As for the performance it is a very fast SSD helps ke transfer files between my phone and pc in seconds. While it also acts as my backup which even the 1tb is more than enough for me for mainly pictures and minor backups of phone. It works really well when using a windows pc and Samsung phones with no issues at all especially if you use Samsung magician app which makes it a seamless connection between all your devices.

Having a textured case also helps with grip and not having it slip off of angled surfaces. Cable provided is a little short but works fine with my other USB-C cables.

This devices transfers data so much faster than any other memory drive I have used. The bumper case is a huge help as well because as much as we would all like to be careful, life likes to drop things every now and then. This device also allows me to copy larger files, which most other drives have presented problems with. Some have appeared to do the same thing but after several years, the files became corrupted just out of nowhere. They worked fine one day and the next, it wouldn't let me use any files over 4 GB. This does not have that (hidden) problem. Plus you get the hreat name of Samsung on your product!

I use manly for mobile backups and pics and videos. I was backing up my phone (about 160 gb) estimated time was 45-60 mins. It finished in 22 mins. I couldn't believe it. Backed up my wifes phone with the same results. Highly recommend using the type c cords that came with it. Love it. The best buy of the year for me.

It runs smoothly showing all the content I put on it. The transfer speeds is also good since it doesn't take forever transferring gbs worth of content. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great R/W Speed. I use this for all my extra storage on a Mac Mini M4 16GB, 256GB. It stores all my Pro Tools, VSTs, Sound Libraries and everything else. Transfer speed is as advertised, I haven't had any issue at all. But using it on my Samsung S24 Ultra a phone that supports thunderbolt 4 on paper, I didn't have the same impression about transfer, maybe that's because I was rushing trying to move about 80GB bytes in less than 30 minutes using my phone. Overall experience is beyond what I expected, I will eventually get a more robust nvme from samsung due to positive results I am seeing with all my sound libraries and VST performance.

With playing games and doing school work, he needed more storage space. This drive was so easy to use and find in his laptop once its plugged in. He never had an external drive before and once he plugged it in he was comfortable with accessing it and saving games to it. It's fast and simple to use.

I do a lot of File Transferring, I own quite a bit of SSD Portables, some good some okay, until the T9 has made all the rest obsolete. (Terminated!) The speeds I get from the T9 is comparable to the speed of light! okay J/K, The T9 is a bit faster.. Seriously, this is a great portable for backing up files quickly, safely, and easy. No problems at all. I run the T9 through the Type C cable straight to the laptop with ease. I run two T7's Portables, Type-C flash Drive along with the T9 on a USB Hub to my laptop, through a new and old PC laptop, while multitasking running Apps, backing up files and I still see no hiccups or slower transfer speeds from the T9. The actual physical hardware of the T9 feels tough and well made in your hand, so accidental drops should be no problem at all. My only complaint is, I wish I ordered more than one! Which is what I'm about to do, a Portable SSD T9 4TB just for gaming! Thank You Samsung for raising the bar again!

However my main complaint/nitpick that I have with this SSD, is that being able to achieve the incredibly quick transfer speeds requires that you solely use the data transfer cable that comes included in the T9 SSD Box, as that cable, from my experience, is the only one that's capable of handling those transfer speeds with no connection interruptions. I have tested, and tried using other USB C highspeed data transfer cables, to see if those too could achieve the same transfer speeds, and not only was there a noticable transfer speed reduction, but also there were numerous cable connection interruptions that occured on my Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra, even though I did not unplug the cable on either the SSD or on my phone.

I had 28 mini SD memory cards with all my stuff on them, templates for college papers, tax return papers most importantly irreplaceable pictures and video's of my kids and family members throughout the years some of them no longer with us. To be able to keep everything in one place and know that I will never loose anything takes so much weight off my shoulders. I didn't even know I needed it and now I can't live without it

A lot of memory I don't even know if I'll be able to use it all which is a good thing. One of the main features I like about it is that the download and transfer speed is very fast.

I purchased my ssd 1tb and put every picture and video from the past 20 years on my Samsung portable ssd t9. Now when looking for pictures of a birthday party or Christmas it's quick and easy to find. I don't have to go through many different memory card trying to find one certain picture.

Flawless connection that works great with my MacBook Pro M3 Pro for Time Machine backups and other backup needs. Super fast transfer speeds to and from the drive. I especially like the SamsungMagician software that comes with the drive as it keeps me up to speed with the driver's health and stats. I would definitely recommend this drive, in any size, and I'd purchase one again.

I can now run multiple VMs concurrently without performance issues. The increased storage capacity also allows me to store more virtual machine images. This has greatly expanded my testing capabilities. Overall, I am very pleased with the drive's performance and reliability. I highly recommend this drive for anyone running virtual machines.

This ssd is extremely fast. I was able to move around about 500gb worth of files in seconds. It's the fastest and best SSD I've ever owned and I will not ever go to another brand again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont forget the Hest Sink. This product requires a heat sink. Nowhere in the instruxctions or packaging does it mention anything about needing a heat sink. Expensive mistake on my part. I bought a replacement and installed with the Artic heat sink and iv had no issues at all great load speeds.

I got this portable drive originally for videos, but I also have it set up for taking some of the load off the C drive. It has been reliable and fast after a couple of years being used in this way.
