The picture is awesome, of course, but they've also improved the processing, the audio, the Hub, the structure of the TV... everything. On top of that the Picture Quality is outstanding the colors pop out at you and the focus is amazing you can walk right up to the tv andit stays perfectly clear. I tied it together with Q900 sound bar and the Q-Symphony is like being in a movie theater. I am beyond happy with this tv. I am including a photo of the TV it's on a 18' wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best future tv I have ever smart Excellent video, upscale regular 4k and processes it to a higher resolution. Easy to set up, lighter than most 85" TVs because it uses an additional media box that can be placed with your other components or attached to the back of the TV and hides all cords. Love that it connects to smartthings and can now view video cams connected to our security system. Few instructions were included but it is fairly simple and intuitive to figure out. The sound in the TV is mediocre. Most who purchase this TV will have their own Audio system bit the TV sound is fine for regular TV. Movies and music you will want a sound bar and subwoofer. Roku works ok to turn everything on, but Roku has not updated their software to fully control this TV. The One Connect is very convenient and reduces the weight of the TV by about 15 pounds. Also love the minimal border which is only about 1/4" at the bottom and 1/8" on the top and sides. Set up to use Bixby or Alexa which I don't care for. It was advertised as Google Assistant and have not figured how to connect it yet. Lots of default apps but I have not found Nest or Google yet. Samsung internet and about another 100 apps like Tubi and Prime are standard. Overall love it so far. My previous TVs have all been Sony which I love so this is a change. Impressive video, mediocre sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The sound is not good The sound in this tv is not good, very low it’s on the side of the tv and if I try to listen louder the tv vibrates and on the first week we got the tv strips started to show eventually it stop but sometimes it shows again, the other weird thing if I try to take a photo of the tv screen it shows a dark cloud on the photo like the tv is possessed. Overall I would not buy a Samsung again, specially for the price we paid it was supposed to be really really good. I always had Sony and when it comes time to buy another one I’ll go back to Sony.

I opted for the 8K model to ensure I always get the best color depth, even though 8K content is still relatively scarce in the market. As promised, the TV has wide viewing angles, providing a crisp and clear view from any angle. The only downside of this massive screen is that it lacks anti-glare technology. In dark scenes or at night, it can appear almost like a mirror.

There were times when the screen would go white and there was wording that would pop up as if it was computer code. The TV base is strong and sturdy. You have to make sure it's secured well otherwise it can easily fall off the mount.

I’ve had several compliments of my neighbors here at my golf course and they love the picture and all of the abilities that this TV has. I will always from now on by 8K from Samsung. Also, I have purchased over 25 Samsung TVs personally and through my practice.

My family makes fun of me because I can spend hours watching premium 8k content on YouTube to test out the picture quality of this beast. It’s as good a visual experience you can get, and the speakers even seem to be Dolby ATMOS compatible because several times during movies guests would swear they heard sounds from above or behind us. That’s not something I ever thought I’d get with tv speakers. The one knock currently is there’s just not enough 8K content, and sometimes the tv remote can be finicky. But very minor issues compared to everything else we’re getting. Not the best bang for the buck, but certainly the highest quality tv I’ve ever seen.

It's clear and clear enough to see the pores of the actors in the TV. And listen carefully, housewives. It's so easy to clean behind the TV. I highly recommend it. You won't regret your choice. Samsung customer service (chat id# 13415256) was immediately contacted to open a ticket to report the TV broke in transit, pictures of the broken TV provided, and a request to return the TV was made. I have contacted Samsung customer service 13 times over chat and numerous phone calls amounting to close to 8 hours to resolve this issue. Samsung charged me a restocking fee of $348 for returning the TV. Samsung is refusing to refund me for the stocking fee as the service representative who generated the ticket marked the wrong option for return. My 13 chats and numerous calls with Samsung have been nothing short of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have always been a Samsung user, but I will certainly be weighing my loyalty to the brand after the extremely frustrating past 2 months. I am not someone to post reviews, but after this experience, I felt it necessary to warn others of the lack of support they should expect post-order.

It exceeds most of my expectations, and is a relief after my 1 month disastrous experience with the 85 inch Sony Bravia 9 which I replaced with my current QN 900D. Any new customer to the QN 900D will most likely need support like I did, and Samsung support has been superb. I even got a Samsung technician to come to my home in less than a week after I first spoke to Samsung customer support. On the other hand, 4 months later, and I'm still waiting for Sony's regional client and sakes manager. This TV is really smart, and it continues to learn from my sources, and improve picture quality from them, especially in SDR. HDR picture quality us best in Filmmaker mode, while still giving one lots of options to meet one's picture preferences. I'm really glad there are no streaming source calibrated modes. My one and only gripe is the stand. It is cheap looking and not sturdy, and the center stand placement is likely to make most media stands bow in the middle. I installed Two 660lb appliance moving wheels to my Salamander cabinet as it severely biwed the cabinet. Don't move the TV without help. To adjust position on yiur media stand, totally lift it up,otherwise the cheap adhesive (and white) feet will dis-lodge from the front bottom!

It's like I could just walk right into the nature scene on this magnificent TV! When gaming It feels like I've been transported from my chair right into this game. It almost feels like VR!! I have to check most of the time to make sure I'm still in my chair!!! Oh and watching Sports for get about it! It's like I'm at the plate waiting for the pitch or on the 10 yard line waiting for the snap. Wow Wow Wow!!!! I'm just blown away by the technology that's in this masterpiece of a television. Are as I call it now My Teleportation Device!!! The only thing that comes to mind is Wow and Breathtakingly Amazing!!! Thank You!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV Damaged on Arrival - Samsung Refuses to Replace I purchased this TV on August 2 2024 along with delivery and installation by Samsung's delivery service. Delivery was not available until August 15. The delivery crew did not install. I was told to contact the delivery service to schedule installation separately. The delivery services was not available to install until today September 6, and the TV stayed in the factory sealed box until the installation crew opened it (noting that the box was in good condition - clearly the TV was damaged before it was placed in the box for shipment). When the installation crew installed the TV, they discovered a crack through the entire screen. After spending several hours on the phone with Samsung today and being transferred back and forth to different departments, I was told that I was outside of the 15 day return period, and so my only options were (i) buy a new tv - but Samsung offered a discount or (ii) pay for repairs, and the warranty would be voided. I explained that any 15 day period should not being to run until after installation because until then, Samsung had not completed its obligations under our contract, but Samsung refused to extend the return period as well as multiple requests to speak to a supervisor. The installation was not scheduled for more than 15 days after delivery. I did not ask for a refund (or even a price differential due to the hassle or that the price of the TV is $1500 cheaper now) - I just want the TV for which I paid a considerable amount of money to not be damaged upon arrival. The resolutions offered by Samsung are unbelievable. I purchased the TV directly from Samsung thinking I would receive better customer service than from a retailer. Big mistake.

I ordered the TV the end of March but it was held in delivery until April 22 by the delivery company. But, they said I only had until April 13 to get a replacement (which was obviously impossible). Samsung won't stand by their poorly packaged TV during delivery and now I'm stuck with a $7,000 paperweight? Besides this, the TV isn't even reviewing well and it's one of the lowest rated TVs from the 2024 models so do yourself a favor and look at a different brand that has better ratings and a lower price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed in both the TV and Samsung Review for QN900D model No. QN85GN900DFXZA If I could give Samsung zero stars on this TV I would. I strongly recommend that you spend your hard-earned money on a TV other than this one. I purchased this TV in April 2024 from Best Buy, just as it was released. As I bought multiple Samsung TVs at the same time, by the time I got to opening and installing this TV, i was outside the Best Buy return policy by 1 day. To assist with my issues, Best Buy directed that I work directly with Samsung. The TV has never functioned properly. Initially it would randomly turn on at all hours, turn off while you are watching it, and then randomly power cycle repeatedly. On the first in-home third-party tech visit they could see a number of error codes and the CPU and one-connect cord were replaced. This however did not correct all of the problems. We have had an electrician and our network provider confirm there are no issues with the power supply or network in our home. We have continued to have issues with the TV randomly powering off. Sometimes once a day, sometimes 10 times in 20 minutes, etc. There is no pattern and it seems to affect various media sources - Disney, Netflix, Youtube, Samsung's prepopulated channels, etc. Next, I scheduled a second in-home repair appointment only to have Samsung cancel the appointment the day of, without notification to me. I was never given an explanation. When we rescheduled the appointment, a third-party Samsung tech came out and next replaced the power unit. That second 'repair' still did not correct the problem - the TV continues to turn off and not work appropriately. Today, just over 4 months from the day of purchase, was yet another third-party tech visit. The samsung tech called samsung, and Samsung support stated that there was a known issue with an "App communication issue". The Samsung tech said that they had now seen it in another new TV of the same model. So I asked the tech what Samsung was going to do, give me a new TV as a replacement as clearly this TV, or the software within the TV is not working as advertised and does not appear repairable? And he said no, they aren't recommending to do anything. And so he made no attempt to repair my non-functioning TV. I was given the run-around directive to call support again. . . support just schedules the repair people. In addition to the in-home visits described above, we have conducted numerous trouble shooting exercises, and had engineers 'remote in' to the TV. None of which have been able to resolve the problem. What is interesting is my new frame TV doesn’t have an app communication issue. Nor do any other Samsung TVs in the house. How a customer could spend any amount on a TV with a stated 'warranty' (let alone an $8k TV) without a brand being willing to stand behind that 100% after attempting 3 in person repairs, and countless ‘remote’ repairs is completely lost on me. As a household of nothing but Samsung TVs at present, I can assure you that won't be the case in the future. Dont make the mistake we did. Buy something other than this TV. And take a chance on a brand other than Samsung. For Samsung, I will be more than happy to provide my BestBuy order number to substantiate my purchase.

AI does not significantly improve the image nor the speakers have much base to them. My 6 year old QLED from samsung has just as good picture and better speakers. The most frustrating part is that IT RESTARTS ON ITS OWN! very frustrating to say the least not to mention main GUI if filled with "recommendations" and apps most wont ever use.

As an avid sports fan, I got this new model as and actual upgrade from the 2019 8K Samsung model. It certainly did not disappoint. The gen 3 processer of course upscales from 4k to as close as possible to 8k. For those of us who are focused on the slightest differences, you will absolutely see the difference. The sound that is on board, is also a major upgrade from my previous model. I do have a Bose surround system to give it that extra juice, but no complaints at all with the TV speakers alone. I don't get deep into all the specifics and numbers with reviews I write. That may be how some people do it and that is more than fine, but ai like the straight shooter kind of reviews, so this is my preferred style. The upgrade from a 75 to an 85 inch screen is absolutely noticeable. Sports and movies are viewed at a whole new level. The immersion is truly remarkable. The remote is scaled down which is nice and the back of the remote has a small solar panel which can recharge just from the lights on in a room or sunlight that comes in naturally. A neat and innovative plus. This is the best TV I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. The price may scare some people off, but it's an investment and it's worth the stretch 100% Well done Samsung!

I purchased this TV twice, and on both occasions, the TV arrived with a damaged screen. This points to either horrible packaging or a negligent delivery service. Both times, I reached out to Samsung for a replacement, and each time, I was flatly denied. Instead, I had to go through the tedious process of returning the TV myself. Adding insult to injury, I bought the TV during Samsung's Black Friday sale, securing a great price. I initially selected delivery, but Samsung unilaterally changed my order to in-store pickup at Best Buy. When I reached out to rectify this, I was told delivery was not possible—a blatant lie, as Samsung has delivered to my address before. As a disabled Veteran, I made it clear that I cannot transport an 85-inch TV, but my concerns were ignored. The situation worsened when I was forced to return the damaged TV myself because Samsung claimed they couldn’t pick it up, citing the delivery change. Best Buy refused to replace or exchange the TV for the same reason. The first return was a nightmare, but I was reassured that if I reordered the TV, Samsung would price match. Yet, after reordering, I was informed that I’d have to wait until all items were delivered before the price match could even be processed. Now, I’ve received the second TV (12/20/2024), only to find the screen damaged again. Despite my efforts to handle it with care during unboxing, the same issue persists. When I contacted Samsung, I was once again told they wouldn’t replace or exchange the TV. Instead, I am expected to return it and wait up to 15 days for a refund—leaving me without the product I purchased and out of pocket for weeks. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Samsung's refusal to take responsibility and resolve these issues shows a complete disregard for their loyal customers. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on Samsung products over the years, yet they treat me like an afterthought. If this is how Samsung values its customers, I cannot in good conscience recommend their products or services. They’ve lost a loyal customer, and I will take my business elsewhere. This experience has been a stark reminder that Samsung prioritizes sales over satisfaction.

I watch the 85 inch 8 K 99% of the time. I have the Samsung flagship surround sound to go with it and although most of the reviews for the surround system are fantastic,I don't care for it. There's not enough base for my preference. Although it does sound good. I also own a Samsung fold phone. I am Samsung all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOA It might be a good TV, if it worked. I ordered here directly from Samsung, and TV arrived DOA. Half the screen covered with a big white blob. Lots of horizontal and vertical lines all over. I contacted Samsung customer service, they said they couldn't replace it, that I had to return it, then buy another one, and then give them $1300 extra for the trouble. I finally spoke to a supervisor, that said they could sell me another one at the same price, and that the return would take a few days to process. ok, fair enough. Return was requested 28 Nov, the next day there has been no change so I ask for a status update. 30 Nov, I get an email stating that 'the team' is trying to expedite the investigation. 2 Dec, I get an email stating that the issue is resolved. So I check the website, and no changes. I send several emails to the address for the customer service supervisor, with no response. 5 Dec, I get back on the customer service chat, which representative states that the return needs to be reprocessed. This is one week after the the original return request date. 6 Dec, I get back on the chat and the representative once again tries to re-initiate the return. From my perspective, these are clear delay tactics. Though finally, upon multiple requests to speak to a supervisor, the order status changed to "return requested". I'll update this review as things progress (assuming I'm not censored).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty Samsung 85" Neo QLED 8K QN900D – Terrible E I purchased the 85" Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D directly from Samsung, and it was delivered on October 30, 2024. When it works, the image quality is fantastic—when it turns on. Unfortunately, after exactly 67 days, on January 4th, the TV failed to power on. I created a support ticket (#4179326853) for repairs, but when I contacted Samsung customer service the following day, I received no helpful assistance. In fact, the call was abruptly ended without any resolution or even a follow-up ticket provided. This TV was a special Christmas gift for my family, chosen specifically for watching NFL games on a large screen to help with my failing eyesight. As of now, I'm missing Week 18 and most likely the playoffs as well. I am extremely disappointed with the product’s performance and appalled by the lack of support from Samsung.

To convince myself the I made a decent purchase, I have gone to YouTube to view their 8K videos- that’s when this TV shines. So overall, I would say that I expect to be happy about this purchase. It is difficult to navigate. I do not find it intuitive. I. Found that many adjustments are needed to get an optimum image. Sound is meh. The most difficult or frustrating issue is the app or App Store. I am not sure where the TV is going to look into the “pool of apps”? I cannot find the apps I use and have on older TVs. Also, I do not know if there are adjustments for the up scaling that is supposedly going on. May I turn it off, can I tweak it, what variables can be modified if any? There is info about turning off automatic play. I found an interaction that I was able to switch off, but my route to it was not the same as the posted instructions- they talk about selecting something in the upper right of the screen. There are no options for anything in the upper right of the screen (everything is to the left of the screen). I state that because I am not 100% sure if I have toggled off the correct item. The automatic play is still annoyingly present. The TV vomits advertisements at you everywhere. I am trying (and hoping) to clean up the Home Screen to reduce the mountain of garbage that always greets me. I trudge onward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV but bad WiFi This TV overall has been great. Granted I had to have the screen replaced as it started separating from the frame but Samsung was good in that process. The WiFi capabilities is my major criticism. I’ve had to use an AppleTV as my smart hub because the built in wireless card seems sub par at best. Additionally, the Arc connection seems to constantly receive signals from my Bose soundbar making the TV turn on randomly - so can’t use that feature which was also causing TV to take forever to turn off (or not turn off at all). Still…incredible picture and awesome aesthetics (borderless frame allowed me to fit it above my fireplace where every other 85” would not fit). When on sale, I’d definitely buy this TV again!

This is my second 8K TV; I upgraded from a QN800A, and that was a great TV, so I was expecting to see some level of improvement with the flagship 900D; however, I was shocked by just how good the 900D is! Design: Because the 900D uses a one-connect box, this unit is ridiculously slim, and when wall-mounted with the slim fit mount, looks even better on the wall than my 77" OLED does. Although it's 85" it blends into my living room really well. The perforated design on the sides and top/bottom give the TV a very tech-forward look. I can't speak to the floor stand as I've never used Remote: It gets the job done, but really at this level I'd expect something that at a minimum was backlit and didn't look so cheap Tizen: So far, so good. Not my favorite OS, but it's been working well thus far. No complaints AI Enhancements: While I was really excited to try them out, I honestly think it adds a layer of fakery to the image that is very noticeable. I would keep that turned off if I were you Picture Quality: This TV has easily the best image quality of any TV I have had, and that includes OLED. Yes, OLED has better blacks/contrast, but this TV shines in my living room, where there is a lot of indirect light. It gets incredibly bright, which is something my OLED cannot match. In addition, the level of clarity is excellent. I have this hooked up to a PS%, gaming PC (with an RTX 5090), and Switch 2, and they all look great. I run games in 8k and it looks stunning on this TV.

I use the Samsung TV for Live TV and Movie streaming. I have experienced Samsung TV Plus, which is a GREAT feature. I even replaced my cable box with it! The picture quality is INSANE 8K, a HUGE upgrade from 1080p Full HD. I even have a Samsung soundbar and the surround sound is LIKE WALKING INTO a CINEMA! I have enjoyed the bigger size 85" AMAZING, so I love the TV altogether!

The technology on this TV if there is a 4k signal it will push it to 8k. Gaming is great frame rate is spot on no delays ultimately the best purchase I've made. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This screen is absolutely immersive! This screen (QN900D 85") is absolutely fantastic! I had a previous Samsung 85" 8K display from the 800 series. Long story short, I broke it during a room remodel. I loved that TV too, but I can definitely see differences. First, the smoothing effect vs. older format video is so much better. 4K and 8K material is scarily detailed. Second, the integration with our Q-Symphony Samsung system is noticeably more "surround" in our theater room. Very happy with this set!

I recently watched until dawn which had a lot of dark scenes, and the tv was pitch black with no hallows or anything blooming effects. I will say the back panel was peeling off but I called the warranty team and had it all replaced. Super happy with this tv. Will keep it for 20+ years. 8K is truly sharp and awesome and HUGE

The display is sharp, the brightness is more than adequate, and the smart features run smoothly with very little lag. The sound quality is also solid for a TV of this size, and the design looks sleek and modern. The only downside I’ve noticed is a minor issue with the colors. Occasionally, certain tones seem slightly oversaturated or off compared to other screens I own. It’s not a dealbreaker and can likely be fine-tuned in the settings, but it’s something to be aware of if color accuracy is critical for you. Despite that, it’s still a fantastic TV for movies, gaming, and streaming. With a little calibration, it could be nearly perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture quality is very good when there is one We only use the tv to watch cable shows or Netflix or Paramount + or Prime . The picture quality is very good when we have one. Unfortunately from day one we kept having episodes of loss of signal. Would have to turn off tv then on again to get picture back. NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE WITH THE 70 INCH SHARP SET IT REPLACED. Which by the way is now in our living room and we still have no issues with the Sharp tv. Techs from the installing company have been here many times with no luck we even had a Samsung tech come to our home still no luck. I even replaced my cable box thinking maybe it was the problem no luck. So I have a $4500 TV we have to keep turning on and off all nite to watch shows BTW never had this issue till the new TV And the old Sharp TV is still working perfectly in another room

A couple of weeks ago it just shut off in the middle of the evening news and wouldn’t turn back on. It wasn’t an outlet or a breaker issue as everything else plugged in on that side of the family room worked. It wasn’t the remote or its batteries. We’re not getting a whole lot of help so I went to Walmart and bought a big screen LG which works fantastic like all the other LG’s we’ve had….VERY disappointed in this Samsung! The second TV is having an issue that I also had with first TV. Samsung support was not able to resolve the issue. I also found online that this issue is common. No suggested solutions have solved the issue of tv powering itself on frequently. Expensive TV that's unsatisfactory.

This is 85" of marvel and you will enjoy watching the content automatically fine tuned to display in 8K quality. With wireless box there is less hassle of multiple wiring to your actual TV, making it more clean setup. Out of the box with installation added it was quick few mins, and the TV was ready to go. Love the look and elegance of this 85" beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture when it's not broken... The first Samsung 8K TV broke just after the three years. It could not be repaired. I then got another brand new Samsung 8K TV and it also broke only 3 months after it was delivered and installed. The HDMI ports would not work. Samsung sent out their technicians and replaced the motherboard and it's been working fine... for now. When the TV is working the picture is top quality clear. I also have another 75 inch Samsung in my guestroom and it was also purchased brand new and within 6 months that TV also broke and the Samsung technicians had to come out at least 3-4 times that month to finally repair it.
