Awesome Monitor
Great monitor for the money. I was tired of using the monitor on my laptop so I bought this Samsung monitor to enlarge the view and it has been awesome! When I travel out of town I do not bring it with me, so I am back using the 17 inch monitor on my laptop, wow what a huge difference it makes to have that Samsung Monitor at home all the time now.

Budget Giant: Samsung 32\" S39GD Monitor Review
Samsung 32" S39GD Essential Monitor — Review
The short version: a solid budget monitor for desk work and casual use, but 1080p stretched over 32 inches is the elephant in the room.
What's good
•
Price — around $149–$219 depending on sales; hard to beat for a 32" panel from a real brand. Samsung's own page shows a 4.5-star rating from 25 reviews.
•
100Hz refresh rate — noticeably smoother than 60Hz for scrolling, video, and casual gaming.
•
VA panel with 3000:1 contrast — deep blacks for the price; the 1500R/1800R curve adds immersion for office work and streaming.
•
Eye comfort — TÜV-certified Eye Saver Mode + flicker-free; fine for long work sessions.
•
Matte display — no mirror-like reflections in bright rooms.
•
Built-in speakers (on some variants) and Game Mode for basic tweaks.
What's not
•
Pixel density is rough — 1080p on a 32" screen is ~69 PPI. Text looks soft and pixels are visible up close. If you sit within arm's length for text work, you'll notice it. A 27" 1440p is crisper for the same desk.
•
Dim at 250 nits — fine indoors, but don't expect it to hold up in a sunlit room.
•
Connectivity is dated — 1× HDMI 1.4 + a D-Sub (VGA) port on the base model; no DisplayPort on some SKUs, and don't expect 100Hz over that VGA.
•
Tilt-only stand, no height adjustment — VESA 75×75 is supported, so budget for an arm if ergonomics matter.
•
Built-in speakers are 1W and barely adequate; response time is 4ms, so competitive gaming is out.
Verdict: Buy it if you want a big, cheap, easy-on-the-eyes screen for work, school, or streaming — $150 for 32" is genuinely good value. Skip it if sharpness matters to you (text, code, design) or you game seriously; save up for 27" 1440p instead.

Great Picture for the Size!
This little TV has the best picture I've seen for the price! It works great in my camper bedroom which can be very bright during the day but truly shines when it's dark out. It's just a great TV for under $150.

Clear and bright display
The picture is bright and clear, and the colors look accurate right out of the box. Setup was simple and the stand feels sturdy on my desk.

Do not buy for vesa mounting
I was very disappointed in the design of the monitor stand. To remove the whole stand, you have to remove the back of the monitor. I was specifically going to use the vesa mount that is on the back, but the non-removable mount continued to protrude. So, I had a vesa mounted monitor with this piece still attached to the back. I have purchased Samsung on multiple video products but will no longer buy this brand.

New monitor, no sound
Just bought less than 12 hours ago from “third party retailer” monitor has no sound unless plugged into our sound bar. Thought monitor could turn on when turning on console but I guess not? Kinda disappointed in Samsung and that says a lot since I convinced my man to spend the extra money for it cause Ive always been a Samsung fan. Is it a manufacturing issue? How do I get a new one? Should i just return it?

Overall an absolutely amazing monitor
I personally use this monitor as my second monitor and usually curved screens have a “sweet spot” in order to look good but this monitor looks amazing no matter where i adjust it. I usually watch youtube or sports gaming and it just looks stunning even for the specs

After some adjuments i found them really good
I just bought two of this monitors, fortunately i didn't bought them considering the audio, which is really bad. I found that both monitors behave differently with the same configurations, i needed to configure the "Black level" on one of them to Low to make it look like the other. After that adjustment everything looks really good. For a low budget option this monitor works perfect for my work purposes. I don't expect to use it for gaming but i'm pretty sure it may work fine as well for that purpose.

Perfect for my setup
My original monitor which wasn't older version of this, but white finally broke after almost 10 years so I got this to replace it being the newer version, what I didn't like about the old one they fixed, and now you can actually remove the entire stand rather than having that fixed knob hanging out.So you're able to hang it. Otherwise, I've always thought this monitor was great. The picture and sound, we're good, not the greatest and definitely not the worst, but perfect for my uses which is mainly design and work related items.
It's sleek, slim, durable and reasonably priced.
I would definitely recommend.

Very smooth
I’ve been really happy with this Samsung monitor. The 27-inch screen is a great size without taking up too much space, and the picture looks clear and sharp for everyday use. The 100Hz refresh rate also makes scrolling and moving around feel noticeably smoother. It was easy to set up, and overall it’s a solid monitor for the price

ContrasT Great Monitor
We had to get another computer to do online work and it works Great with other computers. We had to dumb down the contrast on this computer to go with my other computer. The clarity is amazing. I don't use the brightness to much because the blue-screen is great on it. It does not hurt my eyes late at night. I have not had any troubles with this computer at all and I've had it for a couple years now.
