Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the picture, the remote and menus not so much This is a re-write of my review, as requested by Samsung: For the picture on this TV I would give it 5-stars. The picture and the screen's abilities to provide an excellent picture are outstanding. It is able to provide anything you might prefer from quite dim to absolutely brilliantly bright. Contrast can be adjusted to the same level of extremes as the brightness. The uniformity of the picture is also all that you could ask of a set, especially in this price range. Being a 4K TV, its ability to upscale is something to really appreciate and is apparent when watching media that was made pre-1080I, as the upscaling feature does improve the lower resolution of those productions in most cases. The sound is fairly decent considering the set is a simple two-speaker, down-firing system, with a relatively low-powered amplifier. Sadly though, like so many manufacturers today have done, the only audio out is for optical devices only. Long gone are any "legacy" hook-ups and I should point out here that not only includes the sound output, buy the video input as well. You can no longer use RGB, component or even the traditional fall-back default of RCA composite connections. There's HDMI in and Optical audio out. There is a single USB A port that can be used to input from USB memory media devices for movies, videos, etc. All of these things are pluses for this set and we like them. Now, for what we don't like: One, the included remote is sorely lacking in what it is able to control on the TV, mostly due to it being done in a "minimalist" style. What I'm saying here is Samsung has attempted to move as much control from the included remote to the screen itself. If you've been paying attention to what has been happening in new cars with the manufacturers removing buttons and knobs from the dashboards, and placing them on a screen on the dash instead, well they've done on this TV. Samsung has tried to strike a similar aesthetic here on this TV and probably all of their sets. To put it simply, we don't like what they've done. The few buttons that remain on the remote are very poorly labeled, and some of them don't move in an intuitive manner. For example, there are two very small rectangular buttons that stick up from the surface of the remote about 1/16th of an inch. It took me quite some time to realize you needed to use these to change the channel, but you don't "push down" to get a response. You must "catch" the top edge of these little buttons to "rock" or "nudge" them either forward or backward. If you're anything like the average person you will frequently find your fingers simply sliding over the top of the button because they're very small, they do not stick up very far and the plastic is very smooth, almost slippery. This is very much how the design of the entire included remote is done. Not easy to use, almost indecipherable and actually small enough that you can easily have it fall out your hand if you aren't careful with it. Now, our second dislike and it looms large for us. This isn't our first 4K Samsung set. Our first Samsung 4K set is now about 10 years old, but its menu system is far more intuitive, logical and understandable. Our new MiniLED set's menus are very trying, not logical and many times the only way to actually pull something up that you want is to use the search function. We are keeping the TV because we love the picture and sound, and we found an excellent work-around so that we can use our new set. The remote from our 10 year old Samsung 4K set works perfectly with the new set, and the way it was laid out brings back the logic and control that was missing due to the included remote being almost useless for us. With the old remote we now can access every feature on this new TV and do not have to hunt and depend on moving a little cursor around on the screen to back control. Good TV, bad remote and software.

Im very satisfied with this purchase. I prefer Samsung products and I am actually going to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy smartphone to a newer version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far! I replaced a Samsung plasma TV from 2011 with a new 50” miniLED. The streaming quality and reduced glare were worth it. I wanted to stick with Samsung because my last TV had such longevity (still works perfect, I was just ready for a Smart TV). The set up was pretty easy to walk through. As this is my first Smart TV, the interface could be a little overwhelming at first. It’s quick to load apps and easy to delete those I don’t need from the menu to simplify the choice a bit. Very happy with my purchase.

The brightness is impressive — HDR content really pops, and it handles both bright rooms and darker setups well. Contrast is one of the standout features; the Mini LED backlighting delivers deep blacks without the blooming you'd expect at this price range. Resolution is crisp and detailed in 4K, and upscaling for lower-res content holds up better than expected. Color accuracy is vibrant and well-balanced right out of the box, with rich, natural tones that don't look oversaturated. Friend of mine was in need of a new TV, saw the picture quality on mine, and ordered the same model. The Samsung Plus TV is easy to operate. Contacted Service and was told they would send someone out to fix it but at a cost. What about the warranty? Not covered. I will no longer deal with a company that does not stand behind a product that was only in operation for 2 weeks. My previous 4 TV’s were Samsung. I will never buy another or any Samsung product again.

I was like buy a new phone: "It's connected now go use it" Previously I had a VIZIO TV it seemed much faster. Picture is the best I've seen at this price. If you plan to buy one I would secure a knowing friend to help set it up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The old tv (2019 q60) was better. This was meant to be an upgrade from my 2019 model q60… it really isn’t. I feel the old tv had a clearer picture. It had a far better menu system. It was more responsive and had a better overall look and feel. The m70h has slightly brighter picture and slightly better colour, but the image is not as clear and the menu is laggy and the more graphical look feels tacky and cartoon like. The old tv was better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart TV, STUPID Remote The TV picture is great but the Remote is STUPID - generous to say only about 5% useful. No numbers or voice control. Changing channels is archaic. And if you don’t know the channel number, forget about it. Still haven’t figured out how to fast forward/backward or pause. If you buy this tv, be sure to keep your old remote, it works 90% of the time. I just thought with a smart tv, one remote would be all that is necessary - nope! Don’t suggest calling customer support, I did, spent over 2 hours with 5 people, not much help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD Budget TV I bought this model as a secondary tv in my bonus room/workspace. I didn’t want to go crazy so kept it at under $300-$400. I’ll eventually upgrade it to a frame tv at some point because coming from a much nicer and higher end in my living room, this television bothers me. Again keep in mind it is good for a budget tv. I am satisfied. I knew what I was buying. One gripe is that we’re so spoiled with tv depth now that this tv is on the thick side. That is all lol
