Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love most everything about this TV pros: - picture is crystal clear. - it's flat and sits nicely on our wall.- it's not hard to learn how to use. - it has several nice features like favorites section on the main page. - would buy again. cons: - wish the home screen would not automatically start playing a tv show at the bottom when turn the tv on. my kids are young. i don't want them watching the news, yet often fox news will start playing at the bottom of the screen. - it won't let me save some apps to my favorites. it's a pain to search for them every time. - it doesn't always place nicely with netflix. - as with all smart tvs, there are some apps it doesn't support. despite these cons, i'd still recommend the tv.

I called and explain the situation through Amazon and immediately they send me other new one same model. The image and quality is great, the sound and the shape. It's my favorite brand over Sony, have three of them: 65", 55" and 42" not the Q series because my budget but are exceptional. And service is marvelous.

The picture quality is unbelievable and SO clear when watching sports or movies. I highly recommend this tv. The sound from the tv is also great, but I love using it with my soundbar.

I picked it with the help of the chat support who walked me through a great quality TV that was in my budget. The set up was super easy (less than 5 minutes from the time we opened the box) and there haven't been any issues since.

The audio crackles when connected through Bluetooth or the direct audio line. It has bloatware that you cannot delete. Great display and vivid colors. Speakers sound great when turned down low.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Features that I was not expecting moving to a 8000 This 55" TV replaced a 15 year old Samsung 50" Plasma with a Roku in the master bedroom. I have all Samsung TV's in my house including 2 65" and a 85". However the other TV's are 7000 series and for a little more money I got this one, an 8000 series. I primarily did for the ability to use voice on the remote and I prefer the simpler remote. What I liked about the set up is that since my Samsung account is on file. The TV automatically pulled across all my apps from the last TV I set up. This was a very pleasant surprise. Also, I was not expecting this, but the 8000 series is much more fluid in scrolling through different apps or changing channels in my internet based programming. I believe the processor used is much smarter/faster. Lastly, I also have this TV hooked up to an old antenna that I have all the TV's plugged into. This one pulls in way more signals than the others. I didn't think the series of the TV mattered before, but I can see the difference with the fluidity of the controls and menu items are not grayed out like they are in the 7000 series.

It works wonderfully with our Nintendo switch and lets us stream seamlessly from our IPhones and Laptops. The interface is easy to use, and it comes with tons of free Samsung channels. In bright light, you may struggle to see at some angles due to glare. However the picture really is crystal clear and the colors are vivid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size and resolution for the price I use this TV for both gaming and general viewing, and it's fairly easy to switch from different picture settings to get the best experience. The TV will occasionally revert to other settings which can be a pain, but overall the UI is pretty intuitive. I'm a bit sensitive to HFR so I also like the added options to toggle things like resolution and motion smoothing. Overall a great product!

Picture looks great and gets better between the different modes, especially in video game mode. I mainly bought the TV for the smart features, and I really enjoy the experience. I am able to move between apps and inputs quickly and seamlessly. This is a great product and I highly recommend!

Has some bleed along the edges and corners but it’s nothing too bad and imperceptible on full screen movies or sports. Letterbox shows the bleed a little. I dislike the app handling. Would prefer it arranged in a grid for easier navigation vs horizontal and scrolling LtoR. The Samsung Live TV built-in is pretty cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Warranty is NOT GOOD..worthless Samsung TV warranty WORTHLESS I purchased the Samsung AU 8000 B and it worked great nice colors, nice features, but within four months the front panel and the back light panel separated on one corner and a bug got in it should’ve been under warranty but they refused they said it was bug infested. The bug could not have ended between these panels for they are sealed yet this TV became unsealed therefore the warranty should be good but they refused, leaving me $500 out in the cold. Samsung when it comes to warranty is not good, just remember that.

So, we were out of touch with the trend that TVs has turned Smart. First Smart TV we got, and so far it exceeded our expectations: 1. Apps can be access from home screen 2. Game console are controllable with same remote (Xbox 1 is hooked up, with Switch & PS4 in the same hub) Although hard to match controller commands. 3. Close captioning (CC) a must, is choosable for TV viewing. 4. Picture can be customized and stretched from default screen 5. Sound is good without outside speakers. I still have ways to explore the Smart TV but so far I like that it's user friendly.

The picture is amazing and the volume is on muffled like some tv's. You don't have to adjust the volume when you change channels. The remote is a bit too sensitive. But that's okay because I use the cable remote.

I thought of giving it a try and fortunately this TV looks stunning. I dont know the differences between Hisense and Samsung, but I noticed the crisp picture quality, better upscaling and much more vivid colors for the same movie/video/pictures that too with a better Sound Quality, though I paid some extra bucks on this TV than Hisense. But I really liked this TV and my decision to buy it. Worth all the money spent. And then last month I bought another one of this model for my bedroom too. Worth the investment.

Takes a few minutes to set up and start getting apps installed. The sound is great as well, especially when paired with a Samsung soundbar. My only problem was the power cord was shorter than I wanted, but I was still able to get it plugged in and concealed after mounting TV to wall. Definitely recommend this TV to anyone.

I can truly appreciate all the available apps that it has being completely up to date with everything. Also my video games via the next gen consoles look beautiful. Watching a film on this TV is also very good. If I'm ever in the market for another TV I'm more than likely going to stick with Samsung televisions as I see they are the best to have.

At 75 my wife and I don’t have the best eyesight but even the best eyesight can’t find fault with this Samsung. This our first Samsung but we have two others which need replacing and there is no doubt Samsung will the uncontested, overwhelming, choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV / Gaming mode needs help My Samsung tvs great fantastic picture quality but about game setting on TV really needs attention and reprogramming, Samsung needs to fix this problem, just to make sound after game you need to unplug the HDMI and reinsert it that's a pain!!!, you should be able to switch between game mode and regular TV without having any issues, I already looked up the problem and it's a function that Samsung needs to fix. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM SO I CAN ENJOY THE FULL CAPABILITIES OF MY NEW SAMSUNG TV, sorry for the negative input but it was needed, thank you for your time, Dave F

The imagine is great but it lacks refresh rates that make the image look as life like as the picture quality is. Comparing it to a 2k monitor @144hz I prefer viewing movies on that but the monitor lacks the size. Other than that I am satisfied with quality of the device but I wish it did not have that lag in motion.

My one complaint with the Tv is that the remote is really unresponive and only works when you are stamding within 8 feet of the Tv.

The picture is bright enough during the daytime that we don not need to close the drapes. We purchased A Samsung Smart TV as our cable provider is Spectrum which is available as an app. Spectrum does not charge a monthly fee for the app which saves us $10/month on a cable box rental. We also have an Apple TV box connected. The Smart TV is also able to use Wi-Fi and with our mesh Wi-Fi router, we have no issues with connectivity or bandwidth.

We mostly use it for streaming movies and videos and gaming. We were impressed with the picture quality, even on upscaled content that's not originally 4k looks great, and of course 4k movies look amazing!

I have the new ps5 and this smart tv recognizes the game being plugged in. The tv has a feature called game mode that automatically turns on when you turn on and play the game to help you have the best gaming experience possible with this tv. This tv also turns on the game for you if you want.

Clarity is crisp and better than LG that I bought before this and returned it for this one. Remote is slim and handy. It’s a smart google TV. Supports airplay, mobile cast screen and you can download TV apps on it. Overall experience- a must have TV within the budget and have a great experience.

I loved that one too but needed one a little bigger for sports. The picture upgrades on its own and I have not found another TV in its class that is comparable to the picture I get for whatever I watch. Really enjoy the Smart TV features but mostly the bluetooth pairing with headphones. I live in an apartment and when it's late and I'm watching a show I don't have to bother anyone with the audio system I have. Good Gravy this is a great TV!!

The picture looks really good to me and it was within budget and overall I felt I got a lot of value out of this purchase. 2. The smart app has some useful apps like pbs for kids. 3. I paired it with a Samsung solo sound bar and it looks nice on my stand. 4. The tv is very light weight. Cons / Difficulties: 1. Sometimes the smart tv app freezes or maybe its the remote but it seems to stop accepting input occasionally. 2. I went over my data limits for the first month, I had to turn down the youtube resolution. 3. A couple times the wifi stopped connecting and I had to turn it on and off a few time to get it to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good granted ive only had this tv for about ten days but its worked beautifully thus far. set up was super easy but the most important thing to me was its bluetooth capability. i have two different sets of headphones paired to it and theyve been flawless thus far. im also able to control the headphone volume with my cable remote which is a big plus. the one negative that other reviewers have complained was a low “knocking” noise when the unit is off. i have heard this sound a few times but its so subtle and you have to be within a couple of feet to hear it and it has has to be almost deathly quiet in the room to hear it so its a non issue as far as im concerned.

It's been a pain since, I've contacted customer service several times, each time it momentarily fixes internet connection glitches, turning off randomly, overheating etc. But less then 2 weeks later it's back at it malfunctioning again. Really disappointed as this has never been our experience with Samsung products in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learning curve for Remote & HDMI cables! love the tv! i had some problems mastering the remote as it different from any i've used before. now it is easy -- at first it was frustrating. also, we hooked our downstairs tv to the with our existing displayport to hdmi cable. unfortunately, it was not compatible with a 4k tv. easily remedied. so be aware, you may have problems if you use older hdmi cables with modern 4k tvs. with that said, this is a great tv with loads of features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of issues! you would think that by buying a name brand you would be sheltered from certain basic issues but this is all in the head, not a fact. i bought this tv less than a month ago and already have 2 irritating issues. the tv randomly turns itself on in the middle of the night. this happened twice. this is not my first smart tv and i never had that issue before. the second issue is when watching a movie file via a usb key, the usb key gets disconnected randomly and doesn't show in your sources anymore. you have to remove it and plug it back in. than the issue starts again. i'm not the only one experiencing this. you can google the issue and find other people who have had that same issue as far back as 2019 (so good luck). i tried to resolve it with tech support but they are like robots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a good television bought this at best buy on sale after researching 55" televisions. set up was very easy via my mobile phone. the edges of the screen film look a bit ragged but i'll survive. i was able to dial in the settings, away from the oversaturated, soap opera effect look that you see in stores to get a "normal" looking picture. for movies and tv shows the picture is great. glare isn't too much of an issue, and viewing angle is great. i have not used the tv for gaming yet. the remote is easy to use, and navigation on screen is simple enough. adding an antenna was easy as well. i like the smart things app. overall you can't go wrong with this tv. i recommend it and the samsung brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality i believe samsung products always offer quality. in the case of this tv as well as others we own, the picture quality is excellent. the only mechanical drawbacks are (1) the stands which support the tv: they are quite a ways apart, and we had to modify our existing stand to accept them. (2) the coax connector is parallel to the rear surface vs. at right angles which creates some difficulty when screwing in a coax cable. still, i highly recommend samsung.

Samsung TVs provide a performance suitable for most buyers, but they can also be costly compared to some competing brands. They generally perform very well and are among the best TVs on the market, especially if you want gaming features.

I had planned to buy a small inexpensive tv for my bedroom, but when I saw this 55" LED 4K UHD for such a good price, I went for it. The way the salesman in Best Buy explained it to me, although the refresh rate is technically 60Hz, the software that works with it, fools the eye into thinking it is the faster refresh rate of 120Hz. I am not a gamer, so I wasn't as concerned as my husband. Also the young salesman is a gamer, and he bought this tv. Sounds good enough for me. It is a very slim design, great picture and color. My new tv stand will arrive next week - so many things out of stock since COVID and truckers not being able to deliver. This tv will really look great on my new tv stand (see last picture). I definitely recommend this tv. My husband bought one for more than twice the money of this one, for out in the family room, which arrived a week later than this one. So we had this 55" tv out in the family room for a week, and my husband admitted it is a great tv.

The picture quality is stunning, I can easily see the difference between this TV and my old Samsung. Speakers do seem a little weak on the TV which means I will just have to get a sound bar. Besides that it seems like a great TV kind of wish I got the 65 inch instead of the 55 but I like being married :-)

Samsung TV Plus has plenty of free stations including good news choices. In fact I cut the cable finally! I use Prime, Roku, and subscribe to NBC/Peacock. Just started pulling up YouTube on the Internet link. The picture is great. It connected all my remotes, including my soundbar, so I only need one now. It remembers my recently watched channels and recently added movies/ shows. A great picture! An excellent value!!

The connective features and apps work well for streaming but the built in browser is best for basic browsing. Apps are widely available for all major streaming sites and all apps are very responsive and don't have any errors or issues. The sound quality is good but not too loud. There are numerous features for child safety, accessibility, and automation; my favorite feature has been using the smart things app on my phone as a controller for the TV and a private listening device.

I really like the smart TV features like apps to watch different streaming services, and the Samsung TV free stations are pretty good. The only thing I don't love is the picture quality when it comes to brightness. Sometimes movies are too dark or too bright, but at least you can adjust the settings as needed. It's not a super high-end TV but price is just a steal for this quality, would definitely recommend.

It was the BEST when I had a Superbowl party! I have a neighbor who comes over a lot more to watch new movies and sporting events! This TV is a WINNER! All my last Samsung TVs had longevity to them, and this model seemed to be best quality at best price. It’s easy to navigate, good picture quality, and overall seems to be well made. I’ve had it about 6mos now. Minus one star because I wish there were more options to adjust the color/brightness. It seemed really off at first and I had to adjust it, but I wish there were more custom options. Sound quality could be better, but that could just be me being nitpicky. Overall would recommend.

The new programming is strong and made setup and operation an easier experience. My interface with cable box and a DVD player is seamless when choosing the mode of connection or streaming 16 hours a day. I seriously look forward to adding peripheral audio and computer, and monitor to increase my visual studio equipment to include this television as a part of a work environment.

I love the quality of the picture I get and it makes it like your right there in the movie. I have chosen Samsung as they are a reputable company that has been around for a very long time and has always stood behind their products. I also like the fact that their products last for a very long time compared to other TV makes, and models. "My last TV had last over 13 years and never did I have any problems with anything on it. I never had to replace the bulb, nothing". So when I bought my first cellphone I picked a Samsung over an apple as I knew it would out last an Apple way longer and Samsung would stand behind their product. "I even picked the Samsung watch over a Fitbit as it had better features that interested me and what I wanted". I always recommend Samsung to my friends, family and customers when they ask me which brand i would chose and then they ask me why. So I tell them that first of all Samsung is a reputable company, they stand behind their products, their products last a very long time, the picture quality is excellent and makes you think your right in the picture. I have had more people thank me for recommending Samsung products to them over other brands and that they are very pleased with their purchase and how they will tell their friends and colleagues about Samsung. That is a game changer. My biggest gripe with this tv is there is no headphone Jack and only one HDMI eArc port. Overall am content with this purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality for the price I've had my Samsung TV for a little more than a year now and I love it - for the most part. I use it 40/40/20 between gaming and streaming and over-the-air TV, respectively. It was a very simple setup and the picture looks great - I love how crystal clear the HD picture is, especially gaming and for watching sports. I've lately gotten into Formula 1 and the picture quality is immaculate. My one caveat is that the darkness or blackness of the TV seems average quality. You can clearly tell where the darker parts of the TV are when there is a black screen while loading games or streams. This also affects really dark shows and movies. There's also these little black bars (like 1cm tall, all spaced apart along the bottom of the TV) that have started to show. I've noticed they become prominent when the TV is on for more than 2-3 hours - which shouldn't be very long - considering football games are almost four hours. They go away, and sometimes show up right when you turn it on. So far it's not distracting, I just hope the problem doesn't get worse. For the price, it's a solid Samsung TV - but I wish I would've splurged and gone for the full OLED 4K. Also purchased the Samsung Sound Bar with subwoofer - man the audio is BANGING!

I use it a lot for streaming and I have no complaints, I was really surprised by the Samsung channels which I enjoy very much (with internet service you don’t even need cable). There is only two things that I would change. Although now a day everything is online I would really like to have a paper manual which would make it easier for those of us a little older and would definitely allow me to use more features and I would also love for the remote control to light up as it is kind of hard to manipulate when lights are out. Other than that I love my Samsung TV

We had a smaller one and went a bit larger and so glad we did. Beautiful picture. Still getting use to features that seem to be more and more. Old school here so I'm not use to having all these different options. Great sound and picture, loving our purchase. Sound is nice and screen is bright and great for movies etc. My son loves playing his video games with friends. Very happy with this television and would buy another if we needed for another room at some point. Great options to pay off same as cash, great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few suggestions i love the color and simplicity of changing channels. what i don't like is the difficulty in downloading apps like cbs. do the search and gives you the news apps but not the cbs app itself. also the constant voice about changing stations and adjusting volumes and reading every line of information is very bothersome. may i suggest that samsung place the major networks apps (abc, nbc, cbs) on the television with the option of deleting them. a more comprehensive instruction booklet would also be helpful for on screen instructions are not comprehensive at times.

It was comparatively easy to set up once I got it home. Have been enjoying the quality view and color for over 6 months. My tv cable was getting so high and I was limited to what I could see without increasing my cable bill. Tv has 55-in. screen. Was loaded with plenty of apps with free movies, tv programs, etc. I cancelled my cable and downloaded the YouTube TV app to start streaming the shows that I like watching. I was a little intimidated at first by trying something new, but I have actually loved this purchase and am thoroughly enjoying watching tv again. The color is great, the picture is clear, the size is just right. I couldn’t be more pleased than I am with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Model Issues 1st au8000 on 11/12 after listening to a constant clicking 24/7, 2nd au8000 11/24 astonished tv is doing same thing. it does not have anything to due with the tv heating up because the clicking stops if you unplug it from the outlet. researching on the internet, there are many other consumers with this issue. samsung why aren't you pulling this particular model since you know there is an issue? this is very discouraging as i have been a decades old customer.

If you have a Samsung account, using the smart things app is really handy with this TV. The only downside we have is that the TV power needs to be reset occasionally, but apparently that's a common issue with smart TVs.

We watch movies, play video games, and use it to stream. It has a clear picture and we love its light weight. The only complaint I could possibly think of is that some newer video games do stutter from time to time but that could be more the internet and system then the tv.

We finally got to flat screen televisions when we moved abroad and have had three in 10 years, everything changed last year when we got our Samsun Crystal UHD AU8000. We couldn't believe the clarity, the size, the feeling of being in the movies. I'm still astounded many months later that the picture of this 55 inch widescreen projection is so clear. Watching older shows in HD has brought them to life. I hope this TV last for a long time, but in the very least, it has converted us to this technology for picture alone - Thanks Samsung!

It's got every smart feature I could ever need (I live in the Samsung ecosystem) and everything flows seamlessly from screen casting or listening to music. Honestly my favorite feature is the ability to close unused apps using Device Care. Needless to say I plan on staying in this ecosystem with any future device purchases.

I can stream shows, cast from my phone to my tv, and watch whatever I want, pretty much whenever I want. What more could I ask for? Some other smart device can make my coffee. My three sons, all in their fifties, each have Samsung TV’s. I didn’t consult with them first. I just bought the one that had lots of great reviews and was affordable. I think I made a great choice. And it looks really good on my antique workbench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4k experience for the price l. I love this tv and it collection of streaming apps. Setup is easy it recognizes devices you connect via HDMI and adds to your menu bar. Except PlayStation which will just add a generic gaming controller icon (might me a Sony thing since they also make TVs). Not sure if its because my sound bar is old and another brand but will reset back to tv speakers at time but most of the time works seamlessly. Oh and this model is not for bright rooms but other than that this is a great tv.

I can control them all centrally and get updates on things like when my clothes will be washed/dried on my tvs. I love the picture quality and how easily it links to my soundbars and surround sound systems. The interoperability and quality of picture and sound is the main reason I always buy Samsung products.

Down sides: does not cast from Android devices easily...still haven't found compatibility app to get it to work. Certain apps stream slow or freeze: HBO Max, YouTube, not sure if it's the app, the WiFi, or the TV, but all the other apps work well.

Not a huge fan of the audio but it’s fine. The picture is clean and you can enjoy what you’re watching. As far as gaming, it’s nothing incredible but unless you’re super into gaming, you’re ok with this TV. After all, it’s not for gaming or anything specific like that.

However, we also have it hooked up to our PS5, and it works together SO amazingly well! The TV can be turned off but if you push the PS button on the PS5 controller it will turn on the PS5 of course but it will ALSO turn the TV on! All the smart features just work so seamlessly and easy! We absolutely love this TV! It even has 3 HDMI ports! It just does SO much! Has all the streaming apps, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, Paramount+, ECT....It could NEVER be a bad idea to purchase this TV!

The Samsung Plus TV has many channels to watch. There are some programs I do not like but for the most part I have found many I do. Netflix and other channels are available and that is a plus for this TV. Mounting on the wall above my fireplace created extra space in my livingroom for added comfort and more seating room. I am so thankful for my TV and all the joy it has brought me over the past several months.

The clarity and quality is great as I can see the small minuscule details when playing games. My favorite feature is the capability of using other smart devices for controlling the TV. I am able to use my echo glasses to control the volume and channels of the TV and be able to turn it off. It has made things really easy and the integration is smooth.

I do feel like the interface went a bit backwards though. My 2017 model operates more seamlessly. On the new one changing apps can glitch or freeze occasionally. NOT HAPPY that I can not move or delete certain apps. With that said, a substantial update on the interface will guarantee that I buy another.

Sound is what you’d most expect out of a flatscreen TV but it’s not bad either. It’s very easy to setup and has a lot of great smart features. The software has been a little bit delayed at times, but a majority of the time it’s smooth and easy to navigate with the remote control. Also, the picture is very clear and sharp with gaming & movies. Overall I would definitely recommend this TV for someone looking for a newer model within a cheaper budget.

The sound quality is excellent... and it can get loud (my default volume setting is usually between 12 and 16 (poss. max is 100) and that's loud enough for almost any show I watch from any service. The slim profile, thin bezels, and near-matte screen also makes it possibly look more expensive than it is. Would be considered a big screen for a small room but perfect for a medium size room. The apps allow me to access my YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, Showtime, BritBox, Acorn, HBO Max, Peacock, PBS, Apple TV, Disney+, iQIYI, Vidi, Prime Video accounts with easy setup. The slim, minimalist yet intitive remote is also one of my favourite feature. Tbh, I only just recently learned how to use less common features like the voice command feature (has a dedicated hold to talk button) and I still have no idea what the 123 button and the colored dots button do, but I refuse to read the manual and I will just let it come to me one day. This TV is so good, it's got me wondering just how much better Samsung's high-end tvs might be. I would like to try them but I don't want to contribute to electronic waste, and since I have no complaints about this particular TV I can't really justify getting rid of it.

You don’t even have to think where everything is. Very good picture and sound quality too. Setting up is fairly simple, but you still have to know what you want to do. Especially if you are adding a sound bar.

So, for some video streaming services I have to use the Internet app to stream TV shows. The worst part of using this Internet app to view the videos is that it pauses the video every minute. So, I have to refresh the page all the time, which is very annoying. I couldn't find the way to fix this problem, but I am still looking to resolve this issue. Other than this issue, this is great to watch Samsung TV, Netflix, Amazon Videos, YouTubes, etc. Some channels on Samsung Plus TV are somewhat blurry but I guess this is not created by Samsung but from the broadcast channel. I would actually recommend this TV. This is perfect size for one bedroom apartment unit to place it in the living room.

The quality of the TV is top of the line. It came with detailed instructions for set up which made it very easy to do. Its very compatible with the Amazon Fire Stick and can use the Alexa or Fire Stick remote. It has a multitude of Apps already downloaded including Netflix and Apple TV. The picture is beautiful and sharp. Also it’s very easy to navigate through the TV features and channels.

The TV itself is a great addition to our living room, I was going to buy a sound bar but the sound quality is excellent. Bought in a sale at Walmart so even better value for money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the picture! the tv has a great picture. the sound quality could be a bit better but i knew that going in. the remote has been a learning curve. it’s almost too simplistic but i am getting the hang if it. still havent tested the dvd player i hooked up to it. this tv has definitely enticed me into watching more tv. lol. in my opinion it was the best bang for my buck. not extremely expensive, perfect for my needs. i probably could have managed with a smaller one but the 55 inch one feels like i am watching a movie screen in my small living room. i don’t play games. if you do, you will need a tv with more ports. if you just want a nice mid-priced tv to watch, this is it. if the sound quality needs to be better for you, i suggest a sound bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounds and clear view I am mostly using this smart TV to Watch Korean TV shows using internet browser(Kiwidisk) and it works very well. I like the good enough responding time, self installed sound system and clear view of screen with this price range. One thing I am disappointed with this TV is connectivity between TV and VR machines. I want to screening my VR(Oculus Quest2) view on the TV, but, it is not allowing the direct connection to TV. I think this is just software difference rather than hardware because Oculus can be connected by Bluetooth or Internet. Other than this I like this TV so far.

This is the story of the TV in the living room. Sunday through Wednesday the kids have it why because that's my work schedule by the time I come in I only have enough energy to spend an hour a day with the TV and then I'm off to bed but when Wednesday night come the kids don't understand the potential of how to unleash the full power that's the Samsung TV. One night we jump into game mode the following night movie mode or we feel like just relaxing music for one of my favorite things on there the Dex program so if I got to do a little extra work I don't have to look at no the phone I can look at it on the big screen and then the kids hate the fact when they try to have the remote from me I'll pull out my phone and I tell Bixby on my phone to turn the TV on

Easy to follow step-by-step instructions. Remote control makes it simple to navigate channels or stream through networks. The picture / colors are vivid and sharp. We use the TV for an array of activities. Movies, streaming, binging our favorite shows. I use it for my exercising class and the grandkids use it for their school activities. It's definitely a great way to watch a ballgame without having to put on pants and go to the ballpark. I will note that sound can be hit or missed and that's why this television is best for apartments as opposed to a big open house or minor league field. Overall a great purchase and I would swing this way again.

I have limited experience in construction but I was able to easily hang the tv on the wall above the fireplace mantle. It looks beautiful and highlights the room. The smart tv features make it a one stop shop for movies on all apps and live tv. We love crisp clear picture and it seems like you can reach out and touch the actors on tv. The entire family is very happy with our Samsung tv.

So far, everything I've used this TV for has not disappointed. The screen is crystal clear and the quality is wonderful. I love that I can use my phone as a remote control so if I can't find the remote, no worries. I've also used it as an external monitor with my Samsung Galaxy Book Flex. Although I wasn't as impressed, it worked fine for the time I used it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clicking noise When Turned Off. Well, we have had this TV since Christmas 2021. It works great but has a clock sound when turned off. We read other reviews about this sound. Samsung does not know what is causing this clock sound. We have learned to live with it since the TV works. The 65-inch Samsung TV in the living room does not have this problem. Oh well, maybe one day the Support team will figure it out and let us know how to clear it up.

Within the cons of the television, I could say that the black image shows scattered light sources, but this is not an important point, since the image is fast and very well projected, it is what we are looking for in a TV, clear colors and alive. In general, the price is very good in relation to the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All good, Except... everything about this tv is awesome with one exception. we stream music from the internet and at there are various hiccups and skips on songs. it's not consistant but still there every day. we have a nighthawk router and have tried connecting directly through lan and it still does this. there's no consistancy to when it will do it, just sounds like the tv is doing something in the background and gets overwhelmed with data and can't keep up sometimes. other than that, it's one cool tv with a very nice picture.

I have had no issues with it at all. The picture is clear and bright and had friends who have commented on how great the picture is on it. We use it primarily for watching movies and streaming. It works great for that and it integrates well into our home with Alexa and our other Amazon devices. When the need arises for me to buy another TV, Samsung is where I will go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Continous tapping noise the tv makes a continuous tapping sound like a clock ticking. it varies in frequency from slow to fast and then back. i changed power cords, surge protectors, different outlets on different circuits and even changed rooms. i maded sure that anything else that might cause elextrical interference was either unplugged or not running (refrigerator, boiler). i unplugged all other cables from other devices that were plugged in. i left the tv unplugged all night. i made sure that tv was level front to back and side to side. nothing eliminated the continuous tapping noise. chatted with samsung serivce and they didn’t have a solution. very narrow viewing angle but ok for the room that it is being used in. easy to set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible App, Good TV first of all the manual is in reality non-existent, you have to go online to see the manual. the tizen app is terrible, hard and difficult to use. i was never successful in permanently changing the order of streaming channels i actually use. the apps constantly re-order themselves; with the load of what i consider garbage apps, that i am unable to delete. the tv itself works well, and has good color and picture. i wish i could delete tizen. i went out and purchased a roku streaming stick. this is the interface i wish all tvs had.

I use this device to cast from my phone, I use it to play my Google TV, I often use it for my PS5, and then I also use it for regular cable that is offered as a free utility at my residence. I don't think there's a better buy on the market for me right now considering how dexteritous my television is!

Also if you are samsung freak like me who only uses samsung product than you will know how easy it is to connect your samsung phone, laptop, and other wearable wireless or through Bluetooth. The sound of the TV is very premium quality. And if you connect samsung soundboard and subwoofer it will turn your TV experience into some other level. I will really recommend this TV. And the remote its simple and classic but with modern look. Not too many buttons where you trying to look for a specific button in dark and its hard to find. It only has important buttons so you know with the texture of buttons what are you pressing even though it's dark. Overall I would rate this TV 100 out 100.

My big problem is that I have several Samsung devices in the same room and they all came with the same kind of remote and can be triggered by each other's remotes. So anytime I use the power button on the remote for the TV, it also turns my Samsung computer monitors on or off.

It has a problem recognizing equipment plugged in the HDMI ports, It doesn't see them as on. Not all the time, but occasionally. The color also reverts to a different mode than I set it on. I prefer the Dynamic setting but, sometimes when I power the set it's on a different setting. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem. My kids are grown and out of the house so I know it's not them messing with it or my wife. Anyway, other than that it's OK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good TV overall, a decent television with many options for apps. our goal was to have one remote and this tv does that for us. that said, we do find the remote a bit cumbersome- no way easily change channels (other than up down) without having to go through several screens. really like ability to use spectrum app eliminates having a cable box at $10/month. also, the acorn app is available eliminating our apple tv. the picture is good but fine tuning is limited in standard and natural modes. would be nice to have more control. also, on our optical connection for the bose solo speaker system we are limited in eq without resorting to the bose remote as the bose does not have hdmi arc. we still have a learning curve but all in all quite happy and are enjoying our new tv.

Has lots of accessories that make it a great hub for entertainment. The only downside is that the guide and interface can sometimes be confusing at first. If it was a little more streamlined it would be the perfect experience. Overall still very happy with my purchase.

I'm pleased to know that it has been 8 months, going on 9 months, and our Samsung 8000 series, 55 inch is working great and providing our family with countless hours of digital hdtv stations, along with Netflix! At first, I was bummed that our old sound system wouldn't work with our Samsung TV because it was a non-optical device. But after some research, I found a solution... The solution was to buy an optical converter which converts RCA to Optical, and I'm pleased to state, that we were able to cut down on costs of buying a whole new sound system and stick to our old setup! There are a few gripes I have about the TV, which are just minor... First, the TV lags sometimes when I switch between apps and menus. Second, from time to time, I will have intermittent issues with Netflix not connecting to my WiFi.. But it eventually ends up working, after a few tries to reconnect. I had a DLP Samsung before, and it was horrible, because of the firmware & the bulb that kept burning out, therefore I was scared to go with another Samsung. But I'm glad that I got the 5-year warranty from Best Buy & I have yet to see any serious problems. I did do some research online, to make the TV last longer, and it was to lower the brightness. I love this TV! I hope others will come to love it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4K entry level TV I purchased this tv after some quick research when my previous TV stopped working. I’m new to the 4K HDR world so I’m still learning how it all works. But I’m happy with this model as what I would consider an entry level 4K as is does not have 2.1 HDMI which I’m told is more for 120hz which I’m not that concerned about but a serious gamer may be. I will say it does look better in a darker room but bright light is still tolerable. I really enjoy the OS/interface it’s easy to use and I like the program guide that it downloads for your live tv antenna channels. I have a cabinet for my tv to sit in and the feet are very inconspicuous so I left them on instead of mounting on the wall. If I had more to spend I possibly would of gone for OLED Model but I’m completely happy with my purchase and would recommend this brand and model to anyone.

I watch a lot of tv so I am able to stream Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon prime, peacock, HBO Max, Disney plus, and I have the spectrum app. The picture is perfect. I would say the only downfalls are sometimes the tv lags a bit. It’s not as fast as my LG was. The speakers on the tv as well are not that great. Overall a good tv and worth the amount of money I paid.

I have had/still have other types including Element (still have), RCA (still have), Sharp Aquos (still have as well) but as we replace, TV's I have been leaning towards Samsung for quality and value. We have a Samsung 65 inch as well that is about 10 years old approximately and still looks and works great. Yes, we have a lot of TV's but these days they are used in so many ways besides entertainment including projecting your phone, zooming and presentations but mostly entertainment. The sharpness and color quality are the two major attributes that stick out for me with the Crystal UHD. I can't say how long it will last but my other Samsung is approximately 10 years old and works and looks great. I like the "smart" features of the Crystal including the built in streaming apps and Apple Air for quick projection from my phone. I watch National Geographic and 4K streaming and just love it. Its a real treat to watch. In conclusion, I do really like Crystal UHD TV and if it lasts 10+ years, then even better. Marc

We even have one on the outdoor patio, where we always thought we needed some special high-priced TV. The picture on each one is incredible, the remotes are easy to use, and the sounds works fine for us even without soundbars and our aging ears. By using our cable company's app, we are saving $60 a month in cable box rental fees. I wish the streaming buttons were customizable to our services and I miss the sleep button (like our older models had) but otherwise I love everything about our purchases.

I use it to mainly watch Netflix but has so many applications such as displaying stocks or accessing the internet browser available through the TV itself. Also launches app’s extremely quick while also having a vast array of apps to choose from.

Only minor issue is if you’re not head on with the tv, looking from an angle, you might not get the greatest quality picture but it isn’t dealbreaking. For $500 this is a steal of a value for the quality

The vume qould get locked, the smart TV aspect of it was not smart at all as it would delete apps or say the memory was full even whwn nothing was installed. What a monumental disappointment because the picture quality was amazing. Customer service never responded to any of my many inquiries. Bad product from a bad company.

I love that the remote controls the 2 Blue Ray Players I have (both Samsung). I have had Samsung TV for the last 15-20 years. I Love the color and the ease of use with them. It's the same remote for the most recent monitors, so anytime I try to turn on the TV with the remote, the monitors flip on as well. Otherwise, the TV is beautiful.

The Samsung TV Plus channels along with our streaming services give us a large variety to choose from and we do not miss cable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and smooth picture. The picture on this tv is really great. Very clear and vibrant. Nature shows look pretty amazing as do my video games and movies. It also has no problem handling my Ps4 and streaming channels. Very smooth. As I mentioned the colors are vibrant. But the blacks are also very sharp, not muddy at all. One problem I did have though was that when I played a Blueray movie through my Playstation the sound would not work. It would play the sound during the previews and menu but not once the movie started. However this may be a console issue. I hooked up a dedicated Blueray player and everything works fine even though it is some years older. It has some great free tv channels which I really appreciated as I cut the cord to my cable years ago. I just wish that when I switched from game to tv that it didn't always pop up directions for the remote on the screen. Also a dedicated one button push for switching inputs would be nice. But this a great tv. And most importantly to me I was able to get rid of the dreaded Soap Opera Effect!

Some of the live tv setup was a bit counterintuitive but once I googled the steps it was pretty seamless. Also integrates with Alexa pretty well. I wish there was a Samsung app for when I lost my remote (which is often lol).

I had to turn off auto motion to get rid of soap opera effect but that's a common task with newer tv's. The sound is just ok but if the sound is that important to you, you will use external speakers anyway. I don't like the bare bones, near buttonless remote. For example, you either have to navigate to and through the on-screen settings menu or talk to the TV through the remote to set the sleep timer. Doing it through the settings on the TV is a pain and since the tv is in the bedroom, me telling the TV to set the sleep timer actually wakes my wife FROM her sleep. The old fashioned "sleep timer" button on my old remote was ancient, but much more elegant in design and function. I could do it half asleep. The same is true for other traditional remote functions as well. Talking while your partner is sleeping is not a formula for harmony, and having to go to the TV electronically for the settings menu takes longer than gettting up and going to the TV in the old days before remotes (yes I'm that old). So not the best design for a bedroom TV. Also, there are no buttons on the TV, so I have to find the remote in the bed covers just to turn it off. Annoying when I'm standing right next to the TV itself.

The sound is excellent, balanced just right. Enough bass is hard to find in some TV's, but not this one. Forget about cable, fire stick, or Roku, we have Tizen which all you need is the Internet. I hardly leave the bedroom anymore. We are happy

After some searching we landed on this model, and let me tell you, the only thing I'm disappointed in is that I didn't get one for every room of the house! Sometimes the colors, especially the greens, look much more neon than I’m accustomed to, but this TV has never let me down. Remote buttons have too many multi task (not user friendly), no numbers on it. Sound has to be adjusted too much.

Also a couple of times the remote seems to have become unpaired from the TV and has required a hard reset that I was only able to learn about by calling the toll free support line (the support line was helpful but shouldn't have had to resort to a call).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Samsung Worthy This is the most unreliable unit I've ever owned. Samsung products have so much bloat ware that it's smart product features seem to become overwhelmed. Less than 6 months after I purchased this unit we began experiencing connectivity issues that often make the unit impossible to use. I have called about the problem however, it was not resolved and seems like it won't be and essentially we have a TV with software that is not viable and therefore useless. I'm certain Samsung is aware of the issue(s), it's not hard to find multiple postings across many platforms that refer to the same issue we are experiencing; to suggest it is a no issue problem possibly caused by a network band is a deflection especially considering the unit worked on the same network without issue until recently but the problem is now so prominent that it fully disrupts our internet service. I cannot in good conscience recommend this product.

Bought this TV around Christmas,,,, = 4 months ago. the remote is a piece of garbage, so had to buy an after market one. then last month the screen freezes and the only way to fix this is cut the TV off then back on. The picture is only so-so. tried customer support and got the run around & they were no help at all. They say I got a 1 year warranty but that is a joke also. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY this TV. Mark my words you will regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV menu not so great Bought this tv because it was a good price and 5" bigger that my last tv a 50" Sony which was great. Picture it much better, brighter and sharper. But moving around the menu is cumbersome compared to my old tv. Getting to features I used all the time takes too many steps through the menus. And the bigger irritation is I can no longer change the ID of broadcast channels???? which I could do on the Sony.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture, processor, all the features. I bought this TV about 3 weeks ago and, like every other Samsung TV I've owned, I love it. The picture is awesome, the speakers are very good for what they are, and the setup was so fast and simple I was surprised. Plus, I've owned almost every Samsung tablet they have. From the A series in 2 screen sizes to my current tablet, the S7 Plus. With all the software they use everything I have can switch from my phone and Tablets to the TV in seconds. I happily recommend this TV, or any Samsung product too everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like TV For the Most Part I love the picture and the color. However, this tv turns off by itself occasionally. What is that all about? Also, the volume measure really doesn’t match the numeric level. A 55 sounds like a 40.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I screen, you screen, we all screen for..REPAIR. I bought this tv mid to late October 2022. The screen broke in early January and was set to be repaired by early February. Samsung changed the repair to a full exchange of product but cannot get an answer on when that will be. I have had a broken TV for half as long as it worked waiting for some form of repair or replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger and better new TV Bought this 55" to replace a smaller 43" Samsung that we had no trouble with. Love the bigger screen and similar remote. Had no problems setting it up. So far the only thing missing that I found helpful was a signal strength meter when using an outside antenna, something we still use in our area. We pickup multiple signals from different transmitters for the same over the air stations and the signal strength meter helps to determine which is the strongest one to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Colors are good picture is sharp, free streaming! I had one Samsung TV and I like it so much I bought another when lightning destroyed my Sony TV. I especially enjoy Samsung Streaming. There have a large number of entertaining channels that are free when using this product. It is easy to add apps such as Brit Box but many apps are already on it like Disney and Netflix so you only have to register the device with your streaming service. The colors are sharp and the controls are easy to figure out. The picture is sharp. Very pleased will buy this brand again for my daughter's room.
