it, until football season came along. When the ball is thrown. It appears blurry. When players are running fast. Their arms appear blurry. This tv has issues capturing fast moving things that are common in sports. I noticed this while watching top gun but thought it was an internet thing. In certain scenes where the jet is ripping through the sky, it appears blurry. The TV can’t keep up with the fast moving object. Total bummer.

It has absolutely no problem with the streaming service and the TV plus app has everything even movies and it's 100% free! You can't beat the curved screen it makes everything your watching even better! Everything I have is samsung and I could not be happier! I highly recommend this tv!

The tv is compatible with Spectrum requiring no special additional equipment. It is top quality with a clear, precise image, even when viewing from different angles. I highly recommend Samsung TVs to anyone looking quality for a reasonable price.

Menus are well defined and intuitive and customization is adequate. TV sound is more than accepting compared to most that I looked at (seems like most units today require a sound bar to even be heard). In not a gamer, but for everything else in totally satisfied so far. Set up was quick and easy and after linking to my samsung account (I have a Samsung Galaxy phone) I was able to port over many of the appropriate appsi use on the phone. Casting to the TV from the phone was simple. I was amazed at how well this TV upscaled even old black and white TV shows and movies to incredible brightness and detail (50's & 60's TV was almost like watching in 3D! Only thing I'd add so far is the ability to have a1 button source button to switch from one input to anotheror from an HDMI source to the antenna. I compared this model dude by side with several other Samsung models (including the newest OLED and Quantum Dot technologies) as well as models from LG and TLC... this model held its own with units costing hundreds more. So far, I give it a 4.8 out of 5!

I am returning this and will purchase from a retail store. The salesman gave me incorrect information about delivery and it was a nightmare.

On my end it happened right before I had to travel for work, so the fact I had to wait to be contacted by a certified repair center meant I was unable to get it looked at within the warranty period. Customer support impossible to get a hold of without contacting a repair shop - which I’m not sure if I need or not, but probably do since none of the youtube fix tutorials i followed worked. Combined with how quickly my partners Samsung phone broke, I’ll quite actually never buy a Samsung product again, enjoy the $400 you scammed out of me I guess. I thought this was a reputable brand but I’ll stick with literally anything else.

The clarity was amazing then and it is just as clear as 18 years ago. We watched a football game at our neighbors house and they just bought a 75 inch QLED and our TV is much clearer and cleaner. We keep thinking about buying a new one, BUT WHY?

It’s video quality is flawless tge sound is amazing it’s had only logged 1 time since I had it. It’s easy to navigate through apps and it’s so smart and easy to use I absolutely love my tv if ever in the future I should order a bigger size it has to be this model

For any regular user, accuracy of colors has no point, you just want a good picture and this does it well. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the HUB can be slow sometimes.

On the other hand the picture quality is inpressive.Long time the TV has better picture quality.but switching between input do take some time.On the other hand the TV is pretty good.

This tv was a replacement for the one I have that got killed by a power surge caused by lightning. The picture is absolutely beautiful. The full 4k uhd is the best picture quality ever! The wireless internet and streaming is fantastic and it will connect to the phone and the phone will control the tv! Samsung tvs are the best I highly recommend them to everyone!

I even played back an old movie that I thought looked better on this TV than it did in the theatre. Wow. I liked the two USB ports, and the mic built into the solar powered remote control. What I didn't like - I can't seem to get the timeshift to work. It won't pause live TV like my old roku. I tried using several different kinds of thumbdrives and external drives, but it just didn't take. I also didn't like that I could not get two of my favorite apps - History Vault and AMC+. But I can get those in the bedroom on another tv so all's not lost, but I really do love the picture on this Samsung. As George T would say "Ohhh Wowww!"

Great TV for them since they are not high tech and just need a good TV with a great image and decent sound. May not compare to my Q900 series but it has everything you need. No need for a streaming device since all the apps and Samsung TV service work just perfectly. Just connect to the internet via Wi-Fi and you are good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This has been my favorite TV so far! I upgraded from a 40" Samsung to the 55" and it was worth it! I use my tv for the basic streaming (love Samsung's smart features) but I also use it for my playstation 5 and cast my devices easily to it. Overall Samsung is my go to brand for many things but I don't know how anyone can beat their tvs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture and good color We are happy with our Samsung. This is our 4th One. Our only problem is with REMOTE. There us no light and the writing is way too Small for seniors!!! We don’t like the volume and channel changer that you push instead of press down. Picture is good and sound is ok! Paramount is always shutting down. We paid for no commercials on Peacock and still get them. Samsung help line is professional and respectful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV for hdr or sd gaming/movies!! I’ve never had an issue with quality, speed or navigation. The features are extremely user and easy to remember. The only issue that I can say is the brightness isn’t great for movies with dark scenes but it’s something that I’ve learn to look past. Simply put, it’s a great choice for shows, movies or gaming. I would look into the OLED models if you want higher quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture clarity and sound. Great picture quality, great for view sports and movie. Also the sound quality is great when gaming. It also afford easy connectivity with other Samsung device with the smartthing app. I can control the TV from other room using my samsung phone.

Replaced 8 year old 1080 p now unfortunately I am watching more movies I do not have time The wife loves the sound. She can hear the voice better. Too , many bad and gross movies out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow processor and poor audio I bought a 55" CU8000 to replace my previous 55" TU7000 and, right of the box, it requires way more tuning to achieve good color balance and response to fast changing images. Still, there is no much improvement. Pictures are sharpen but the TV cannot handle fast changes well like the TU7000. The speaker enclosure and speakers response has diminished. No matter what you do, lacks of good bass and volume. The home screen is overwhelmingly populated with information that cannot not be hidden. Lastly, the remote has gone beyond simple to inconvenient. Luckily, the old remotes work on new TV models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead pixels in bottom corner I bought this tv 2/24/24 at BB. This is my first 4K tv. Picture quality is great, it looks like you can reach out and touch the people on screen. My biggest issue is the cluster of DEAD pixels in the bottom right corner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture. The picture is great on the TV, especially for the price point and that the TV is. For a lcd TV I was quite impressed. The downside and really my only complaint is the remote, which I also find to be a plus at the same time. While it is small, making it just a slight inconvenience to use, it slides into every crevase and hole there us. Entirelt to much time digging and searching for it. However, rechargeable batteries are always a win. We go through enough of those already. And with a battery life of 5 years, it should last the life of the TV in theory.
