The drive really did more than I expected. It is much faster than any other drives I had and I bought more of these drives. Now they are going to replace all the other drives I have from other manufacturers. Small, flat and fits in a pocket nicely. No setup problems. Right out of the box it recognized my MacBook Air and was set to begin storing information. I LOVE it. Yes, I'd recommend it to anyone. I got 2 different colors to keep the individual drives easily recognizable.

Product size is compact and slim - perfect for everyday use. It very much feels like holding a chocolate bar. Reading and writing speeds are efficient enough to swiftly download and run AAA games. Transferring files between my hard drives was also seamless. I appreciate the addition of the fingerprint security feature, in the event that the item is misplaced or lost (the files are inaccessible until the device is unlocked by password or fingerprint).

First of all, the only instructions in the box are how to plug it into your phone or computer which it just shows a picture of it being plugged in by USB. There are no use directions or instructions at all.
Secondly it has not been working as advertised, or at all I should say.
Tried on multiple Samsung phones, Z-fold 4, Z-flip, Galaxy 20... This is a Samsung drive, that does not work on Samsungs? But... how the...
All I got was a message things at the drive had been disconnected and I needed to restart my phone. I thought maybe The drive needed to be charged before I realized it's powered by the phone when it's plugged in.
I installed the app for Samsung SSD and also the Samsung portable SSD app 1.0.
At first I was able to open up the storage path that showed the available file folders. But after I closed and reopened the application, all I was able to do was change the name of the drive. I chose not to use security because I had seen some reviews warning about the problems with fingerprint and password recognition.
The app is completely useless. It will only allow me to change the name or enable security. I don't see any ability to view file folders or storage at all.
After reading countless reviews I've found some that say it doesn't work with a z-fold 4, or the Mac m1, or a lot of Android devices, which leaves me to wonder what the hell it does work with.
Extremely pathetic and disappointing for Samsung. First of all it's entirely unfriendly for the user. I suppose it's supposed to be intuitive, but it's as intuitive as a rock. It does nothing.
I'm scratching my head because I just keep feeling like there must be something else, it simply does.... nothing.
I've tried restarting the phones, I've tried both of the applications, I've tried without the applications, I've tried on different devices. There doesn't seem to be a way for this to properly work at all.
This attempt to be more like Apple, which honestly if I wanted I would buy a freaking apple, is entirely infuriating.
Include instructions, included user interface, don't require an app, or make an app that works. Seems like a really easy thing to create a hard drive... We've had them for a while now... And yet Samsung, which has been my preference for years, has fallen flat on their faces on this ridiculously endeavor.
I'm not going to screw around, I see so many reviews in the frustration of futility dealing with Samsung's customer service.
I don't have any idea how this could have possibly received such a high rating.
Shame on you Samsung. Go back to doing what made you Samsung, instead of Riding on apples wake.

Does not work with my M1 mac Mini
Purchase the drive months ago and never got it to work with the fingerprint. The system did not recognize the drive. I called customer service but they failed to resolve this problem. I know have an unsecured drive and files.

Wonderful and secure drive with great portability.
I bought this drive over a year ago and it has been performing wonderfully. The security system with the finger touch is amazing and is very beneficial. But the data that I have been story. The drive does not get too hot but does get a slightly warm. It is very nice and portable. As a precaution, I keep it in a secured case that is slim to carry. Backing up my phone onto. This drive is simple and fast.
I wish samsung would include some type of an application to figure the health condition of the drive. None of the samsung memory cards or drive have failed, but would be a nice touch to make sure that over so many years they would perform great. This way, we can backup our data. Even further in case is needed.

Fast read/write speeds and flawless fingerprint
I bought this 2 years ago and really happy with it. It has faster read/write speeds than any other hardrive I have. It's compact, the size of a credit card, light, and sturdy. Also the fingerprint reader is super fast and always recognizes my print every time. Can't ask for more. Drop it all the time but it's so light and compact that there isn't damage. I only wish I got a larger size of storage.

Easy to setup & login, fast speeds, multi-platform
Great portable drive, sufficient data transfer speeds and reasonable price. I own other portable drives, so when I decided I wanted more storage space, I had kept my eye on the "Touch" model because I like the ability to access the drive contents using my finferprints. I chose this over the Shield model that was also in consideration , I didn't have an absolute need for direct media storage. The ease of use with biometric login saving me time and hassle typing a password made it an easy choice.
I had issues connecting it with my Android devices until recently, (Software update?) But works flawlessly now.
Setup was quick and painless, the reader works well and I recommend this to anyone looking for a portable SSD.

Love it's linkability to cell phone photos & SDs
Looking for years for a convenient system to transfer photos from SD camera cards through Samsung cell and to cloud for safety. Finally, a simple and reliable system. Has great added security too. I don't enjoy taking a laptop on extended vacations, but want a reliable backup system with ease of convenience to transfer and save large RAW files. Thanks, with this & a small hub I can link all without an additional power device. Quicker transfer speeds than when using HDD drives. Love it.

My Tesla MY Met its Match
I bought the Samsung SSD T7 for my Tesla Model Y to record and save all the dashcam videos and with the 2TB i dont think i ever run out of juice from this SSD. The reliability of this SSD is unparalleled. I've been using it for several months now, putting it through all smooth and bumpy rides, and it hasn't skipped a beat. I have also complete peace of mind knowing that my data is safe and secure with this SSD. The compact design of the SSD is incredibly convenient and fits in a corner of the glove box.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Samsung SSD T7 USB 3.2. It has exceeded all of my expectations. Highly recommended!

Incredible little drive!
It's actually crazy to me how small and efficient portable drives are becoming. I have used several Western Digital portable HDDs in the past and it was bulky and the fans were loud. Fast forward to a portable SSD that is roughly the size of a credit card and very light weight. It's very quiet and convenient to take with me. The read write speeds are incredible. The slight rubberized texture is also a nice feature to make sure I don't drop it easily

Great external SSD drive
Bought this a month ago, it's an amazing device, fast, really small and convenient. We'll see in the future if it's reliable but for now I have no complaints.

Extremely simple
Such a wonderful product. I am so happy with the choice I made to purchase the external hard drive. It's got plenty of space and is secured by fingerprint or password. Simply amazing.

The best portable and secure memory drive.
This product is secure/safe to use and very convenient and reliable when you need to access files such as videos/ photos or documents. It is very slim and portable it can fit in any pocket for transport. It's the most trustworthy on the market in my humble opinion.

This should be known to all by now.
I bought this without knowing too much about it. I wish I would have picked up many more. This drive is the diamond, diamond star and still light-years ahead of the competition. Either I'm just buying bottom of the barrel with the competition, or this drive is really that great. After asking others how they feel, no. This drive is really that good. The speed alone is well worth the regular price which isn't really above the competition. This drive is rugged. Mine has dents all over it, scratched up. Had a fun trip through the washing machine, works as if Nothing happened to it. I wouldn't recommend anyone doing what I've done by accident to electronics. Just knowing that this drive had at least one succeed in living with that much things happening to it should tell you that your chances are much better with this drive than others on the market.

This SSD is very special because it is password encrypted and on devices that you don't want to install the software you can just scan your finger

Perfect Touch
The best backup for its size and features. Almost invisible but for a spinning blue light. I liked the first one so much, I bought a second one. And if I had the need for it, it would again be my first choice. Rock solid. Easy to install and maintain. It just works.

Awesome convenience!
I've had my Portable T7 2TB for 3 months and use it daily. It's compact size fits in my satchel easily so it's available quickly when needed throughout the day. It pairs quickly with my Galaxy Book Pro 360 and my Chromebook which are part of my everyday carry loud out. The pre installed software suite is actually useful and not full of bloatware. I would recommend this product for your everyday and long-term data storage and transport needs.

Great little SSD! Though not perfect.
I got this awhile ago, though I more recently got a T7 without touch locking and find myself using that one more frequently, often. There is a smoothness also to not worrying if you pressed the touch exactly right to unlock it, but it's still a cool feature, and a handy thing to have, especially if one wants to go traveling and feel safer about the protection of their data, especially if one is a creative type like myself.

Awesome Secure Portable Lightweight SSD
I purchased this from a retailer for the immediate necessity and the Samsung brand [wouldve bought directly from Samsung Shop but I needed it quickly]. I absolutely love this portable Touch SSD! I have 5 other portable drives and this by far is the fastest and flexible storage device EVER!! The added touch fingerprint affords confidence in the security of my work documents. The fact the SSD is credit card size and lightweight shocks my friends and family; and gives me a chuckle each time I show it off. Everyone is amazed and states "NO WAY". Ty for creating a wonderful, portable lightweight, and affordable product!

Nice little piece of technology
I really like this device and its built in thumb print reader for extra security. I did find it works better with Windows products than Mac products but this could also just be an error on my part. For the price it is a great value and it is almost the size of a credit card and packed with memory.
