Rated 5 out of 5 by from What Could Have Been Let me preface this statement by saying I have only ever owned Samsung TVs and don’t have any plans to change moving forward. Their quality and durability has allowed me to avoid purchasing a new TV every 2-4 years to keep up with technology. That said, there aren’t many things in life that can damage the psyche more than regretting an expensive purchase and I fear that is what happened with my new QN55S90 TV. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the picture as the Samsung badge can always guarantee. However, there aren’t enough bad words in the English language to paint a picture for how useless the Samsung Tizen OS is. I would even venture to say it’s the worst OS on *any* device I’ve ever used. Between the head scratching interface that would put any grandparent in an early grave and constant app failures, I genuinely cannot think of one positive thing to say about it. I have owned the TV for 6 months and have deleted and reinstalled apps more than 20x. Exacerbating this issue, Samsung buried the reinstall feature deep in the settings menu. Additionally, you would assume the home button means always landing on the same page since it has a designated button on the remote but alas it takes you to the top of the page you are on (I.e. If you’re watching cable on the “home” page and switch to the Game tab and click the home button, you go to the top of the game tab — not the designated “home” page. I’m out of characters already? You’ll love this TV (w/ a streaming stick)

For one thing it is coupled with Google, which is totally obnoxious because, as only Google can do, it tries to infer itself into things as simple as changing channels. It has a good picture, and I have been a pretty loyal Samsung customer, but this is a nonstarter for me.

Simplicity is, in principle, a good thing, and the design of the remote makes it appear to be a simple device. It is not up the actual complexity of the cable-plus-streaming environment of TV watching today, however, and switching from one platform to another--each of which operates differently--is a nightmare. It makes watching TV extremely difficult, interferes with the actual watching, and disrupts what is supposed to be an enjoyable experience.

I sent it back to the store where I bought it from it has been over a week and they still don’t know how to fix it. Never in my life ever ever had a TV completely fail after only eight months. Will never again purchase a Samsung television.

My only complaint is with the Terrible, Horrible, absolute no-good "miniature" remote. It's too small, and the volume adjustment is only a few millimeters from the "Netflix" button. So, it's easy to mistakenly activate the Netflix channel when simply trying to change the volume. What a Horrible design! Please make a better remote!

It sits above my fireplace in a room that has a wall of windows that allows tons of sunlight. However, the bright room has little if any effect whatsoever on the beautiful picture. By the way, this OLED replaced a Samsung QLED that seemingly would have better picture quality in a bright room. I beg to differ!

It has given us quite a bit of watching enjoyment in all this time, more so than any other TV I've ever owned! About a month ago (fortunately) still under warranty, the screen went out. Through Samsung customer service, I was able to schedule a technician to come to the house. Setting up the appt was very easy. Continuous follow-up and confirmation continued until the scheduled day. The technician arrived and had the replacement screen functioning with in a half hour. There was no mess and he cleaned up everything and took all the boxing, etc with him. The TV is working perfectly again. We didn't realize how much we do enjoy it until it stopped working!

The issue that I have is that it is glitchy with the internet connections, regularly not connecting and needing to be unplugged and reset. My other old TV with a Roku was much more reliable.

Need to consideration of direction and position of speakers including hinged and frontward adjus- table. 2. Audio output option. I like to have bluetooth earphones when I watch TV. So when I do that Way, my wife can not hear TV sound. That is why I suggest one more sound output option that is "TV speakers + Bluetooth " together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Visuals, Stumbling Software The Good: Hardware-wise, this TV is a masterpiece. The picture quality is incredible, with the deep, inky blacks and vibrant color pop that only OLED can deliver. HDR content looks fantastic, and if you are a gamer, the 144Hz refresh rate and 4 HDMI 2.1 ports make it a dream for PS5 or PC gaming. It is easily one of the best-looking panels on the market this year. The Bad: The experience falls apart when you pick up the remote. Samsung's Tizen OS feels cluttered, sluggish, and unintuitive. Simple tasks, like changing settings or switching inputs, take too many clicks, and the home screen is often bogged down by sponsored content and ads rather than the apps I actually use. The Verdict: It's a fantastic TV and it has all the bells and whistles. I really wanted to love the total package, but I find myself missing some user friendly settings and features found elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features, Sloooow Performance! The S90D is an excellent TV that defines what an OLED picture should be. It's vibrant colors, deep blacks, and outstanding viewing angles are of course the strong points of having an OLED. but where the TV shines is in its features, split screen and the gaming hub being a couple of my favorites with the addition of being able to deep fine tuning the picture is always a plus. Unfortunately having this feature pack TV comes at the cost of its speed & performance. Long loading times for popular apps, random picture freezing (when streaming) , clunky UI and menu settings all here makes accessing content on the S90D pretty much tedious and rather joy ripping at times. Now could alot of these issues be fix with future software updates? Possibly. But for these issues to come straight out of a new box on a premium TV from a brand as reputable as Samsung is quite disappointing to say at the least, and does make me question rather I should look elsewhere when it is time to upgrade my next TV.

The only issue is that it sometimes jumps to a magnified picture and I see only 25% of broadcast image. I usually just go to another channel and then come back and that stops it. This doesn't happen often but I deducted a star for it.

Almost makes me wish that I had gone for the next size larger. Great contrast, especially with night scenes. I can actually see what is happening instead of looking at a black screen. My set is used for entertainment primarily so I watch it lot of movies and episodic shows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed in 3 weeks Bought new. Looked fine. Nice picture. Good sound w new receiver. However, within 3 weeks of purchase the TV went up sleep and would not wake up. Warranty claim is ongoing. First, no one registered my problem with the TV after the first call to Samsung. That was revealed in a second call a week later. 2nd call started the repair process. Local repair can't get parts, so we need to replace. OK. After several sending of serial numbers several times, a second "ticket" was issued. By now, 3+ weeks have gone by. I was offered an exchange and I agreed to the terms. I was told Samsung would need to approve - that would be 3 business days. 5 days have passed. No information, no status updates, no response from "case manager". Samsung website to track your repair doesn't even show that I have an entry. The ticket number shows nothing.

Great framerate and amazing contrast. It also has some great AI features and the solar charging remote is pretty cool. I love that it connects seamlessly with my soundbar and rear speakers through Q-Symphony. Overall, by far the best TV I've ever owned, so impressed!

And that TV is still working to this day and still looks good so I knew I wanted a Samsung TV. I decided to spend the money and buy a TV that will last me 10 to 15 years and everyone who looks at it says it's the best picture they've ever seen. The game mode when it is wonderful the hdr on it is wonderful there's simply not a thing I don't like about the TV.

With that said, Samsung has made one of the most confusing and complicated TV user interfaces I've ever used, and the lack of Dolby Vision in 2025 is truly baffling. Again if you only have standard HDR and HDR10+ content, and don't mind the user interface or ads being in your TV, it's a no brainer. But I think we should be asking and expecting more of Samsung.

The HDR produces bright vivid pictures. 4k pictures just pop! The smart TV features are also fantastic. The apps work flawlessly, speedy and smooth. The solar cell remote is also fabulous. Compact and self charging. What's not like? I've always been a fan of Samsung TVs with their innovation and quality products.

It turns off by itself; it has at the bottom of the TV some Spanish information that periodically pops up; and it also changes channels on its own.. Also it will show the Google webpage for no reason.. We had to replace the first TV because it was over heating.

I came from a Samsung Q6FN 2018 model. This S90D blows it out of the water. Paired with a Q600c soundbar and got the rear speakers and it sounds great. I am so happy with my purchase.

BUT, the sound is awful because there is an annoying, rumbling bass noise intermittently in the tv speaker mode. Equalizer adjustments do nothelp this problem. I am running the audio through Denon receiver via toslink and this offsets the problem. The tv audio should not behabe this way in a device at this cost. When we learned that there were over additional movies and channels built in that sealed the deal for us. We are very happy with our purchase. The picture is clear and the colors are brighter.

We wish it was easier to figure out how to add our watching apps to the main list, but we’ve figured out a work-around.

I will never buy any other brand. I highly recommend this TV. I have 2 and plan on replacing my 3rd with the same one. The quality is unmatched. I give them 10 out of five if I could.

If I weren’t so annoyed by the little tiny remote that constantly turns my Programming akimbo cuz I can’t feel if it’s right side up or whatever and I hit the wrong buttons by mistake and lose minutes in the games, etc. trying to find my way back, I’d Be quite happy with this tv. Being old isn’t an advantage either… I can’t figure out how to adjust the picture like I read about! All I have is whatever is the default setting to go by, but it’s fine, really. Very crisp and clear picture, and excellent viewing from all angles, unlike our last tv. Oh, Alexa interrupts sometimes, apparently answering the dialogue on the tv, that’s annoying too! We have a Sonos beam sound bar, so can’t speak to the quality of the tv’s speakers. I’m glad we bought the tv but wish I could figure out how to use it to its potential.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV - Need a Little Coaching I use the TV as a normal TV. It functions well - it has a great picture and connects well with my bluetooth soundbar. I'm giving it 4 stars because of two items. Once every day or two, the TV audio will trigger the voice control of the TV. At least I know that function "works" so to speak, as I have not been able to figure out how to do it myself, nor do I know what commands are available. Also, I believe there are features of the TV available that I have not been able to access. I've poked around on my own, but haven't been able to figure out. I think all this is solvable, but I guess, for me, I need a little more hand holding on it.

This TV is full of functions not available on my old Samsung Tube TV, it's a whole new learning on its capabilities and features on a simple remote or on a smartphone. The picture is so crisp and clear it's almost like you are present in the location where the presentation is being broadcasted at! Thank you, Samsung for providing such a wonderful product!

Everyone always comments on how thin it is and the picture. The up scaling is the best in the business. All I own is Samsung tvs and this one is right up there with my 8k Samsung.

We have an LG OLED and older nanocel TV but cannot get the right apps through LG so need to use a Roku. Decided to upgrade our old Samsung Plasma with a new Samsung OLED and are over the moon. The Samsung OLED is superior to anything we’ve owned. While many seem to complain about the remote and OS, we are very happ. The OS, in our experience, is much easier to use and more intuitive versus our LGs. The remote is also easy to use with the multifunction buttons. You must read the instruction, but once you do you can use it the dark by feel only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectations I’ve had this TV for two weeks now and have had the chance to evaluate it under many different viewing conditions, including a very bright room and a high viewing angle. It hasn’t disappointed. I no longer have to angle my TV to avoid reflection from my window and to get an undistorted picture from my one chair that sits at a sharp viewing angle. The picture is beautifully bright and sharp and the colors are vibrant. I picked this TV based on multiple reviews, all of which highly recommended it. I agree, I don’t think there’s a better TV available for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lives up to the hype I purchased my 55" OLED S90D based both on both the many positive reviews I read, viewing the TV alongside other manufacturer's TV's, and on my personal positive experience with five other Samsung TV's over the years. My room receives a lot of outdoor light at certain times of the day and I have one chair that sits at a steep angle to the TV. The reviews I read all indicated that the S90D had a brighter picture, better color contrast, and a wider viewing angle due to the use of quantum dot OLED technology, exclusive to Samsung. I've had the TV for three weeks now and agree. I no longer get screen reflection from ambient room light and no longer have to turn the TV screen to view from my recliner. The colors on the TV are vibrant and true to life. I've read some on-line complaints regarding the TV tripping circuit breakers or having power issues, but haven't experienced any of these. Hopefully, if there was a manufacturing issue with early models it's been corrected. If I experience a problem I'll update my review, but based on my experience to this point I am very happy with the TV and would recommend it.

Prior to that, a month ago, my new Samsung QLED didn't work when I received it. Samsung tech said the same. We had to return it.

For all it's many, many features and convenience, it still suffers from the Samsung "flat" image and weird yellows here and there that my old cheap Samsung LED had, and I'd say after ? of the time I wish it looked like my old Sony. Add to that the lack of Dolby Vision, slightly sluggish and complicated UI, and I'm glad I got it open-box for $845 after tax.

It is so thin and light weight that my wife could have lifted and positioned it on the bookshelf/cabinetry where we have had our living room TV in this house. Great picture and the sound (unlike most newer, super thin TV’s) is so bold and clear that we won’t need a sound bar for it.

Only complaint is the weaker speakers has good bass but struggles with voices dialogue. Can create choppy images sometimes but that could be from the sources a rare occurrence. Overall would recommend I personally believe it's a better panel Picture and brightness compared to the LG c4 and up there with g4.

The user friendly interface is great with perfect contrast and off angle viewing it's a great experience! If the rooms real bright it has a little less picture quality but i like my TV in the dark personally. The s90 has all the features of a high end TV without the cost.

I can now use my PS5's full video capability with 120hz refresh and high frame rates and it looks amazing! My YouTube TV and movies also never locked better! I this makes 4 Samsung TV's I have in my house, along with several others device's and appliances but this TV is by far my favorite! Love Samsung products!

The HDMI 2.1 allows for 120hz refresh rate and looks amazing. Being able to view the frames per second in real time is also an excellent upgrade over my previous television and feels very next gen in terms of TV. Additionally the OLED picture looks so much better than I expected. Everything I view looks beyond great and even non 4k seems upscaled to a very high quality. Hands down best TV I've ever owned.

The picture is fantastic and the integration with our galaxy devices is pretty seamless. We decided to use the built in smart functions rather than our usual Roku and that feels like the right choice so far. Setting up external bluetooth connections was easy. My only quibble so far (and this could be user error) is switching audio to bluetooth connections could be improved.

The picture quality is outstanding, with deep blacks, rich colors, and excellent HDR performance that brings movies and games to life. I found the Filmmaker Mode particularly useful for achieving accurate colors and contrast right out of the box. This tv is perfect for movie night! The TV is also a great choice for gaming, thanks to its four HDMI 2.1 ports, support for 4K at 120Hz, VRR, and ALLM. AI settings also come in handy and adjust the tv settings to fit what you’re watching

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good replacement for the Plasma We replaced a 10+ year old Samsung Plasma TV. it was starring to show some artifacts I felt that its demise would be soon, and it was Black Friday an his set was on sale. we are geek members and chose t have it installed by geek squad. good choice! this set as more complicated because of the audio and video sound devices that are attached te plasma had 7 inputs and 3 audio out puts, one of then was FO (glass). The new set has 4 HDMI connections and one FO (glass)we also have a wireless head set for my wife that had to work. the new set has only one audio output, glass. ideally that would be used to send sound to the surround sound, however there was NOT another option. we do have a Yamaha 7.2 sound system that is compatible with ATMOS. As it turned out, we did send the TV audio via HDMI to the sound system seems to work well. We are using all the inputs and outputs that this TV has. Another Issue was we had to send the streaming directly to the TV so we would have the audio for the headset. some propose that you send streaming to the sound system first, found that only applies to TVs that cannot pass the latest sound formats out. The picture quality is excellent seems a little sharper than the plasma. The blacks are acceptable as are the reds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't wait, just get it. No regrets. Bought because our older Samsung TV was showing it's age. Going from and older LED to an OLED was night and day. The colors are super crisp and bright. We're primarily a gaming household, this was perfect for our consoles and the occasional PC streaming from the GeForce Now service. And streaming in general is phenomenal. Netflix and our Plex server never looked so good. Not all washed out. Plus, for only just the TV, it sounds great out of box. Which is pretty awesome. Usually the smaller the tv, the smaller the sound, but I'm pretty impressed. We did end up pairing it up with a Samsung soundbar, mostly because we like to hear a bit of extra punchiness to our game sessions. All this being said, I think my best praise is that it barely uses electricity. One less thing to worry about the better. All in all, we're really happy with our purchase. Definitely recommend.

Colors pop, looks clean and nice, feels reliable, and its extremely fast when it comes to doing anything on it, very similar to my phone, but thats mostly probably because i have a samsung phone, which I also love s25 ultra, so set up was easy for me. Except one I couldn't figure out till later, which was the menu kept playing in the back ground while I was tampering with the settings, that was annoying, the audio kept going loud and quiet at random times couldsnt figure out hownto turn that off, both shoukd be turned off out the box automatically. Other then that amazing tv. Pros: Colors: colors pop very vibrant a small red hue in some areas, but maybe thats a setting. Clarity: very super clear. Brightness: extremely bright and i love it. Audio: This thing sounds like it has a couple mini sub woofers inside it, made the experience way better. Gaming: perfect! It's very fast, works with all my consoles smoothly and not a single issue there, perfect for gaming easy. Cons: screen can be alittle red, to much blooming there, audio keeps going loud amd quit, should be auto turned off out the box, the main screen when tampering with settings should be turned off automatically to. Conclusion: Other then the cons, this tv is amazing! I love everything about it, if you have a samsung phone, this will be a easy set up, its very enjoyable especially after getting used to how the tv works which is slightly different then your phone as expected. I'd give it a 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the best TVs I have ever owned I purchased this TV because my old one was outdated. I desired a TV with a very bright screen and a higher refresh rate. Additionally, I wanted something slim and modern in appearance. This TV is exceptional for my PlayStation 5 and streaming TV. It boasts some of the best color contrast features and smart features I’ve ever encountered on any TV. The Smart hub also functions exceptionally well compared to other TV markets. People are astounded when they see my TV and how well it works. Even the speakers in this TV are quite good, which is a rare feature in many other TVs. In fact, this TV was worth every penny I paid for. It was so good that I actually bought a second one solely for my PlayStation 5. It’s challenging to pinpoint my favorite aspect of this TV, but if I must choose, I think it’s its thinness and power. This TV can effortlessly perform any task, and I believe that’s what truly sets it apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a nice TV! I currently use this for gaming, tv, movies, and music. Some of the settings were tricky at first for getting the gaming setup by now they are great. As for the AI this sometimes causes more issues than helping such as the music continually gets louder and thn drops back down if you are walking around or if it senses movements. I turned it off and everything works now. It's super thin and the mounting is a little different since it is at the bottom of the tv. Overall it's amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Purchase I’ve purchased multiple Samsung tv’s over the years and never had an issue. This time around I decided to splurge and purchase the OLED S90D tv. What a waste of money. The picture is overall good but every so often the sound will be muffled through the tv speakers and I have to do a hard reset on the tv every time this occurs. Very inconvenient especially at this price point. And not only does this happen to my 77 inch but also both of my 55’s of the same model. Very disappointed.

Is this going to be the one that disappoints? But time after time, the new models just blow us away. The interface between the remote and the TV is so intuitive. Everything just makes sense to the users—and some of them are downright dangerous with a remote in their hands! Thank you, Samsung, for continuing to make the best products on the market.

The dark colors are DARK without any colors bleeding into the dark. TV is also very light and about as thing as a my cellphone(maybe thinner). This is a SERIOUS TV.

I purchased this TV using my Samsung "SHOP" app and got it through a promo offer, plus this was my first time trying OLED from a Samsung TV.. so, I went ahead and took the plunge. Now once I had my hands on the TV and hooked it up, I cannot lie, I was blown away by the initial picture quality via pre calibration Samsung had set up for this model, so no complaints on the display pertaining to Movies, TV shows, Video gaming etc; But when it came to surfing through the settings and launching apps? This TV started to suck, BAD! I had to call Samsung customer service SERVERAL TIMES! just to make sure I didn't get a bad CPU chip in my TV. Samsung sent out a qualified technician to see if anything could be done to fix my issue with the noticeable sluggish performance in the TV. Unfortunately the Tech was unable to fix this issue and I really felt I was going to have to send the TV back to Samsung. So the next day, I notice while checking the TV settings, I seen the storage memory went down from 90% full to like 40% AFTER I install a Samsung USB thumb drive the night before and somehow the TV performance became much better, BUUUUT! overall it was still no where it needed to be, especially for the $2k+ premium price Samsung is asking for this specific Oled model. So to conclude, on a scale 1-10.. I will give this TV a solid 8 and simply bc of the poor performance issue that can possibly be fixed via a software update or else this TV would be a 9.5 easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good picture.... after a while Purchased this TV around a month ago. At first I was not very satisfied with the picture quality. I considered exchanging it for another brand. After some, let's call it 'break in time". The picture is now very good. Probably among the best out there at this time. I did spend a fair amount of time adjusting the settings to what suited my eyes the best. I believe though, that the tv needed a certain amount of use to achieve the best picture. Whatever the reason, I am impressed by the picture quality. As a bonus, changing the viewing angle does not affect the picture quality. The previous tv, (not Samsung) while it had a decent straight on picture, lost some of that when the viewing angle changed, ghosting out a little. I find the speakers to be quite good for a tv of this size and have no need for a sound bar. Room size and distance from a tv may determine the need for one. I'm ok with the remote. Yes, it is a smaller remote but works fine. I do find it a bit odd that the solar panel is on the bottom of the remote, which means it has to be upside down to charge. Size dictated this I guess. If I did have a complaint, it would be with the tv stand. It lifts the tv up a few inches which means you see too much of the cables and of the space between the tv and the stand. Just gawdy in my opinion. A soundbar would not fill in this space as the stand would not allow for placement between the tv and stand to fill this area in. I deducted a rating star due to the stand, as you can see in the attached photo. As with all of the mid to upper end Tv's, the initial introductory price is crazy high. On sale though, this is a tv that you may want to seriously consider. This tv replaced another 55" on which the screen went black. Sadly, even though not that old, parts were not available from LG to repair it. Obsolescence by design. We have several Samsung tv's of various vintage, all are still working just as you would hope. Minus updates due to age. That being said, I expect this one to be just as reliable. Can I count on that Samsung?

Bought this TV in September because my husband had just been put in a hospital bed in our front room and could not see the TV we had on a console table, so had this mounted. Outstanding TV, having some trouble with the sound but have not addressed the issue with samsung yet. The picture is outstanding and my husband can enjoy his only entertainment! This is our 3rd samsung set and am pleased with all three.

I bought the TV a few weeks ago, it's been great so far my Xbox series x looks fantastic on it and so do movies and the color is absolutely amazing. The only things I'm worried about is the power supply and HDMI ports are loose inside of their center houseing when I plug the power cord into the TV the power port moves around and pushes back like it's loose or something and same with the HDMI ports I can see them move when I plug a cable into a port not sure if thats suppose to happen? Also the picture on regular TV channels is very pixelated and broken mabye bad reception? But I'm very concerned with the HDMI and power port on the TV would love some feedback from others if this also happens to them or if Samsung could reach out to me and mabye since my TV is under warranty have someone come check it out for me to put my mind at ease?

Main complaint is Samsung Plus feature. As one of many of the older generation, I wear hearing aids and count on close captioning to assist with sound. Samsung Plus offers movies and features that have NO close captioning so they are useless to many of us. Disappointing to say the least.

After mounting on wall and hooking all wires up tv tells me I used the wrong hdmi port. Really? It will stay where it is and I will have to deal with warning box appearing EVERY time I power on. Not that there was anything wrong with the others but the OLED has improved picture quality to a new level. The new small remote was a surprise and at first I thought I wouldn’t like it but I actually love it. I wish this remote was compatible with the other TV’s. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to operate when adding and accessing apps. We purchased our 55” S90D OLED for our second home. It was a follow up purchase to our 65” S95D OLED. The 55” tv has a beautiful picture and it operates flawlessly with the surround sound system. Adding and using the apps that we have installed has been fairly simple. This was the 3rd Samsung tv we have purchased. First was a 43” for a bedroom. All three have been very satisfying and I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great resolution with HDMI interface problems I am enjoying the resolution of the image. However, the TV has a problem with HDMI interface with our TV system. We use a ROKU system for WIFI and a TIVO-cable system for Xfinity programming. Despite phone attempts to address the problem with both Samsung and Tivo technicians, the problem was only corrected by installing an Orei HDMI splitter. I hope that this problem can be corrected by Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The TV is great, the software is terrible. The TV itself is great, and is advertised. But the software/interface is amazingly bad. First, there are so many ads that I had to block the ad server on my router. Next, there are 'recommendations' that are probably also just ads where they take over your Home Screen with movies for purchase or rent. I despise the amount of recommendations for R/MA movies/content when we have kids here. I activated parental controls so now my Home Screen is a bunch of greyed out boxes with lock symbols on them. This isn't rock science to have an app picker that the person that spent thousands of dollars on the TV can control. I will shout from the rooftops that I will never buy another Samsung TV or suggest anyone else do the same until this is changed.

That was accomplished in part. I love the TV but am confused that I can’t seem to add non-Samsung outside apps like I can with my other Samsung TV’s. I can only choose from those that are listed. I can’t find an answer to this issue. So, I still am using my Apple TV device to access sites like Angel studios. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This TV is Samsung's Best Kept Secret I've had the Samsung S90D for about 4 months. I've had many OLED TVs from LG and Samsung prior to this. But I feel Samsung's S90D series is their best combination of picture AND sound quality at a terrific price point. It has the same processor as the S95 series (which I have previously owned) and the same award-winning screen. The picture just isn't quite as bright. But the way I watch - darker room, mostly at night - doesn't really matter .And, If you need it, this TV can get blindingly bright. Excellent picture quality. Great detailing in dark scenes. Samsung's famous colors and superb contrast. And the sound. That's the real hidden gem - a better tonal balance with surprising bass. No, not subwoofer level - but the sound system goes lower than you might think in frequency - especially in a smaller room. After living with the TV for a while, I really don't feel the need for one. So there you have it. A great entertainment experience and what I feel is Samsung's best kept secret - because the critics continue to ignore this TV. But the rest of us will find out about it anyway!

Not intuitive for certain features such as rewind, it’s very small and difficult to read in low light, easy to press the volume button incorrectly which turns on mute. I hate it!

Then when it does go on a message the the optimizer note comes on every time. If you don’t close the program you have to wait 10 minutes until it does it thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous OLED Great tv with crisp image. If you set your settings to the following, you’ll be blown away; most can be found in Pictures Expert Settings. Color Tone "Warm2" for a more accurate and natural color temperature. Color Space: ‘Auto’ works well for different situations. Color Booster and Contrast Enhancer left “off”. Peak brightness: “high”. Picture Clarity: ‘Auto’. Power and Energy Saving:OFF so you won’t get any unwanted dimming. Lastly, when you’re streaming a movie, change “HDR” to “static”. I love that it can be viewed from a very wide angle without losing quality. . This was very important to me. I did not want to look at a green tint when looking from the side. QD OLED has notably brighter color volume, better gradients than WOLED panels, and doesn’t suffer at all from this issue. I found ‘Filmmaker Mode’ and ‘Movie Mode’ are the best picture modes. Choose what you think is best. I set mine to Filmmaker mode 24/7. Watching scenes with deep dark blacks is no issue for the S90D with no crushing. The S90D handles the darkest of scenes superbly. Those that are wondering if not having Dolby Vision makes a difference, I can tell you it does not IMO. I watched ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ in Dolby Vision played in HDR, and tone mapping was done brilliantly, still providing such life like vivid clarity and a stunningly radiant picture. I’m going to be just fine without DV. Don’t own a blu ray player. I stream and watch HD cable content which it excels at. HDR10+ content is even better, with 3D eye-popping color. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Paramount+, and even Disney+ now all support HDR10+ like ‘Moana 2’. Dolby Atmos enabled works great. The S90D gets pretty loud for a OLED without distortion, and voices are never buried. I was really impressed with the sound’s presence and volume. Even has a little bass! The Samsung Tizen OS isn’t perfect, but it’s customizable to your preferences. Navigating through the Samsung Tizen OS is rather simple to learn IMO. I bought an Xbox controller and through Tizen ‘Game Hub’ , tried a subscription of ‘Xbox Ultimate Game Pass’, without a console. It is super fun. I played games like Halo, Battlefield 4 and Forza 5 to name a few. The games are fluid with no stutter at all and look amazing! It is a lot of fun by just adding a game controller. What an awesome value if you don’t own a console to be able to game on the S90D. It does it so well and console free. I thought it was an easy setup from start to finish. I’m very happy with this absolutely gorgeous TV. :) I did add a 3-yr insurance protection to cover myself from any QC issues that may arise beyond the Samsung 1-yr protection and would do so on any electronic product at this price

I am usually getting the LG OLED's but this looked good on paper so I thought I'd give it a try. So happy I did cause it's clearly better picture for the gaming I do on it. Wont be disappointed here so give it a try.

It’s my favorite physical design on market: very thin/light frame and bezel, satin anti-reflective coating, QDoled panel, 120hz refresh rate, loud/clear audio output, and love the small “AppleTV sized” solar remote (which gets criticized). I like the Tizen interface too - also often criticized. It’s very vivid and robust for HDR content, gaming and 4k sports and like Samsung’s ambient mode. Samsung s90d features matched w/my preferences and it’s an attractive price/specs ratio on sale. So as long as it holds-up reliably? Unfortunately, they delivered the box upside down but that apparently didn’t damage it.

I was a broadcast engineer and worked with professional monitors my whole career so I know what television pictures should look like. Short of plasma TVs which had their own issues, this is the way to go.

I use game mode with my gaming console. Great graphics in 4K at 60 frames per second at 120HZ. My Samsung OLED 55 inch TV is a perfect choice for everything whether it's streaming video, music, and gaming. I've used Samsung products most of my life and I've never had one break on me. I've only replaced them as the technology has improved. I totally trust Samsung products, they've earned it.

The old lady i had was good but Jing from 2017 technology to 2025 tech was a huge leap. It's not nearly as reflective as my old plasma or lcd. Plus when watching off angle from the kitchen I can actually see the screen unlike with the poor viewing angles of my old tv. That alone would have made it worth it, but throw in all the new connectivity options AND the ability to stream my Xbox games without an Xbox is beyond great. Now, understand I'm not a call of duty or fortnite player, so I don't know about how well those games would do , but astroneer and Minecraft have worked very well. Good job to the people at samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would Purchase Again My first smart TV was Samsung and it lasted me a long time. It still works, but I wanted an upgrade. I decided to stick with Samsung out of loyalty. I’ve had my new TV for a few months now and my family compliments the picture when they visit. It is easy to use. The only complaint I can think of is sometimes is a sudden increase in volume during certain scenes in movies or TV. I’m not tech savvy but there may be a setting I could look into to fix this.

We were also able to replace our complicated surround sound Home Theater setup with a sound bar and simplified our user experience enormously using the Samsung TV smart features. It has amazing picture and clarity and was very easy setup-Roku, Bose soundbar and blu-ray synced right away! I will say I did have to experiment with different settings on the tv before use because at first glance out of the box it was decent. Also does a decent job with low-quality content smoothing. But I overall really enjoy the tv! My favourite thing about it too is the Game Mode feature! I usually play my PS5 on it and I really enjoy the performance and the color gradient that the tv provides! I would definitely recommend this tv!

I also picked up a ps5 pro at the same time and it looks amazing on this tv!!! I just ordered a Samsung HW-Q600C soundbar after much research, and can’t wait to get that hooked up as well. I feel like after all the research and for the price I paid there isn’t a better quality setup out there!!! Especially considering I have less than $1300 in all 3 which is unbelievable but 100% true.

Unlike LG no pointer to go where I want. No keyboard for selection or deletion. No prompt to return to previous program like on LG and most all TV's. Handheld apparatus what ever it is called doesn't not react to selection and central large round prompter does not respond appropriately at times and goes elsewhere. Samsung picture color and clarity much better than LG. Bixby just interferes whenever. Buffering whenever.

I would say that this is the best TV that I have ever had. Very easy to use and the remote is simple and to the point no need to read the remote manual. I replaced my old TV with this Samsung and the difference is like night and day. I would advise everyone to obtain a television like this one. Simply amazing. I know they produce TV every year but I don't see how it could get better than this one. OlED stands for Greatness without a doubt. Samsung you have hit a home run with this. I am actually looking to replace my older model Samsung in the living room with a OLED. I know it will great. Simply the Television speakers are good I didn't need to obtain a sound bar. I am overly impressed. The colors are bright and I don't get a glare if I open the windows in the bedroom. That really surprised me. Usually with the blinds open there is a glare on the other television I had but with this one there is no glare. I really enjoy that. So everyone go out and Purchase the OLED TV by Samsung

The choice of apps is great (although too many are subscription based) and using the SmartThings app is great as a remote. Adding/ removing apps is easy being able to put the apps in order allow you to put your most used app first. The one thing I totally dislike is the built-in screensaver. I realize it is there to avoid a burn-in of the screen, however, we are not able to adjust the time the screensaver comes on. I listen to the Spotify app on the TV and even if I have the lyrics moving on the screen, the screensaver comes on. This is not acceptable to me. I like seeing the album/playlist or reviewing the lyrics and the end user should have the ability to remove/stop/turn off the screensaver.

I just wanted to connect to You Tube TV...that was it. Once i got to You Tube, I was fine but all the notices about apps, channels, etc. was a total distraction and not worth anything. Had that been clear in the material I read about the unit, I might have chosen something else.

So easy to operate and I get so many channels and movies, unlike the three channels I got in my old B&W. I love it so much, I purchased another one fir my bedroom, then a sound bar from Samsung. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The TV functions as expected I use Samsung TV’s throughout our Home. We have a total of 8 TV’s varying in size from 85” to either 28/32”. It is our primary source for News, Weather, Streaming Services. Most of the TV’s are connected to suplemental sound systems in order to enhance the movie experience. We have the most updated version with highest pixilation. The TV’s are great. Our disappointment relates to Samsung constantly directing the user to Samsung TV and its proprietary services. Also the fact that you must enter all of the information for apps and streaming services for each TV individually. Additionally you can’t watch a program on the first floor and then go to a tv individually another room on a different floor in your house and pickup the program where you left off.

But the extensive and often overly techy settings are daunting, and they sometimes make simple adjustments (at least what should be simple adjustments) difficult to figure out. One example of several: I'd like to stop the way the volume resets to zero every time I turn the television off or simply switch from one app to another, say from Netflix to Amazon Prime -- a minor, but annoying inconvenience.

Overall, I like the TV because of the solar powered remote, it's clarity, light weight, and its connection with the internet. However, twice I've needed to power down the tv because no sound would come out and the only way to fix it was to power down. What I mean, just don't turn it off and on, I needed to unplug the unit from the wall outlet, wait, then plug it back in. Also, because of this, I discovered there is no on and off switch on the tv itself and the only way to turn it off is by the remote, (which wouldn't fix this issue any way). Seems to me there is a bug in the system that needs fixing

It is very easy to adjust the brightness of the TV while you are watching movies/tv shows. I like that I can use the Bluetooth to connect my AirPods. The view from side angles is fantastic. This is the third Samsung TV we have purchased. And I know this next part is simple but the simple and easy to use remote control is fantastic. There are not a lot of buttons and it gets the job done.

It always takes three or four clicks to get anywhere. The menu for accessing Samsung channels is difficult to navigate, making it hard to find the shows we are looking for. The vocal find does not work well. But the picture is excellent for what we watch.

Often we could not get into the Samsung hub. It is not very user friendly in this aspect.

The experience I have had with this tv has been absolutely phenomenal. The beautiful darks from the Oled panel are rich and the colors come to life making any film even more captivating. I will recommend a Samsung tv to anyone and everyone that cares about quality and an amazing picture.

My husband suffered from ALS and TV was his constant source of entertainment. He watched it 24/7. The ease of use made it comfortable for him to operate. I wish I could of afforded the soundbar for him but it was okay with the great sound the tv provided.

Great wheni come home to watch my streaming shows. And also great for movies especially with my Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar. Uses the Dolby Atmos for pristine sound quality that goes along with the beautiful picture.

We have rewatched movies on this TV and are amazed by the difference and quality. We are so happy with this TV that we purchased one for our daughter and son in law. We tell all our friends and family about the Samsung Oled TV. Very highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great "Dual-TV" The resolution is perfect for both movie/tv binging and gaming nights. The only issue I have is the frame rates drop anytime I watch a tv show or movie on Prime video. Specifically "Fallout" being the main culprit. The remote is a bit small for me as well. I tend to lose it on my bed from time to time. Other than that it works great with my physical media collection. What really confirmed that this TV was perfect for me was playing Senua's Saga: Hellblade II. The colors popped and the graphics were beyond expectation. The game mode brightness is also not something I'd expect to make the game more enjoyable. With all of the contrasting colors, it made the game feel more immersive. I'd recommend this tv to anyone who's looking for a "best of both worlds" TV. But be aware that I just my tv mainly in the dark so I'm not sure how the glare from the sun would look on it.
