Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a good purchase Tv screen went out in less than 3 years. Theses should last so much longer. I had a sharp that lasted over 10 years and a Sony that lasted 15. Will not by Samsung again. Had a 75” damaging that did the same as the 50”. Stay away from these.

Both this TV and washer and dryer set failed prematurely due to known problems. This Tv was a bedroom tv used rarely, failed due to a circuit board problem documented by several other people. Look for a different brand!

I use it to stream for games I use it for YouTube to watch music and other things I also have a lot of streaming movie apps that I download and put on it and one of the things I love the most about it is the remote is solar it doesn't require batteries which is a bonus and I can also pair it with my oven my microwave because those are Samsung also so yes this TV is a must-have you will enjoy it I recommend it to anybody that is looking for a very high quality TV with a great picture. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is decent for its price I gave this TV 3 stars for some issues that I have encountered but I will list the pros first. The picture quality is really good, there's no stuttering while I'm watching a show or even playing the xbox. The sound is pretty crisp. I have no issue putting it on volume 20 for normal sound even while it can go to level 100. It's a good size for my room and the flatness of it is really appealing. Now for the cons: every once in a while I have trouble connecting to the wifi, like it cuts out and it won't connect back unless I leave the TV alone for a day. That can be pretty frustrating. Another thing I've encountered is there is a slight delay while I play xbox. I would move in the game and the TV catches it a little late but it's noticeable. I've also noticed a random popping noise from the TV, I don't know what it is and it doesn't cause any damage or anything, just concerning.

Now the 1st tv I purchased started doing the same thing. I would not buy this tv or recommend anyone buying a Samsung.

Lol but now with all the gaming options and prices around Christmas I just couldn't pass on this for my daughter. The picture is great she never has any complaints and we've had the tv for almost 2 years now.

I bought 2 of these TVs when I moved into my house and it malfunctioned after just 3 years. It kept resetting and I tried everything in the book, including a factory reset, but the TV is shot. When I called customer service all they gave me were the same deals online and kept saying "oh well" not our problem. This is horrible customer service and I won't be thinking about Samsung for future purchases.

The only complaint I have is the TV seems to disconnect on its own from my wifi but is quick to reconnect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Convenient Personally the Samsung TV was bought because it had the ability to watch Netflix through it on an app. As an avid movie watcher this was a very important must have feature I was looking for in a tv. But additionally to the many apps it has, other than Netflix, it has so many channels to offer that sometimes it’s a debate what to watch with so many cool things airing at the same time.

The colors are super bright and really pop, and the 4K resolution makes everything look incredibly clear and sharp. Whether you're watching movies or playing games, the display is colorful and bright, giving everything a vivid, lifelike feel. Plus, it’s super easy to use — anyone in the family can figure it out quickly. Whence contacted the tech rep, got tons that the power supply was faulty and it was easier to get a new unit, instead to repair it. So I did. In both occasions got a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connection issues When it works it's fine. But it's very slow to respond to the remote, and like other reviews it has very bad connectivity. I'm always losing wifi even though I have zero issues with my other devices connecting to my 5g wifi. I keep having to reconnect as if it's the first time I've setup this same wifi in the TV. And i rarely get through a show on Netflix or Prime without having to reconnect or atleast having to deal with some serious buffering. Wish I had just bought the bold model I had before which had none of these issues. Would not buy again.

It acts as my TV also! 4K brilliance is shown even when I watch my old DVD and VHS titles I've plugged in! AND LETS NOT FORGET THE GAMING!!!! It's clarity is UNMATCHED!!! And there is no off & on switch on the TV itself if you misplace remote or if it stops working. And there is no place to hook up a DVD player without the cost of additional gear.

Just bought my last Samsung. Only because of volume. Friends over to watch a game and had volume high at 100. Couldn’t go any higher. Not good for streaky all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy and upgrade from my old Sony Bravia I was in desperate need for replacing my old Sony Bravia that finally stopped working just after the Christmas time. My wife and I wanted to buy a Samsung based on its brand name for its great quality and reliability. I found a good deal on Best Buy. I went to check it out and was debating whether to get the model with Oled. After seeing it side-by-side, I didn’t see much of a difference so I decided to buy this model. I was surprised to see how easy it was to install and setting it up to my network to utilize its Smart features. I initially purchased the 43” screen due to the size of my TV stand which is 43” in width. However, it turned out that the overall screen size with only 22” was a bit small for visibility. So I went back to the store to get the next size up, which is 50” screen. Even though the screen width extends about 1/2” more on each side of the TV stand, the extra 3” in height made a big difference in visibility and paid extra $50 more, it was well worth it which we felt a much better fit and visibility. The remote has very basic functionality with very little few buttons which I like. I make use of installing my Amazon Firestick and also pair my Alexa as external speaker for my preference over using the TV internal speakers and watch local broadcast TV programs instead. Although it comes with voice control feature on the remote, I don’t use it at all. Few negative things about this TV are: 1) the HDMi/USB/Ethernet hookups behind the TV goes in sideways so plugging in/out are not as versatile. 2) internal storage is only 4 gbyte versus my Firestick 4k max has 16 gbyte so you cannot install as many apps. 3) running Internet on the TV is somewhat slow. 4) have not figured out how to connect my Alexa to the Tv as external speaker. What I like about this TV: 1) crystal clear viewing 2) easy and quick setup and versatile 3) remote functions are simple to use 4) adequate connections but little awkward to plug in/out 4) decent sound from the internal speakers 5) has few popular apps including Samsung Plus app but limited in how many apps you can add and can be installed on Tizen vs. Chrome or Google App Store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magically Turns Itself On And Horrible Picture Worst TV purchase ever. Too late to return it as I have had it 48 days and 18 days beyond return. TV turns itself on at randomly at night when no one is even in the room with the remote. The picture quality is less than stellar and highly disappointing. I have three Samsung TV's and the other 2 are older and far superior to this "crystal" tv. I was always a Samsung fan but this is my final purchase.

Easy set up - we were watching in 20 minutes. It’s much lighter than I thought and so thin. It was easy to setup. The features are good. All in all I’m happy with it. I think it’s good value for the money.

I still have my other Samsung tv and I have had it for at least 10 years and it basically ran all night most nights and it is still running great. I will always go with Samsung brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture with some annoyances Our 19 year old 40” Sony was having connection issues, so we it replaced with 50” CU8000. Weird but non-negotiable requirement was that it had to sit on 9” deep shelf in our living room. This Samsung has 8.9” feet.. Picture is great, once set to Movie Mode, as Standard Mode is an atrocity. Viewing mode is a bit narrow, but fine for our purposes. Sound is OK, once set to Amplified. Have not tried our Yamaha soundbar yet. Pro tip - Printed owner’s manual is nearly useless. Go the Samsung UK site if you need info on the various settings. One gripe is the volume display that comes up as we go louder/quieter. Takes up a large area. Another is the home screen, which after a timeout starts playing either last source or a selection from Samsung’s own free service (which is actually fairly good for that sort of thing). Remote control is tiny, easily misplaced. It has a solar panel on the backside, which makes no sense. Chargeable by USB-C port. We added a silicone glove which makes it more visible and grippy. Remote app on iPhone works, a bit clunky but can be reconfigured. Would have preferred a dumb TV, but those are rare nowadays.

I got white lines and flakes to include double and triple pictures for games. So far I talk to you for Agents from Samsung. 4 times I have to repeat myself. Even with the reference number. so I put in a service order. let's see you was going to happen from there. I got photos. Waiting to see if they're going to repair it or replace it.

It takes so long to load and the spinner freezes I'm not sure if this is normal the software is up to date. I also can't seem to find ambient mode

Xbox hdr gaming is awesome as well. The only issue I have is the sound lacks oomph. But easily remedied with a samsung soundbar. Which connects super easy by the way. I also use my zfold in dex to play android games with 0 latency and the picture looks super as well. All around great tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV...terrible remote control TV is great. The remote control is terrible. I have 3 other Samsung TV's in the house. Older Samsung remotes had a dedicated source button. The new "smart" remote requires you to jump thru like 4 different screens/pages/clicks to change source. Even though the phone app is slower, its at least more intuitive. Will probably look elsewhere in the future just because of how much we do not like the new remote, but probably all TV vendors are now going down this path.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Video Quality even for Gaming Love this TV. Great to scroll through apps to stream videos and such with the Samsung interface. No need for cable, just need wifi and you can stream Samsung TV for free without having to pay for cable. Use it to play on many gaming systems and the graphics is amazing. I even stream to my TV using Bluetooth capabilities or even via HDMI from my gaming laptop sometimes. Overall best TV so far I've had.

Lots of apps to download but for some reason when I play my SirusXM app it plays for 5-10 seconds and then popup message comes up and asks "are you still listening?" Well of course i hust activated it! I answer "yes", itbplays for about a minute and then it freezes and I have to switch to another channel. Also the remote isn't very "smart" and not user friendly with no number pad, i cannot get a channel list to scroll thru (as like a normal remote). I couldn't tolerate the cheap remote so I found a universal remote specific for these samsung "smart" TV's. Now I can get a channel list and scroll away. Other than these two issues, it's a good TV.
