In the beginning I struggled with the set-up, Luckly I had nephew who understood the new technology and got it Working. The TV is GREAT, beautiful picture, I'm very happy. HOWEVER the remote is difficult for me to use. Its to small, keys hard to read. I still can't figure how to use the sound control. AGAIN Luckly my nephews set it up so I can control with my old cable box remote9 Works great for me), TV picture is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstandig picture and even better support! This is a replacement for the previous Samsung 50" set...the same model. We love this thing. Light, stylish, and perfectly suited for our room. As I mentioned, this is a replacement. Please read on. The other set started shutting down and starting up. So I got on a chat session with SAMSUNG. They worked hard at finding out what the issue was. In the end they set up a service visit, which could not be arranged due to our location. Instead, since the set was under warranty, they replaced it. Now...it took a couple of weeks for this to happen but I have to say that everyone at Samsung was extremely polite and helpful. We are still a bit in shock at the level of service. At every turn someone called or texted us back to tell us what was happening. Outstanding service. Kudos to the folks at Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV,but programming could be better organized I bought this TV 2 months ago and am quite happy with the TV itself. It's got a very clear picture and the tv sound for me is quite adequate without the need for a 'sound bar'. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because I had a 'heck' of a time getting all the initial programming set up that the tv needed to operate. For instance, it wanted to know my email address so I could set up an account on Samsung. When I typed my address in (cumbersome) it failed to recognize it. I tried numerous times but failed each time and each way I tried. Was it because my address ended with ".net"? Finally, on the second day, I decided to go directly onto the Samsung website using my computer and actually create an account that way. After that, I found I could follow all the start-up instructions on the tv and everything worked smoothly. Secondly, and remember, I'm getting to be an older fart, but when the tv became operational, all the possible channels in the world that I could get were shown as little picture icons on the screen, including both that I was paying for as well as those that I was not. I could not tell one from another unless I clicked on each one and only then would it tell me if I had access. With the remote not having any numbered push buttons on it, I cannot go directly to any particular channel, it all has to be done with a picture icon. Perhaps there is a way to find and show just 'favorite' channels, but I'm beyond wanting to try that. However, per a suggestion from a neighbor teen, I installed Roku and have found that all those little icons are much better organized, and I can find programs so much better now. I am much happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POOR FACTORY SETTINGS AND SOUNDBAR ISSUES This is the third Samsung TV i have purchased in recent years. I am very disappointed in this one. The colors and picture settings were way off. Had to readjust settings. Some with technical support and some additional by self. Also I have an expensive Samsung soundbar from my last Samsung TV with a very simple hook up to HDMI from TV to sound bar. It would not work! Went to Bluetooth. Now it sometimes works properly with or without lipsink. The sound bar was more expensive than the new TV and it functioned fine with the previous Samsung TV. Still using the sound bar but I never know if the TV is going to function properly or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung is better than this. I bought a 50" Q50D Samsung TV through Amazon to replace an older 50" Samsung that had failed. I have a large home theater system using an Onkyo TX-NR787 for switching my various devices using the ARC HDMI port. The Onkyo manages composite, component, S-video and HDMI video formats. I liked my old 50" Samsung for several reasons and decided to buy another, stepping up the the QLED model. Everything was going fine until I noticed my Sony DVP-CX995V, 400 DVD player's HDMI video output was not recognized by the new Samsung QN50Q60DAF. I moved a little $100 dollar Element TV I use with my desktop PC and my home security camera system into the family room where the big system is and it worked just fine with the HDMI signal from the Sony DVD player. I worked for three days (not whole days), replacing my HDMI cables, swapping things around, including calling Samsung assistance twice. I was puzzled. HDMI is supposed to be backward compatible from the current 2.1 back to 1.0. I will say the help from the Samsung's trouble shooting people was very disappointing. The accent of the people I was speaking with along with the long periods of silence while they were reading (I'm guessing) their reference information, made communication difficult and frustrating to say the least. Apparently, there was no Guru in the group they could offer me for additional assistance and there was no offer to exchange the TV for another one. The problem was left with me. I should say at this point, I am a semi retired engineer and while I do enjoy a challenge, I'm not a masochist. I called Amazon and told them to come pick the TV up and give me a refund (pending). A Sony Bravia 3 is now hanging in my family room and it is working satisfactorily with ALL of my equipment. I will say, I am going to miss the channels you offer for free as part of owning a Samsung. It was one of the reasons I tried to stay with Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality abounds at Samsung TV I needed a 50 inch TV because my eyesight is nowhere as good as it used to be and when I went to the electronics department I observed quite a few different brands and makes of TV's on display. After carefully looking at each one and examining the features I chose the Samsung QLED 4K Q60D because it was the clearest most brilliant picture of them all. Adding to the fact that it was a smart TV so the setup and features were a breeze. As good as the picture is the sound is on the same level, clear and the right balance of bass and treble with very good volume adjustment. I would highly recommend the Samsung brand TV's to anyone and everyone who wants quality at a decent price

I can’t adjust the volume settings. I can only control the volume settings using the SmartThings app. Otherwise Samsung offers a wide variety of viewing content.

I'm able to hook either mine or wife's phone up just by turning in that phone. It's seamless. I also paired with q600c sound bar. It's awsome. The price was also very good . Purchased at best buy on sale under 500.00 dollars. Would absolutely purchase again. Never go wrong with samsung.

The picture quality is great and the controls are easy to figure out for an 80 year old. That was my biggest fear that i wouldn't be able to control it but I am very pleased. This TV offers a great picture BUT has any number of features that I was not aware of, which the dealer did not tell me about, that make it hard to use in my media room set up. All our gear is processed by one single AV processor that steers the HDMI and/or 5.2.1 audio signal as called for by the remote. The problem is that the TV seems to "think" that it has a better way to connect stuff, sometimes in the middle of a different program on a different source (e.g. Roku from DirecTV or vice-versa) which is NOT what I want. I wish I had better advice from the dealer and had bought the "Stupid" version! I was really looking for a 50" monitor that spoke TV coding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dark Picture unresolved with max Brightness levels I purchased a 50" Class QLED 4K Q60D through Samsung's website 3 months ago. After 3 months of attempting to work with Samsung Tech Support to resolve a "dark picture" issue, it continues to be unresolved. Brightness levels are set at maximum. I am beginning to think Samsung is dragging me along until the warranty has expired. Definitely do not feel like a valued customer.

Constant raising and lowering sound b/c ads are so much louder than program I am watching. TV's should have been able to fix that by now!. Constant re-boots, don't know if that is because of TV service but I never had to do so many reboots until I installed this TV on the same Service - Google TV!!! My other TV worked fine most of the time... I was told this was the latest tech in TV so I took their word for it and bought it, BIG MISTAKE! I'll never believe another one salesman. Every thing about it is awful!

We went from $300/month for cable to $72 and NO regrets.. Reception isn't always great and difficult finding programs to watch and then find them again. Wish there was a way to organize my TV. I am a neat organized person and it is frustrating so that I do not atch as much TV these days. But overall I am very pleased with the TV I selected.

Colors are true to life. It did take a while to learn to use the menus. I'm in my 80s and had to have my adult son show me how to operate the tv. I don't mean turning it on but rather getting closed captioning, etc. I still don't totally understand everything but I can do most of everything I need. I still have problems getting to Amazon Prime, etc, but I'll finally get the hang of it. I haven't had the tv that long yet. Overall I recommend this tv for it's clarity of picture and accurate colors.

I would suggest a folder where we could add a link to all the programs we are watching & when we finish a series, we could remove the link. You include a "watch list" now. The new folder could be called "watching list".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ll never buy Samsung again I received my TV in an open box. Get it hooked up to make sure it’s alright and there’s a lovely horizontal line across the TV. Only way to return it is if I carry the 50” TV into a UPS store. I’m a small person, it’s not happening. According to customer service UPS will only pick up from my home if the TV is 55”+. Though they say FedEx will pick up from me but I have to pay shipping to return the TV. I was told they wouldn’t charge me a restock fee which leads me to believe someone else will receive the broken TV after me. I should have known better than to buy from Samsung again. My kitchen appliances are all terrible. Fool me twice.

I did have an idea that it might by pretty good going into it because six months ago I purchased a 70 inch QLED 4K TV and it was a game changer for us. Samsung is our go to for pretty much all produces we purchase as a house hold. Just a great company that puts out products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tv - but lacking I would love to give this 50" QLED TV a 5-star rating - because the picture is amazing, order process and customer service was very good, shipping was perfect (they even knocked so it wouldn't be left outside, since there was rain forecasted), installation was a piece of cake - overall, a really nice TV. I've been buying Samsung TVs for years - and it is the only brand I would buy. But something has happened to their product!? Like I mentioned, I have bought Samsungs for years - and considering that this brand is much more expensive than others of the same size, I expected the quality to be there - as always. First inkling that something has changed was when I adjusted the volume. I still own my 10-year-old Samsung so it wasn't that my hearing has suddenly gone bad - but what I used to listen to at level 20, now had to be at 50 or above!? A few days later I put in a DVD - I had the volume at 100, and still, I could hardly hear it. I didn't understand it, until it occurred to me: Samsung wants me to now buy a sound bar - in addition to their expensive TV (and looking at the prices of their 'made for your TV' sound bars - I saw their game). I immediately returned my second Samsung that I just ordered, because there was no way I was going to buy two sound bars (return process was perfect). I did buy another brand sound bar, for a third the price: it was plug and play and sounds great with the 50" Samsung - but since I do not need the 'theatre experience' while watching television, I was upset that my $500 TV did not come with a good audio system - capable of watching standard television programs and dvd's at audible levels without an add-on.

The picture quality is breathtaking you can get lost in what your watching or playing the graphics....Wow!!! The sound that it produces movie quality no doubt about it you don't need all the extras with a sound like that and overall the product is reliable a d what could one ask for in today's market quality and reliability so Samsung this customer ain't going no where you got me for life

It's always a coin toss seeing a television in-store versus when you get it home. However, the picture holds up in both environments. The colors are crisp and sharp, and the solar-powered remote is a definite plus from an eco-friendly point of view. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, but I still have the box in case.....you know.

It has so many options to truly customize the display. I wish the speakers were a little better, but I bought a Samsung soundbar/ subwoofer combo that not only works great but the TV remote adjusts the sound as well. All in all the whole system is great! Sales and customer service/ support can't be beat!

I have been blamed for this by customer service and the only solution that Samsung offers is to pay for a repair that ranges between $850-950 dollars, hundreds of dollars more expensive than the screen itself. I’m so disappointed, I was very excited for this TV, as it was an update to an old LG that I had for many years, no issues, Much less a peeling screen. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Tv is great but the volume and stereo could u I love Samsung and all your products but my TV is lacking when the volume control comes in. You have to reach 45 for a normal sound. Stereo sucks. Also if you want to listen to your music you definitely don't want to use your TV. One you can't get it loud enough and two the stereo sucks. Just being honest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung's affordable 4K TV I got the 50 inch Q60D as a birthday present, and it like it so far. I have a Spectrum cable box, a Sony 4K UltraHD player and a Nintendo Switch hooked up to it. It has 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and an optical audio output on the back. The built in speakers don't sound the best, so you might want to have an external audio device like a home theater system, soundbar, or stereo system hooked up to the TV. The HDMI3 port also can be set up as an HDMI audio return channel(ARC) or you can use the optical audio output. I have the optical audio output hooked up to my late 80s Onkyo TX-850 2 channel stereo receiver with the help of a JTECH-D2A3 Digital to Analog Converter

Set up out of box was a breeze, remote took a little getting used to but now I love the simplicity of it, very easy to navigate anywhere I want to go from the home screen, my family enjoys the additional samsung plus channels that are included, picture quality is second to none. We are believers! So much so, that we purchased same model tv's for our office and master bedroom, paired all with samsung soundbars, and got Mom a similar tv for Christmas! We have been converted!

The picture is great across all platforms I have tried. The sound is also exceptional for a flat screen. I would highly recommend this tv to anyone looking for a tv that works perfectly for all your viewing needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad product but horrible customer service Never buy anything from Samsung. My TV came with a dark stripe on the right hand side, going from top to bottom. It also had a white strip on the bottom going left to right. I used Samsungs chat feature. I was on it for over an hour with anything resolved. The person I was chatting with would routinely take 10 minutes to reply. All I got was the agent telling me that Samsung wouldn’t charge me a restocking fee for returning my defective TV. I called Samsung’s phone number and got a bot to talk to. When I tell the bot I want to talk to a person it hangs up on me every time. Don’t waste your time with them. I will never purchase from them again. Adding: Called the customer service number, the bot hung up on me the first three times I requested an agent. So I spent 10 minutes with the bot (without requesting an agent) until they connected to a person. Person told me they couldn’t help me (why spend the time with the bot) and they connected me with someone that could. Nope. That person was in cell phones and I’m returning a TV. They connected me with someone who could help me. Nope, that third person would connect me with someone who could help. I’ve now been on hold for over 20 minutes. This is the worst ever. I promise to never buy a Samsung product ever again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This TV has a great picture. I use my TV daily for sports and streaming. The picture and sound are great and it is easily compatible with my Samsung phone. I do also like that you can charge the remote rather than needing batteries.

This TV has an amazingly clear picture and I can get all my channels with close captioning (deaf in one ear) - it's made a big difference in my watching experience. I can get all the channels I pay for, but so many extra with the "Samsung Plus"!! I love this TV!!

The picture is crisp and clear the sound is sharp and toned perfectly for listening and the set is light enough to bet set up by one person. If I had a complaint it would be the leg stand I would rather have a one piece solid platform than the two thin legs because the two legs don't always line up with the platform where the TV will sit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied Samsung customer When my 16 year old 46" Sony Bravia LCD television started giving the color stripes of death I started researching for a replacement. After a few days I narrowed my choices down to another Sony and the Samsung. I still have a Samsung 19" LCD PC monitor that I purchased new in 2008 and a 5 year old Samsung 860 EVO SSD and 2 year old Samsung 870 EVO SSD drives that are all working flawlessly. Choosing the Samsung QLED was a no-brainer. I thought the old Sony had a good picture but the Samsung blows it away. The QLED integrates nicely with an Amazon Fire TV Cube and an AirTV Anywhere with Sling Orange for streaming and local channels. I use the QLED with a VESA pedestal stand so I could continue to use my ZVOX SoundBase 440.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart? No, Genius I bought this TV to replace a conventional Samsung. The picture is excellent but these should be labeled genius TV. It took three days and help to get to the point where we could select and watch four aps with any reliability. The computer programmers went amok promising a gillion alternative approaches to every issue. I suspect that other manufacturers try to out do Samsung. There ought to be a setting for every day users.

Also the remote control is simple and easy to use. This is the second Samsung television I have purchased recently, one for the front room and one for the bedroom.
