Great Pic
i bought this and installed this tv for my media room. i built it out as a theater and my kids love it. we use this on a regular basis, i can't watch tv in any other room, and i have samsung tvs in every room. i have had no problems with it to date. the samsung direct price was better than costco or best buy. came with free delivery and warranty.

Very bad luck
i guess it was a very bad luck or samsung quality goes down. i always had samsung tvs but this one was a big headache. quality of picture is good but main problem is panel. i ve noticed a few bright spots in different places on screen. i contacted samsung and they sent new panel and a few weeks later i ve noticed a big white spot in the middle of screen and dark one a few inches above it. so i contacted samsung again and they sent one more panel. and that one had damaged corner ( big white spot) as well right after installation. 3 bad panels out of 3. it's in the process of refund now because samsung doesn't have these panels available in stock otherwise they insisted on sending another panel (no thnx). $3k brand new tv with so many replacements.

Poor warranty and customer service
I purchased the 85" model for $3,300 2.5 years ago and it stopped working. Samsung said it only had a 1 year warranty so it's not under warranty anymore. Samsung stated they don't service my area so they can't fix it either. They offered me a 10% discount on another TV with a 2 year warranty....

Great TV - Like a Movie Theater at Home
We replace our 14 year old TV when it died this summer with an 85" Q80T TV. Our family could not be happier with the decision. We like the smart tv interface and we are able to stream our favorite shows. We mainly watch movies and sports and have had a great experience.

A really good TV with an ATMOS problem.
this tv has a problem passing through dolby atmos source material. using the tv's atmos pass-through feature, the audio periodically drops out for 1 to 2 seconds. once in a great while the atmos audio drops out completely. the tv needs to be turned off and back on to get the audio back. this is unacceptable for the how much this tv costs.

Complete let down.
if you plan on using the hdmi(arc) option. dont by this tv. it doesn't work and even with the recent update on deck it still showed no improvement. so i'm stuck using the optical option and have more than 1 remote to handle satellite tv and sound bar. went through 4 sound bars and hdmi arc still never connected properly. you won't get any sound from it. frustrating and of course i'm kinda stuck with it since they can't pick it up for a return. sorry its tough for me to box a 85 inch tv up for return.
wifi has trouble connecting to, sees the strong signal just takes awhile to connect and it tends to drop signal which then stops any smart features you enabled on the tv.

Product Quality Has Declined
6 .5mo in, the hmdi 3 (arc) input stopped working. did remote management with a samsung pro with no success. a tech will be out to look at it. i am very disappointed that this is even an issue and speaks to product quality. when you spend over $3k on a tv, it should not have any issues.
speaking of issues, i purchased this tv to replace a 75" samsung. i purchased the 75" in 2013. the 75" stopped working last year. it is the least used of all our tv's (i also have a 46", 60" and 32"). my 46" was the first ledtv samsung put out on the market and is our primary tv. it gets the most use and has had no issues. product quality recently has gone bad.
