Then when it does come on, the last show that was on is in a tiny box that sits there for awhile and then finally decides to bring up the big picture of the show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color is off I have to say the color on the Samsung is terribly off. It is not vivid and everyone appears yellow, green, orange or red. I have tried to adjust all the settings, have also gone back to factory settings and it’s not working. I sadly threw away the box so can’t return but massively disappointed. I work with imaging so it’s very noticeable to me and I wish I wasn’t stuck with this TV.

I bought a Vizio TV 6 months earlier, I had nothing but problems with the Vizio and after 19 times resetting and numerous calls to Vizio I bought the Samsung to replace my previous pice of junk. The Samsung has preformed flawlessly and I recommend them.

It is also larger and easier to see from the bed in our bedroom. The picture is so much clearer. Much more detail and brilliant colors. The price was also a reason for the purchase. Holiday sales made it more attractive to me and my wife. It was the best time to buy and since I would get her what she wants, holiday or not, this was a great gift for the both of us.

But everything else is a great value and is working great. The audio is why I gave it 4 stars. However the built in audio is good. Better than many TVs ive used. I got a soundbar but it sounds horrible for some reasoon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should Have Looked Harder it was easy to set up. Color is not as bold as I think it should be. No matter what I try, I cannot get the "closed caption" off. It is so annoying. It is on Netflix & Amazon Prime some times. It stays on Youtubetv, it was not like that on my old TV. Also I do not have voice option on my TV I really needed to do more research.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor screen server service black screen black outs I bought this a couple months ago for my wife happy it would make out a great gift for her after she had made it clear she wanted this model smart 50 inch plasma tv but sadly did not last me nor 3 months stopped working after like the first month then it started black outs and stopped coming back on so now I just have it sitting up there non functional worth hundreds of dollars go to waste on this investment i badly choose to make no guarantee

My new 50" is not a tv , but more like an advanced computer with a large monitor- the leap in technology is incredible.By the way my 40" still works after 14 yrs , never had an issue with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like my old Samsung smart tvs better The picture is great. I have other older Samsung smart tvs and am a little disappointed with the change to the Home screen. I prefer the old style with the icons across the bottom of the screen and being able to scroll right or left to the preferred app while still watching the previous program. The new home screen has tiny app icons that have to be scrolled down to before being able to scroll right to the app of choice. Additionally, the YouTube TV app goes to an earlier program rather than the list of current programs. I do like the convenience of the sleep timer since this is in a bedroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Remote Control for this TV is horrible. Unfortunately, I am not happy with this purchase. First, the remote control for this TV is horrible. If you have any type of neuropathy (numbness of the fingers), you are going to have a really hard time with it. The volume "button" (which is a tiny plastic slit), is incredibly difficult to control. Move it slightly differently and you end up muting the TV. So it may take multiple attempts to change the volume. The next issue is the TV does not go into "screen saver mode" at all. If you fall asleep watching a program, and the program ends, the TV does not go into a screen saver mode, it just stays on the same screen until you wake up. I tried to solve these 2 issues with using my Fire Stick, and this TV fails to recognize it. I used my Fire Stick on my old Samsung TV without an issue. I was able to easily control the volume (much bigger buttons) and have a screen saver on the old TV. Not with this Samsung. This TV was also unable to connect to my sound system that my previous Samsung had no issue with doing. I spent $1400.00 on this system in 2014 from Best Buy, and was told at installation I need to purchase a new sound system if I wanted my surround sound back. The remote has buttons on it for Prime, Netflix and Disney. To me that's an incredible waste of space on the remote, especially since these icons show on the Home Screen for this TV. (should have used the space on the remote for things like volume control). I have taped these button icons off, since I kept hitting the Netfilx button as it was located where the sound button was for my old Samsung. So much for a "newer and better" TV. If my old Samsung of 14 years hadn't failed, I would still be using that one. I contacted Samsung for assistance on the screen saver issue and was told that my TV "didn't have this feature". So I fully expect this current TV to burn out within 5 years and I will need to purchase a new one. If I hadn't had this TV mounted to the wall, it would be going back to Best Buy. You can bet I won't be looking at a Samsung again. Note to older purchasers: Please check out the remote control quality before purchasing any TV. I learned the hard way. The frustration of not being able to easily navigate a remote for basic functions will drive you mad. The picture on the TV is ok, so that's not an issue.

I want to download Verizon Fios TV Home app but it is not possible to load an app in this model. I choose Home ... App then there should be a search icon on the right corner of the screen which is not available in this model. I probably return it if I can't load this app today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Senior Citizen Scam I purchased this a month ago, but did not unbox it right away. I had to wait until I could get some help because I anm a senior citizen. After several weeks, my daughter and I unboxed it, assembled it, and plugged it in. Nothing but lines, streaks, and colors. Spoke with a Samsung rep on the phone. Was told there is nothing they can do because of no damage to the box AND I unboxed it after 5 days of receiving it. I am out money and a TV. It was clear the damage was from the factory. Senior citizens should not be scammed this way.

One of the reasons we purchased a “smart” tv was our assumption they all came with that option. Other than that we LOVE the tv!

When you go to mute you use the same button that is use for volume high and low, so much of the time your messing with that button because it didn't mute instead it turned up or down the volume. That is very difficult to deal with.

My husband needed an optical port to hook up his TV Play unit to work in conjunction with his hearing aids. We tried all sorts of connections and nothing worked. We loved the tv and most impressed with all that it held but the one thing we needed and it didn’t have was that optical port. Unfortunately we had to return it for a different brand.

I am using the TV as a PC and laptop monitor on the multiple HDMI ports. I am using the TV to play music video on Youtube. The video and color quality are awesome. The remote control is very easy to use. I am using the bluetooth paired to a stereo system at home and the sound is fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ugly yellow blotch in the screen. For the most part I like the tv, but there is a big yellow blotch about 6 inches wide and 5 inches high at the bottom middle of the screen. It’s only visible when the screen is dark like a nighttime scene or someone wearing dark clothing. The tv was delivered when it was well below freezing. I thought the blotch would go away after it warmed up but it didn’t.

There are virtually no helpful instructions with the remote. The volume button mutes the sound which is totally frustrating. I was on the phone for hours with Amazon & Samsung trying to pair the firestick remote which neither company was able to figure out!!!

Maybe you could print right on the box what or what not this tv will do no 3.5 port no optic port closed caption doesn’t work what a disappointing experience I have a Samsung that is 25 years old that runs circles around this heap of wires

Also the sound is amazing. My dad is hard of hearing so with my old tvs he always had to turn it up all the way but with the Samsung sound quality he doesn't.

Extremely premium look and have gotten tons of compliments/inquiries from friends. Hard to beat the quality and value for the price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unopened garbage I bought the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, it came with a 50" TV. I am a student and was able to get the 65", but needed something smaller to replace the 120hz 65" Samsung that is currently dominating my living room. I was told I am unable to request a 55" if I went the student-route, so I had no option but to go for the 50" and hope it would cover the hole (one of those holes made for CRT TV's) my TV mount is recessed into. The 50" does not. It is sitting, unopened in the box, on my living room floor. I would 10,000,000% rather have gotten my Galaxy Book for less money (like the promotions they run now), but Samsung finds it cheaper to ship their garbage to customers versus paying for a dumpster. As an added bonus, I now get harassed to leave reviews for their garbage. A constant reminder that Samsung is miserable to do business with. Samsung, if you send me a return label for this, I'd like you to have it. Nobody wants your 60hz TV's so I can't resell it. It is taking up space and is completely worthless. Lastly, I adamantly disagree with the stated conditions of this review- when you buy a product you buy the company's customer support. Your customer support is bad. It affects how people use your products and is relevant to a product review.

My only complaint is the remote which can take a while to learn as it uses the same buttons for different functions. I'm guessing they did this to save space and make it smaller. It's fine once you learn it but it can be frustrating at first.

I wish it started on the streaming apps rather than on top with the three main tabs. I love being able to connect my buds and using my phone for Samsung dex. I love being able to control all of the devices on the smart things app.

This recent TV has a fair picture quality compared to the others. The biggest complaint I have is the remote that is provided. There is no number keypad, no volume/channel control without having to go to another screen.

There are no interruptions while watching and have had a 10/10 experience with itx no problems at all! I can access my steam and xbox account without the necessary hardware in order to play them without installing the actual games, it's like streaming a movie but for videogames. It has built in Bluetooth so all I have to do is pair my xbox controller, headphones, keyboard, etc. With no cord. Overall I love it with other awesome features as well but I mainly use it for gaming, which was a perfect choice on getting this tv.

About once a week it freezes and we have to disconnect the cable box for a bit and then it has to reboot. The volume is extremely variable between stations and even commercials on the same channel. When you change the volume it screams your change. When you turn it off or on it makes this really loud tone. Loud enough to wake someone if you turn it off late. It is bigger but definitely not better.

Tv loves to say use the microphone on the remote; however, Samsung forgot to put a microphone on the remote. Samsung also forgot to put a spacebar on the search screen so it’s really fun trying to search things. Buy a new remote and it’s solved, but for the price of the tv, Samsung could have done much better.

When iit started to fail I looked into buying it again but looked up recommended products and Samsung was right on top. It is so fantastic. Clear, almost 3D.

And the remote is too light. I bought a new remote which is heavier and has a round shape which is much better in my hand. It does has a voice command feature but it doesn't work on the new TV.

We’ve been buying Samsung TVs since the first flat screens came out. They are great quality and last forever. Would definitely recommend Samsung for your next TV.

I will admit that at age 68, I wanted a larger screen and my decision would probably be based on cost. I found a great deal on this one and snapped it right up. Picture and sound are really great. My only problem with it is Me - I’m not used to the newer technology and so I have been working on that. I really only use basics but I needed to work on pairing my AirPods and adjusting volume - both are now working great!! Bonus - my old 42 inch screen got moved to my bedroom and my older yet 32 inch screen was converted into a monitor for my computer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so great We have one issue, the set will just stop no sound and no picture. It's as if the pause button has been pressed. Except for a white circle rotating around ... nothing. Once when it was doing this I checked the operation of our computers, cell phones and printer. They were all working well. The TV set continued with the rotating circle for ten more minutes then the set came back on. I'm 77 and can no longer pick up the set up. Additionally I'm my invalid wife full time caregiver so finding a sitter, somehow loading the set, then taking it back to the store is an impossible task. So we have just learned to live with it. My cell phones are Samsun and many of our appliances too, and always praised your products BUT this has really put a damper on things.

I googled Samsung fixes and did them but still continues to happen. Can you help?

The picture is beautiful, but there's no voice/sound leveling and navigating the menus to set up a sound bar was a nightmare that I had to look up on line because neither of the two TV's came with any instructions other than the annoying "tutorial" which was absolutely useless. When I'm watching Netflix and some music comes on during the movie, the sound booms. Then the volume has to be adjusted up again to hear voice when the music ends.

It’s an upgrade from 2007 Samsung. My refrigerator, washer and dryer and 3 tvs in the house are Samsung. Also, I have the galaxy S24. My next purchase Samsung Stove. There is Samsung and Samsung, no others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, no optical connector I received the 65” version of this model when I purchased my laptop and it’s great I had to get another Samsung Crystal UHD! The wall mounted TV in my bedroom was a 60” and I couldn’t even read the basketball game’s score! This 40” easily replaced my 60” with the clear and sharp screen!!! Easy to mount and set up. Practical plug it in, connect whatever you’re using and follow the utility to set it up. There is one downside and that is there is no optical connection. Figure that?! I couldn’t connect my Sonos soundbar because this TV doesn’t have an optical connection. So I ordered a Vizio soundbar which has a HDMI connection..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed with SAMSUNG. DU7200 50" TV worked great for about 3 months. Then it looked like the screen cracked in the lower left corner but seems to be under outside glass. Not covered by the warranty because Samsung said it was from an impact to the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I HATE this “smart” tv The absolute worst “smart” tv ever. All the “smart” tv functions are beyond counterproductive and make using the tv way harder than it needs to be. It almost forces you to use the functions, has constant pop-ups at the most frustrating times, and constantly tries to make you use the samsung remote instead of connected device remotes which never makes sense. This tv has made me want to never buy or use another smart tv from samsung ever again.

But since it has been fixed the quality and function have been superb. Well worth the money if you can deal with the issue.

I was looking for a new pc or laptop and the tv was part of a promotional deal. I thought the offer was FANTASTIC, so I got a 2 for 1 deal. A new Samsung note 4 laptop with a Samsung 50-inch crystal tv for the price of ONLY the laptop, traded in my Samsung TabS5 for a $150 off purchase price. Previously was using a Sony 32 inch which has nothing on the Samsung. My experience is so GREAT when our LG 70 inch went out, I bought a Samsung 65 inch to replace it!

Simply plug it in and use the cable provider's remote. The multiple options at setup are great for those who want a super customized experience. I wish they would allow options for a central foot rather than the wide spread legs.

The remote is pathetic and makes navigating so difficult that I just don't want to bother. To use the sleep option I have to exit the screen I am in which is ridiculous. The remote should be bigger and have way more options. I continue to watch everything on my tiny laptop. Wish I didn't waste money on this product.

It has very few buttons and the instruction booklet is terribly lacking in explaining how to use the remote. I guess Samsung expects you to be a psychic to figure out how to use the remote. If I had known about the remote, I probably would not have purchased this particular model.

This one does not have an audio port of any kind except HDMI. I have a hearing problem and need higher volume to watch TV. I used to be somewhat of a TV geek but this one has me stumpted. I have be unable to attach any kind of personal sound device. I have bluetooth hearing aids and they seem to be connected but volume is so low I can't hear it.I tried to add a sound bar, That doesn't work. This is driving myself and my wife crazy. She is kindly letting me put the volume up but I still can't hear is well enough to catch all the dialog. I have another Samsung that I do not need bluetooth for my aids so I think my only option is to switch out the TV's. That is if the other one has an audio out port. Sometimes the old way IS really better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture so so remote The picture is great. I'm very satisfied with it. However, I find the remote too simplified. I would like it to be more like the older models.
