Rated 5 out of 5 by from 55" Samsung Terrace Outdoor TV SUCKS!!! the 55" outdoor samsung terrace tv really is not worth the money. samsung has no clue what they are doing in the outdoor tv market. this tv is full of flaws and samsung does not stand behind the product whatsoever. this tv was not designed for outdoor use. they should call it an indoor tv that may withstand water. total waste of money. i purchased mine three weeks ago and it already has a flaw in the screen samsung refuses to acknowledge. i know this tv has had moister issues and power issues from others i know who have also purchased. save yourself a real headache and a lot of money and do not purchase the terrace if you are in the market for an outdoor tv. if you really are looking to torture yourself and throw away a lot of money then maybe you want to buy this tv.

We regularly have friends over to watch baseball, basketball, soccer or football. It has really expanded our home - and now our kids invite their friends over to watch sports on our deck as well. Our house is now the place for the kids to come to which is what we wanted.

It is so much more enjoyable to watch sports, movies and regular tv for us now. Also, it really is a "smart" tv. The streaming is great and also glare free. It is certainly one of the best purchases we have ever made. Would recommend it to anyone anytime.

Navigation for the settings smooth,prompt with no lag in smart tv settings while connected to network. Video in game play is excellent, not choppy or pixelated flows frame by frame with no glitche. Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV Delivered Broken and Samsung doesn't care i bought the outdoor terrace tv and had to wait 6 months to hang it while my outdoor porch was finished. when i had the tv hung (by a service provided by samsung) and turned on the tv there were blotches and lines on the screen. when i called samsung the representative said the picture quality is not their issue or covered under warranty! still waiting to hear back but i have already been on the phone for hours with them. the sound bar came damaged all 3 times - finally i kept the one with the fewest dents. i will never buy a samsung product ever again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great true outdoor TV After attempting to use a normal TV outdoors and that TV quickly Failing, I found that Samsung had entered the outdoor TV market. This is hands down the best outdoor TV option available at the moment. It’s fully encapsulated so no need to worry about the elements. After a year and a half on my uncovered patio it has held up perfectly. I get comments on how clear the picture is. No glare even when the sun is fully out. I highly recommend the Terrence sound bar. Excellent sound quality, combined with the TV you will have an amazing entertainment zone outside. Only complaint is the remotes. For an outdoor TV the remote does not Have any type of outdoor rating. I’ve been through 2 already and they were never left out in the rain. Even just dew or moisture that accumulates from sitting outside for the day has ruined them. Nothing is perfect and aside from the remote this TV is close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anti - Glare works this is an expensive tv; however after buying and new tv for the outdoors every few years i'm hoping it will pay for itself. typical samsung 4k image that i like. especially the anti-glare wide viewing angle that works in the bright florida sunshine. the tv is located in a covered patio partial sunlight. the apps work well and over all a very intuitive remote control. so far i'm very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrace is great but need more speakers i love my 55" terrace and terrace soundbar. the picture and sound quality with the combination of the two is great! we use it daily throughout the summer. however, i have two seats about 25 ft away from the tv and soundbar. is there a wireless satellite speaker option that i can use with the tv and soundbar to get more sound to the farthest seats? i can turn up the volume, but then it is too loud for those sitting closest.

We stream all content to this tv and have really enjoyed this purchase. I added the Terrance sound bar which definitely boost the sound. Glare is very minimal and the picture is so vivid! Previous to this purchase I had a non-outdoor tv on a roll around cart but the glare was bad. A strong wind came up one day and toppled the TV over. That's when I decide to invest in TV made for the outdoors and the Terrance 55" TV fit the bill!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded Expectations! We chose the Samsung Terrace to hang in our backyard as the spot receives about 3 hours of direct sunlight per day. The choice to go with Samsung was name brand, reviews and the only outdoor TV with smartTV applications. It has not disappointed! The anti-glare feature allows for full color in direct or non-direct sunlight with a great picture. The smart tv allows me to stream Xfinity cable as well as other services(Netflix, Hulu, etc) for local sports or movies for the kids in the backyard. Only an outlet was necessary. The volume on the tv itself isn’t bad, but being that it’s Bluetooth-enabled, I hooked up portable sonos speakers that can be placed wherever. I can always add the sound bar when needed. In all, it has down everything I’ve asked and has made the larger ticket price definitely worth it!

The person that sits behind you and puts their feet on your chair shaking uncontrollably until you feel as though your brain may shake out of your skull. Oh yes this happens and it was enough to ban the mere idea of seeing a movie from my mind. Although deeply saddened to miss some of the greats as they were released into the box office, I am no longer in such Peril due to my 55" Terrace Samsung QLED 4K UHD Smart TV . The ability to play Outdoors as well as in, with no need to worry over damage from the elements has given me the ability to transform any spot of my home into a personal theatre, no tall guys or fidgety foot villains in sight. Yes, my 55" Samsung Terrace has created for me the relaxing or fearful, depending on the genre in which Ive decided to immerse myself in for the evening, has created the atmosphere I desperately crave after a day of the 9-5 lifestyle I assigned myself. The picture and sound quality are absolutely wonderful, but most are these days. The sseparation rom smart television to full blown personal mini-theatre is the ability to pull up a piece if nice green grass and watch whatever my soul desires to escape into..unencumbered. Can your television do that? Get the Samsung Terrace. Sorry to the box office, I may never step foot into a theater again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pt 1: overall great, have realistic expecations somehow this review is limited to 800 characters. this is pt. 1. so far, and it's only been 2 days, this tv is really good., but i'll try to help the community that may be evaluating it. i have the 65 inch version. the screen faces east for me and is under about a 8 foot overhang with slats on the northside (so partial shade, and open on the south side. for the most part there is no or limited glare in the 2-4pm time frame as of june in chicago. you can squint and see some but the picture is bright enough that you really have to pay attention to it to notice. once the sun is farther down, it's really as sharp as our indoor tvs. and at night, it's jaw dropping. more info in pic

So far the Terrace is living up to those requirements and it is easy to use and connect to our wifi. We paired it with the soundbar and now we watch TV outside more often than we do inside. The other worry going with a lesser TV was the longevity of the product. I did not want to send a TV to the garbage/recycling facility every two years. The picture is fantastic and no issues with streaming Looking forward to many years of watching games with family and friends while hanging by the fire pit. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Does NOT Back Up Their Product i spent several thousand dollars on a samsung “smart” tv. after 3 months it stopped working. after several attempt contacting samsung they failed to address the problem. it is now an expensive boat anchor. we had a service tech look at the tv and they told me that it definetely was a manufacturer’s defect and the cost to fix it was going to be $1,100 so i bought a sony instead. big mistake by samsung to not fix or replace the unit as i buy hundreds of tv’s and appliances for development projects and i would never buy a samsung product ever again. do not make the same mistake i made. you will be sorry.

After much convincing, talked my wife into splurging for the Terrace..now she is the biggest fan! Picture really is incredible; doesn't matter if it is high noon or 10 olock at night, the clarity and brightness is beautiful! Also with the anti-glare and wide viewing screen, there isn't a bad seat... you can be on the side or straight ahead and the picture is just as clean.

We have a very nice outdoor living space and we use it year round. We have guests over for movie nights and sporting events - everyone loves the tv. The only issue we have is more of an annoyance - we very commonly have to re-enter user name and password for our wifi network for the tv and for the apps available for the tv. We have other wifi enabled tvs indoors - rarely if ever do we experience similar connectivity problems with these smart tvs and Amazon Fire devices.

It worked well for about 2 months until one day a black spot appeared about 2 inches in diameter. Two days later the whole screen turned black showing an internal crack and the TV is unusable. Samsung refuses to honor the warranty saying there was an external force that caused the damage. There is no sign of damage whatsoever on the outside of the TV when it's turned off, it hangs up high on a wall out of reach of anyone, under a roof - no balls or birds, not even rain can reach it. We are very disappointed with the TV and the poor customer service - WILL NEVER BUY A SAMUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

The second floor Carolina Porch provides shade mid-morning through the rest of the day but it still gets direct Sun for about 2 hours in the morning. The picture is easy to watch during all hours. The built-in sound is just right. No need for a sound bar for our application. It’s great for all seasons in the Carolinas.

I really made the switch because I have Samsung everything else I might aswell have the TV. As soon as I finished the install I didn't leave the room for atleast 6 hours. We paired it with the Terrace soundbar and have enjoyed watching sports and movies outside. Brightness is excellent and the sound (when paired with soundbar) is superb. Would definitely purchase again. Even though it's a bit expensive, it's totally worth it.

The Terrace partial sun was the clear winner. I purchased the tv, sound bar, mount, cover and installation service together. We got a great deal using a credit card rebate but I’d stay with the Terrace regardless. We watch it on our patio every night. You won’t be disappointed!

Great brightness, even on the sunniest of days, terrific color, and a crisp, crystal clear picture. We love our college football Saturdays with games on the TV while working around the yard or just chillin with a good game and some enjoyable beverages :). The TV is mounted in under our gazebo but it can still get wet in a good rain and we have had zero problems with moisture. Products like The Terrace is the reason we buy no other TV brand but Samsung!

It is also fairly easy to use (I primarily stream content). The picture does seem to lag sometimes during sports, but that may be because I have primarily been using so far when it is a bit colder. Also the screen seems to smudge pretty easily. Not a big deal at night but in sunlight it is a bit distracting. Overall I am happy about the purchase.

It gets a fair amount of light during the day but its super bright and clear; I can always see the picture really clearly. The UI is actually really good and I was able to download apps like Spotify that didn't come pre-loaded. I run the whole thing off wifi and the streaming works well. Finally, the sound is great for what I need -- I was originally planning on getting a soundbar but probably won't after having used the TV for a bit.

BUT this model hasn't gone through enough stress testing to handle the real world. The surface of the screen in particular is not made to handle normal weather patterns. I bought my TV in the fall, and we had some weather come through about a week after installation. Nothing unusual, but there were winds that were blowing leaves off of trees. My TV came out of it with a scratch on the screen. To make it worse, I would have had the Samsung Terrace cover on the TV (I bought it at the same time as the TV), but it was on backorder and didn't get delivered before my install. It all fell on me as the customer though. No assistance was offered to me as much as I pleaded. Also, the UI on these televisions if very, very slow. Response time from button presses makes you wonder if you pushed it all the way down, so you try again, and suddenly the cursor moves two places. You get used to it, but it's an annoyance. The UI is also pretty poorly laid out when compared to competitive sets, although I'll admit that no smart TV manufacturer has really nailed the UI, yet. All in all, I cannot recommend this set to anyone. For the price, it lacks quality construction and durability for the elements, and you will be stuck holding the bag when falling leaves leave you with a scratched screen.

Whats better than having a bbq and watching a Euro Match at the same time? This tv has amazing picture quality. The refresh rate is incredible and it truly provides the live feel. Although it is a partial sun, the anti glare coating is exceptional and tv does just fine in direct sunlight. I give this tv a 5star and definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for outdoors I have my TV mounted outside on my patio with just a partial overhang from my roof shading it. From 4pm till sunset I have direct sunlight exposure. The TV looks phenomenal at all times. It's had wind, rain, sun all hit it and it keeps ticking. Snow season is coming up so we'll see how it performs then but I'm sure it'll be fine. Brightness is perfect and sound quality surprisingly is really good so I didn't have to purchase additional speakers. I would and have highly recommended this TV for outdoor usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you are on the fence...This is the one! i have to say... i love it! this has to be the brightest tv i have ever seen! at night i reduce the brightness. i like if florida and the spot i have it in gets a lot of direct sun! and i have no problem seeing the picture! i got the 55” which didnt come out at launch. it’great. i have four qled indoor tvs. 2019 82”, 2020 65” and a 2018 55” and 2017 55”. the terrace is a true qled tv. the picture is amazing. the design is casing are cool. its heavier because of the water proof case. but not by a lot. having it be a smart tv is great also. my only complaint would be the speaker volume. you really do need to add some kind of speaker to the system. i have thia tv installed on my balcony in a condo building. but i love this tv!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Outdoor Smart TV i wall mounted my samsung terrace on my outdoor patio that gets full sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. the terrace performs with no issues and has a great bright clear picture. my only issue with the samsung terrace is the water proof compartment for your hdmi cords and sound bar is blocked by the bars on tv mounts. you can't easily hook new cords up without taking the tv off the wall mount. also with the samsung terrace starting at $3,500 and being out doors samsung should have made a security mount of device.

It's so simple to use. You dont have to have a degree to figure out how to use its many features. Easy to move from one place to another, its light. The color is just unbelievable... also I have noticed its easier on my eyes than some sets I have owned in past. It's a winner all the way around. 9/ 10 stars.

Also dark scenes can be too dark, like you can't see scenes filmed in dark locations. Adjusted the settings for the dark scenes, also I have a very good internet connection. Overall I still really like the TV.

I personally love be able to use Smart Things to monitor its power usage and I like to turn it on if we are out of the house for a while. The picture is always crisp and bright at various times of the day. I also love the remote. It is small, simple and easy to use. Setting up the TV and connecting it to my WiFi network was a breeze. Very happy with this purchase so far.

Unfortunately the kids were rough housing the other day and it got hit. Now it will.work when it decides too and if it doesn't well then I read a book. It's still like a timex and is still ticking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not purchase - this is NOT an outdoor TV if i could give this product 0 stars i would...along with their terrible customer service. i got this outdoor tv for my roof deck, covered by a pergola/covering to protect it from the elements & sun. i also got the samsung terrace cover to go with it for further protection that we use religiously after each use. the tv has defected with streaks down the top and center of the screen, which the product team claims as sun-related and improper installation. this is clearly a product related defect. the tv is still under warranty but customer service claimed it was "improper installation" and cannot do anything to help. they originally told me they would send a specialist out to come look at it but instead relied on pictures of tv alone to diagnose this "improper installation"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product i'm using this on a covered porch in northern illinois. it is mounted above the countertop of an outdoor kitchen and does not get any full sun. it is protected from precipitation unless there is severe wind. this tv probably has the best picture of any tv we own (65" lg & samsung, 74" sony; all 4k), even on very bright days. the sound is good from the built-in speakers too, although i have it hooked up to a 2 channel receiver. i really couldn't be happier.

Also, great picture at further distances. The Bluetooth option is my favorite as it makes connectivity much easier and flexible. Also comes with many adjustment modes for varying weather and temperatures. Highly recommended.

Temperature the product was exposed to never went below manufacturer's recommendation; but our 65" terrace TV cracked in a corner over the winter. Appeared to be thermal cracking on the interior; no indentations, surface scuffs on the surface of the unit. Had a motion camera focused on the product (viewing my deck) from the time of last use through time product failed; no contact on the unit. Samsung refused to support a warranty claim, instead arguing against its customer that the product must have been physically damaged, despite any evidence other than the crack itself. They suggested I make a homeowner's insurance claim, instead of supporting their product. Ridiculous. You are better off purchasing a less costly TV, as the partial/full sun brightness difference is not that significant, from another supplier that will properly support its customers. I've since landfilled this 65" terrace TV, as "non-warranty" repair costs greatly exceed replacement costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 broken tvs I purchase two of these, a 55 and a 65. They are both on our patio, the 55 folds down from the ceiling and the 65 hangs on the wall. Neither of these outside tvs get direct sun light or get any water on them. The 55 inch stopped working within the two year warranty and they argued with me on the warranty. A big pain to have fixed. The 65 stopped working 2.2 years. These very expensive outside tvs do not hold up. I should have just bought cheap tvs and expected to replace them every two year. I would have save a lot of money.

Thankful that it's under warranty but it cost me money to have the TV taken down from the mount and then reinstallation costs. Oh and the replacement parts were defective as well!! Requested a replacement TV but they have to follow "protocol" with parts and have re-ordered AGAIN!!!!

But the tv did not survive being outside for more then 18 months. It's terribly disappointing that SAMSUNG failed to honor their 2 year warranty. They inspected the tv and wouldn't repair because of normal wear and tear from being outside. I am beyond disappointed with Samsung. I bet many people who purchase this item will also regret. It does not stand up to being outside! and Samsung is fraudulent in not honoring their warranty! so please beware

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not built to last. Look elsewhere. We have had our Terrace TV that we bought straight from Samsung for about 2 years now. When it has worked it has provided a great picture and easy operation. Unfortunately, in that 2 years we have had to have the screen replaced twice, a power board replaced, and now we have a fan issue. This is far from the dependability we expected. We regret buying this TV, and honestly even getting service scheduled is difficult. Keep your expectations realistic when purchasing this.

Definitely would recommend this TV for an outdoor area even though I have only had it for a couple weeks now. We watch a lot of television on our covered patio and so far we are not one bit disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Screen No Support I had this tv for 3 years and each year the outer plexiglass screen developed very fine white lines, I actually thought it was pollen or something from my lint free microfiber cloth. This year when I removed the cover the screen is horrible with tiny fissures in the outer plexiglass screen. I have only used the Samsung cover that came with the TV. I researched the issue and was told by a dealer that the Samsung covers that came with the TV were know to damage the screen. I reached out to Samsung for help and they said that it was not a manufacturer defect. I also have the Samsung OH55F and the outer screen is glass and works well. Shame on Samsung for not standing behind their product!
